Fake info there for a site who claim to be ' EVIDENCE-BASED '
do NOT TRUST this website

This site is not to be confused to be coinmarketcap.

This is a crypto events site, not a market cap site.

There is obviously a possibility that people adds fake events, and that is to be expected. Which is why there are votes for whether an event is legit or not. To verify whether an event is legit or not, first look at the number of up votes vs down votes. Then verify your info from an official source.

hahah Smiley you guys !!  How can coinmarketcal be scam ??
You have heard some news about Xcoin , than you can add this news on marketcal but with source!! if idiot people believe scam news what coinmarketcal can do it ?? There are many new users and they can easily be manupilated. Look this tweet from bittrex ;
https://twitter.com/BittrexExchange/status/966460871957450752
and read comments. There is a guy with almost same name bittrex !! and he says : Over 5,000,000 users on #Bittrex! We're giving away 5,000 ETH. To identify your address, just send 0,5-2,0 ETH to the address below and get 5-20 ETH back to the address you used for the transaction.
0x26F1dB8be15b98B4a176fb9AA171F747d4151F4a.. check this adress how many people send him their eth Smiley
So you must always check source!! do your own research!!
First to mention about that bittrex scamming attempt which there are really fools who fall out on such scamming without even thinking how the hell bittrex would give extra ETH to its traders without even just clarifying it out if the news is just true or a total scam attempt by someone.Going back to topic about coinmarketcal,i dont see a reason for this site to be a scam. How does would affect you?On which way it would turn out to be scam? Informations posted do really need to have source which most likely faking it out is hard.

I think this is the counterfeit of coinmarketcap. In first look nothing to notify but in second and more can notice the cal. According to its name this is not the original site of coinmarketcap. Actually there are more sites that looks the same with the original. Take care and double check.

How can we believe you if you just post it as empty details ? No proofs that site is a scam though . I suggest before posting this kind of post you might want to add details so person who will read this will be detailed .

mostly i read in the alts section thread is the word “scam” , before we say as a form of scam you must present a proof that it is a scam so that people can be aware of it, on the otherhand honestly i dont have any idea whats CoinMarketCaL is? all i know and i mostly used is coinmarketcap to monitor the prices of my coins or tokens, about people using coinmarketcal better to check 2 or 3 other resources of information so that you can be sure of what you want to know about cryptocurrencies price.

do you mean coinmarket cap? or coin marketcal? give the links please..why its scam?
https://coinmarketcal.com
I think this is not a scam website because everything should not perfect in the world. You only avoid these kind of website. Already coinmarketcap and coinmarket app is available in the market so you try this kind of sites. These are the best websites in crypto platform. But I don't know coinmarketcal.com because I am always trust coinmarketcap. Just ignore these kind of new sites.

Everyone can add information and event to site.
Of course, much of this information is not true or rumors.
Need to watch official sources.

Guys, large media are sold for a lot of money and make "corrupt" articles. It's no surprise that sites can corrupt data for their manipulations in the marketplace
exactly what the do very often

Just imitate from coinmarketcap, whatever it is do not believe it.
it's hard to get the truth, unless it's already getting the news that can be trusted.

@crypto_flair. It appears someone made trading decisions using some information that didn't happen, now they're blaming you hehehe.

It is not the site's fault that some information are inaccurate. They already know the people who submit them are also the users themselves, so you do not need to worry. All the risk taken will be up to them. So if they lose money, it's their fault, not yours.

Also, this is the cryptospace. Big announcements get cancelled or postponed all the time.

Hey guys,

I'm Anthony, founder of CoinMarketCal. Some asked the question but there is nothing fishy with the name, we are named CoinMarketCal because we want to be the tool that complements CoinMarketCap.

To answer your concern, here is how the system works:

1) A user submits an event
2) If needed, our team deletes the event
3) If needed, our team edits the event so it looks as professional as possible

Some of the rules: It needs to be unique, from official sources, dated and basically scam-free (photoshopped proofs and fake airdrops are good examples)

You were referencing the XCP event and the fact that they didn't deliver anything. I didn't follow the story but if it's true then I'm sorry to hear this. Please be aware that we cannot control the devs' actions. Just so you know, the event seemed legit for a huge majority of the crypto community (as seen by the votes and Twitter).

A few months ago we added a Report/Edit link so people can quickly contact us if they are aware of a scam. The link is just under the filter on the homepage.

Even though we are trying our best to get rid of scams and fake news, please do your own research.

Hope it helps!

The main source of this side are users. That makes it so powerful but it can also be manipulated.

If you use it right and dyor before acting - alway the same in crypto -, this is a very powerful tool to get market events.
