Hi I am a Reuters reporter working on a story about what bitcoin means for online gambling. While some have said that it may breathe new life into an industry crippled after black Friday, I'd also like to draw attention to some of the risks associated with it, like what happened to Mike Katz (who I spoke with this week). If anyone else on this site or someone you know has lost a good sum of money on Coinbet or another site that disappeared (especially one licensed or based in Costa Rica) I'd be much obliged if you'd be up for a chat. My email is [email protected]. Thanks Alex

This forum is the reason people hate cryptocurrency and another reason why you should not invest... we have roughly 4.5million missing and there is nothing we can do??

Now explain too me why exactly anyone new would join this space

The only option for you now is to try and reach an agreement with them "though I doubt they would be interested as they already closed and there were nothing to bend their actual lives to that website.

thats a good way to look at it and some nice advise. With all the legit longer running casinos there is no real need to put to much time and money into these less established sites. I was able to withdraw from coinbet.cc quite awhile ago but i remember it being kinda a compliacted mess before they finally cleared my very small transaction. Sorry to OP thats a heart breaker.

Thanks, you can tell when the new businesses are managing their website well and when they are not, there is no substitute for due diligence when the website is not trusted, we should also do ou due diligence when it is trusted

How can you get a portion back when they closed all ways of communication

Right I edited my post

Sometimes I feel like every Bitcoin business that disapears because it was unmanaged is positive because it means we are left with better managed businesses but it is hard to see so many sc.ams; when it seems a bit sc.ammy and unclear it is usually a sc.am or will end up badly, let's keep our business to the well managed websites and only small amounts on money on untrusted newcomers

I guess it is all over now. The scammers have long gone with your bitcoin.
Very sorry to see your losses, especially for OP. Sad

BitcoinzRulez, did you get back any of your money? You could try to deal with them and receive a portion of it

I was trying to help you guys come together.  Step one is where do you want to file suit?  Then contact a lawyer in that state and find one who will take the case.  Like I said the big hurdle is you have to prove someone had a connection to this website.  The Paul Regan guy, what is the proof he was connected to the site?  and 2., was it incorporated anywhere?
They aren't incorporated and are listed as an S.A. There's no chance to collect a penny. They think that all you need are e-mails and screen shots ROFL. Too bad that they don't have hard drives and cell phones as that is solid evidence.

its been said a few times that that customer service guy was paul and that blogger from many pages back said he was paul regan from florida.

i'm about 97% certain this is his facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/paul.regan.313

i sent him ONE message about coinbet and he changed his privacy settings almost immediately, but i have the original page up on my computer still with all his information.  he's from florida, formerly NY and if you google coinbet, paul regan you get to that profile.

https://www.google.com/search?q=facebook+paul+regan+coinbet&oq=facebook+paul+regan+coinbet&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l2.6826j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

i think he's the weakest link and we should all take a trip to florida and confront him.  see what he knows.

So you are getting closer to the owners, it seems it was a case of bad management, can someone confirm?

Very little information being giving out here if your looking for answers I think he's right paul is the weak link

This guy Paul is such a genius, I sent an e-mail to customer support asking about rollover, and the support must have asked Paul, then Paul accidentally replied to me (meaning to talk to support) and called me some unsavory names!  Then they lied to me, apparently, about getting rid of Paul just to shut me up.

I feel everyone has a small piece of info but it is very hard to understand what happened and who are the responsables
