i didn't learn coinpayments.net
until you fall victim to it.
it links to a site https://giftmarket.top/ to sell cheap gift cards
and the payment method is to transfer money to the wallet of coinpayments.net
you will never receive gift card after money transfer
you will also never get refund from coinpayments.net
Stay away from it and warn everyone

Sorry but you are blaming the wrong person here. Coinpayments is merely a payment processor-- a tool designed to help merchants accept cryptocurrencies. Just like how exchanges (and its wallets) can be used by scammers, the same also applies to these payment processors. Unless you're saying this obscure website was endorsed by them which I doubt happened.

Try to report the website for fraud in coinpayments, maybe they'll ban them or something.

Latest update about my case. I am not going to get back my BTC with the reason since the TX fees would be more than the refund amount, my BTC will just disappear into their pocket.

If they are asking me to pay 0.00005000++ BTC just to send 0.0001 BTC, then what's the point with the existence of Coins? We all use coins because of low transaction fees, and they are asking you to pay 50% TX fees, otherwise they will sent you a timeout email and your BTC will go to their pocket.

Think twice before you decide to use Coinpayments.net.

Hello, I want to warn everyone about unexpected payments using the service coinpayments.net !
I have some kriptonite bytecoin. I decided to use BCN to pay for my VPN.
When forming a payment !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't notice (distracted) iD of the payment.
BCN went off without a payment iD. (70 usd).
I wrote about the need for a refund in coinpayments.net !
Answer: it is necessary to pass KYC and fee 8%.
Thus, you can pay,but you can not return.
I'm not a criminal,I just like minimal anonymity.
I am not going to pass at them KYC.
They're just intermediaries between me and the VPN service.
Be careful with coinpayments.net !

I agree be careful with coinpayments.net. Their support is rude and complicated if you want to submit for a refund. They does not try to understand the whole situation and simply telling you no, no refund. My situation is pretty simple. I bought an ads package offered by merchants. It doesn't cost much, just 0.0001 BTC. Without any delaying after confirming my purchase, I immediately transfer BTC to the address provided. After couple of hours, I receives and email from coinpayments.net that my transaction has timed out. I checked my BTC transaction and stated it is still under 0/3 confirmation. I just ignore it for about 10 hours. I check my BTC transaction again and finally it has already confirmed.

Since coinpayments.net earlier email stating that this transaction has timed out, so I issue a support ticket asking for refunds. Their reply was my funds didn't confirm until after timeout due to not including enough TX fee for the Bitcoin miners. I checked my wallet transaction history and clearly see that I have paid 0.00000567 fees for 0.0001 BTC transfer. So their reply was I pay too little fees, so those miners takes time for confirmation. By the way, I purchase ads package from 2 websites and 1 went through without any problem. Both package were bought and payment were sent at the same time, but 1 timeout email received after about 3 hours. It took about 4 hours for the both packages that I have paid to confirm.

Of course someone here might say just $1 worth of BTC, forget about it. It is not about how much the value are, it is about the problem on coinpayments.net. They can easily sent you a timeout email, then your BTC can just disappeared in thin air.

Coinpayments wallet is one of the most used and successful cryptocurrency wallets that we do have in the market right now. CoinPayments is safe, secure, offers a lot of features for sure and the price charged is also minimal. But I could not log in to my account because 2FA was included without my knowledge! It turns out I will never be able to log in to your account ?!     They have an answering machine responding - change the password .. and this is all called support ... I did not turn on 2FA ... then the admins themselves turned on 2FA so that I couldn’t log in ...

People are so quick to call companies a scam as soon as they don't like something even if it is completely unrelated to the actual problem they are experiencing. Here we have a guy who is conducting illegal operations and his account is shut down. Kudo's to CoinPayments for doing that IMO. When users are taken advantage of and its brought to their attention they act on it.

You are actually calling CoinPayments a scam when they are only trying to keep users safe and protect them. I hope you can see how ridiculous that sounds.

They spend a significant amount of time trying to prevent this type of behavior. Check out this blog article they just posted literally trying to protect people. https://blog.coinpayments.net/news-features/coinpayments-tips-to-avoid-a-cryptocurrency-scam

The issue I have is stated aboce ^^

Im not calling them out a scam but not having all the information is bad business practice for me. Missleading users to pay $25 to find out they need to pay 50K a year?

Thats like saying - Hey wanna join our team? give me $25 for the initial entrance fee (weeks later) - Hey by the way, welcome to the club! Now we need 50K a year  from you?

That doesn't happen. That is misleading and that is miss communicating.

Am I wrong in saying this?
If so please explain why?

FYI - This is what you get after paying the $25 fee...So you pay $25 to find out you have to pay $50K per term

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in having your coin hosted on the CoinPayments platform. At first glance, it looks like your coin will be able to be successfully integrated onto our platform, but if you would like to proceed we will need to take a more in depth look at your code.

In case you are not familiar with CoinPayments, we are the first and largest altcoin payment processor. We were founded in 2013 and were the first to offer payment processing capabilities for Ethereum and Litecoin. Since then we have grown to over 1 million merchants and users, across 235 countries and we have integrated over 450 altcoins into our platform.

By hosting your coin on CoinPayments, you can take advantage of the success we have achieved and benefit from the following:

Increased user adoption
Hosted solution for users to store, send and receive without having to download a desktop wallet
Support for ecommerce capabilities through easy to use APIs and plugins for all the major platforms
Save time/money building your own infrastructure
Great support/availability
Increased online presence with your coin being displayed to our users and website traffic
You may not have known that we have launched our own CPS Coin which will provide huge discounts within the CoinPayments platform when paying for our services using CPS Coin. Find out more info about CPS Coin here. Please see our pricing chart for coin hosting below:

While we can appreciate your concern over our hosting pricing, we would like to make it known that there is a significant amount of work involved in adding a new coin to our platform to provide a hosted wallet solution along with automated payment processing through our plugins and APIs. In addition, the ongoing maintenance and liability of users storing coins on our platform also comes with a cost.

However all that being said, we have just recently changed our coin hosting policy. Now instead of charging an ongoing monthly fee, we will instead take a deposit and then provide a FULL refund at the end of the 1 year term, provided that the coin provides advanced notification for any code updates/maintenance/forks/airdrops/swaps/etc...

Our coin hosting page outlines the requirements to be added and we will still charge the $25 application fee for the initial review of the requirements, but most importantly to ensure we only get serious requests (before we received too many requests from coin holders and spammers, and not the coin's core team).

To answer the other questions, all the coins we support can be seen on our supported coins page  (make sure to click the appropriate tab, eg. Crypto, Ether Tokens (Wallet + Payments), Ether Tokens (Wallet Only), etc...).

We are excited to further the adoption of crypto in the mainstream and we hope our new coin hosting program will benefit everyone!

CoinPayments Team

My "concern" is that you charge and make people pay $25 just to tell them that they need to pay 50K a year?

That imo is bad business. This Information SHOULD be known. Yes i understand it takes time, Yes i understand it takes resources but doesnt all business? You sir are taking advantage of the initial investment stage giving project "hope" that they will be listed easily.

Have a full price breakdown which states what happens and why these funds are needed is important.
If i saw that the initial cost for the project review is $25 then the main cost of 50K I would have not given you the hassle in the first place since i know we cant afford it yet.

This is why i stand by my statement of leveraging your users with missing information which leads them to atleast give you $25.

Yes $25 is small. But sir, its the principle.

What about airdrop coinpayments that gives 100CPS coin worth $10 to the participants who register on the website coinpayments from 1 maret 2018 until the 1st of june 2018. whether it also includes fraud or just the lure of many users who use the service website and finally exposed to fraud also later?  Shocked

@KindHearted

No, I wasn't registered agent (yet), but my intention was to expand business and go entirely legal way.
I agree that they should give me some time frame as the real company should do. For example, PayPal would give the option or at least they have the clear time frame to release funds. But here, there is nothing like that.

@Lionel

I think I won't trust any of the merchants again. Recent "adventures" with coinpayments, btc-e, poloniex which is denying to verify my account for nearly three months now lowers my trust for any of the "companies" dealing with BTC.

The best option would be to make your gateway. You don't need to have your computer turned on 24/7. You can always get some VPS server or dedicated server to act as your payment gateway. I think the good idea is to get "verification" before your business goes online. What I mean is sending the merchant your address and asking if they can check if it's ok with their ToS. If they are ok with that, you will have some proof that they agreed to work with you.

Lol ^This guy georgeso^

He's conducting illegal business, with "intention...to expand business and go entirely legal way" while running an HYIP. BTC-e and poloniex won't give him an account and he's calling CoinPayments a pure evil scam.

I feel really sorry for this guy.

In other news, CoinPayments is a great company and I have been working with them for years without problem. One of the oldest in the industry and constantly improving their services. Thumbs up!

Sorry to hear what happened to you, but you don't mention any details about what your business was or used to do...leads me to believe it wasn't on the up and up. Don't you think if you tried to run that kind of business with anyone, they would suspend your service or worse?

I've been using CoinPayments for a year now and it works great. I did have some learning curve issues at the beginning but that was more about learning crypto transactions than issues specific to CoinPayments.

Anyway, I highly recommend using them as a payment processor. Makes life easy and they have low fees.

I am a newbie and registered an account here just to reply to coinpayments. I don't like hype site and any illegitimate business but coinpayments have no rights to take away or steal peoples money and feel be proud of doing so. The fact is Hype is illegal and stealing other money is more illegal than that. Overall that money owners are people so coinpayments steal peoples money and they confess that without any shame. That's why coinpayments will never be the biggest company like Google and they are really narrow-minded. If they had a good character they should at least return the money thinking of the people. Anyway my concept is now clear about coinpayments and will take my further right decision after reading this forum.

Who decides what is a Hyip site? If it's ilegal the company in this case Coinpayments should advise or report to authorities. Now if any wallet company decides to close any wallet from thems clients, who should really we trust?

Better use a hardware wallet. I was loking for a XRP wallet, but with this info I see all electronical wallets are taking advantage and freeze any wallets just if they want to.

we stole your stolen money because we could, there is absolutely nothing that you could do to stop us from doing the same thing with other ponzi owners, second lol

Thanks for confirming that. Using double standard is something natural in coinpayments. I hope many future customers can see that and they will decided to not to use your services in the future. Looks like you can change your mind every single second and decide that you don't like customer A any more and steal his money also.
