Manchester City already got a good win from a first leg in Champions League against Copenhagen so they will not mind too much about the second leg.Yups... An advantage for Manchester City because Pep Guardiola can rest the main players and try to play some of the second line players in the 2nd leg.
This will give them more time to think of a Manchester derby match against Manchester United and this will reduce chance for Manchester United in that match. Even a draw looks to be out of reach for Manchester United if Manchester City won't suddenly underperform.
Before playing the Manchester derby match, Manchester City will face Luton Town in the FA Cup tournament. Again, in my opinion, Pep Guardiola can rest several main players to ensure several main players are fit against Manchester United.
Luton's quality is not comparable to Manchester City's, but if Pep Guardiola is serious about the FA Cup, not all players will be completely rested. Pep will bring them on with just a few moments remaining before the end of the match.
