NO HACK at all.

Only the beginning of the deep-freeze of the ETH-blockchain due to the difficulty-bomb.

Other exchanges have disabled their ETH withdrawals too.

Better sell then hodl/transfer.

This dip is temporary or going to be a permanent issue for ETH network? If it is a temporary issue then I feel it may be a good time to accumulate some more to sell later on. But if it is an issue can't be solved then a good time to sell now because prices are still good. I too got few ETH coins and still holding on to it, which I bought around 60+.

Nothings being hacked. Ether just can't handle big amounts of transactions and people are looking for alternatives.

Totally agree was not a hack only a delay in ETH so it does not justify its value go down,
This puts coimbase

Guess it's good I went into Ardor... it's the more scalable ETH competition. Just hope this blip on ETH doesn't cause the bubble to pop.. we need the total market cap to break out to avoid complications with technical analysis.

Also strange: Bittrex ETH/BTC is consistently above all other Western markets.

Coinbase has been hacked!
ETH has been effected!

should see major sell off..

Beware...

They'll fix it by claiming it was a hack and roll back all ETH prices to the ~U$100 mark in settling up-to-date transactions with CB's ETH holdings not affected.

If this is true then it will become a lesson for us to not trust online wallets to hold our coins especially if we have a huge amount of ethereum or any kind of cryptocurrency that has a good potential. If you are really concerned to your security then you should stay away from online sites that offers wallet for your coins because they are not safe unless you are the owner of the site.

Ethereum network is "congested", and etherscan doesn't show updated data. Others exchanges disabled ETH withdraws too(for example, Bittrex). There is no sign that they have been hacked, or they would probably disable Bitcoin and Litecoin withdraws too.

Worst case scenario this is a major bug in ETH network and ETH will die, and Coinbase won't be affected.

That's not a good sign - are they having the same problem as bitcoin is with backlogs?

Ethereum is always having problems that is why I am  more invested  platform. My Wife's etherwallet got hacked last month and we lost over 1 Bitcoin worth of ETH and eth tokens, so we have not had good luck with ETH either.

Some are saying that it's because of this --> https://qz.com/1004892/the-bancor-ico-just-raised-153-million-on-ethereum-in-three-hours/ that the eth network is now congested.

But even during the worst spam attacks with dozens of topics from people complaining about transactions not being confirmed the Bitcoin network didn't congested at the point of getting unusable for exchanges and the exchanges always allowed withdraws. What is different now?

I think it is the first time something like this happens with a major cryptocoin.

perhaps it's another frailty of the ethereum chain that it's engineer didn't see coming....

Investigating - We're investigating an issue with Ethereum sends and receives on the Coinbase platform. All Ethereum transactions will be delayed in the meantime. We appreciate your patience while we work towards a resolution.

Not good, shows MAJOR OUTAGE !!!

if this is the statement Coinbase made, then I wouldn't say this is a hack or anything, it could be just a minor issue with sending and receiving and they aren't obligated to offer a %100 up-time, this topic is trying to overstate the issue IMO.
Even if there is a hack, I doubt anyone would lose money considering the large capital and cloud funding coinbase has that can probably cover their own faults.

Beware...

Last week I noticed in the Coinbase says delay in etherum transactions due to network traffic. If it is the same. It should recover soon for the ETH users. They have implemented multiple altcoin wallet also in one account. Hope will get sort out soon.

There is no strong proof that this is a hack I think, but in every high there is low to come of course.

Etheruem gain a massive value in the last 2 weeks and this is the down trend that is happening right now and I really don't know why other altcoins is also going down with this Eth issue. I only thought that altcoins will go down if Bitcoin's price goes up rapidly.
