You may want to try checking your addresses "manually" using the BIP39 mnemonic code converter (https://iancoleman.io/bip39/). Create an offline copy, read the instructions at the bottom of the page...

Once offline, put your Ledger mnemonic into the tool, click the BIP44 tab and then start hunting through the addresses to see if you can find the address you sent to. It really shouldn't be any higher than maybe 100.

If that doesn't work, I'd suggest changing to BCH in the coin selection, just in case you accidentally copied a BCH address and sent to that by mistake

I was looking for solution of my problem and find this thread,I also have such situation where I use BTC address from Ledger Nano S and I am sure it is correct and transaction is confirmed, but I not see any sign of transaction or balance change in Ledger Bitcoin Wallet or when using Electrum.

I wonder if OP is found a solution for this problem.More info posted here : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ledger-nano-s-not-showing-confirmed-transaction-2578278

Unfortunately no resolution to this problem. The transaction has been confirmed on the blockchain but never appeared in my wallet. I'm guessing it was some sort of phishing/malware scam but I don't really see why:

1. I used the coinbase ios app QR reader, surely that can't be hacked?
2. I scanned that with the QR receive address in the ledger chrome app. can that be hacked?

I'm gutted; 1.46 btc gone forever from the looks of it! Sad

Guys can anybody help pls?
Share the transaction or your bitcoin address where your bitcoin save or better to try to contact the support..
And i think they can help you to solve your issue and give the screen shot that your transaction is not appearing..
Try to contact it here and maybe they can reach you easily..
https://twitter.com/CoinbaseSupport

Thanks, I've tried that but they haven't replied to me in two weeks, and it doesn't look like I'm alone in having them be unresponsive

Just out of curiosity, how are you checking for the addresses?

Did you create a new wallet in Electrum (standard wallet, "Use a hardware device"?) and then look at the addresses generated or are you checking some other way?

Also, in your original message, you said:
... So I pressed receive on my Nano S Ledger, scanned the QR code through the coinbase app and transferred them
Where did this QR code come from exactly... were you using the Ledger Chrome extension?

Also, it seems like the coins are still in that address, so i wouldn't give up home just yet Wink

To check for the addresses I connect my Ledger and open it through the Chrome extension, then go to Settings -> Tools -> Sign Message, and it gives a list of all the different wallet addresses (I think). Anyway when I search for the address I sent the coins to, it doesn't appear.

And yes, the QR code came from the receive tab of the Ledger Chrome extension. I have since transferred more and they've turned up in my Ledger perfectly, so I'm guessing the QR code sent them to a different wallet and they're gone!?!

Does anybody have any ideas/suggestions? I'm just completely confused by what's happened. Is there any possibility that the QR code I scanned or the scanned in my Coinbase app could be wrong?

If its a watching only wallet then you need to import the private key of that address to another wallet which operates normally. Now clarify me things as you are confusing me a bit.

1. This 1.4 Btc you bought two days ago to which wallet did you transfer them and I need to see the transaction ID of such transfer.

If you want to send from the watch only wallet, then here is the guide on how to do it and transfer your amount of bitcoins from your watch only wallet to Ledger Nano S.
http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/coldstorage.html#create-a-watching-only-version-of-your-wallet

And I don't understand why you need a watch only wallet when you have a hardware one ?

Ok thanks, i'll try that and hopefully they'll come through. Is it common that they may go missing then?

The 1.4 BTC i transferred from my coinbase wallet to my Nano S Ledger using the ios app and scanning the receiving QR code on the Nano S Ledger. The transaction shows as confirmed but there aren't any coins in my wallet. I tried doing exactly the same thing again yesterday but with a much smaller amount and they appeared almost immediately, so i have no idea where my 1.4 BTC went.

The transaction ID is: https://blockchain.info/tx/6bbc388dcd1dcf5324fe661034cdc38a424c34bc374d0cf146f7d8599bf9ff46
I think much better for now to backup the private key of the address where you should receive the 1.4 btc and import it in electrum instead use desktop to see also the history of the transaction..
If you are still not seeing your bitcoin in your wallet maybe you have slow internet connection try to connect to a good  better internet connection and maybe its not syncing that is why you can't seen your bitcoin in your bitcoin wallet.
according to the blockchain its already been confirmed and i think your bitcoin should be there..

Where do I find the private key with the Ledger Nano s to import it? I have a very fast internet connection and have tried subsequent transactions that have all gone through fine, and haven't had any syncing issues in the app.

I'm worried the coins have gone to another account but not sure how that would have happened

Check all addresses of your Nano Ledger S and see if this address "12koSJgNGSVWbPfN8G4ZViy3iKpGxPJ1hL" is one of yours there. I explained several posts above how to check for all addresses in your Ledger wallet. If it is then the coins should be in your wallet as the transaction have 367 confirmations so far. If not then I am afraid you have send it to the wrong bitcoin address.

Also check this address "14ZeFot6Tmm6e5QnCZGN9dWmMiSsXeQM12"

Thanks, so I've checked and none of them are 12koSJgNGSVWbPfN8G4ZViy3iKpGxPJ1hL unfortunately. It looks like there's a high possibility the QR code was hacked then. Looks like I've lost my coins Sad

Sorry... that is my mistake for creating the confusion about the "watching wallet"... wrong terminology Sad

What you want to do is sync the Ledger Nano S with Electrum (it is effectively a "watching wallet", but you set it up differently)... follow the instructions from Ledger here: https://ledger.groovehq.com/knowledge_base/topics/how-to-setup-electrum-nano-slash-nano-s

"File -> New/Restore -> Standard Wallet -> Use a hardware device"... It should detect your Nano S and then sync everything from it (except the private keys of course Wink)

You should then be able to see all the transactions... and you should also be able to see your Receive and Change addresses etc.

Ok I've downloaded Electrum and put the wallet address I sent the coins to and they have appeared in there. I'm not sure what I do next though, do I need to use the private key from my sending account, or the receiving Ledger wallet? the sending is through Coinbase so I'm not sure how I even got about getting the private key from there (if at all available)

Click on receive in Ledger. You should get a bitcoin address. Copy this and paste into Electrum "Pay to" box. Send the amount from Electrum and you should receive it instantly in your Ledger. Do not mess with the private keys.

Ok thanks i'll try that. Does it matter that the wallet address changes each time and doesn't match up with where the initial transaction was sent?

No. Address changes every time in order to ensure a better privacy to your coins. Re using the same address although it can be done is never recommended from almost all big major wallets, that's why Ledger for example changes address every time you request payment.

So by using a different address to send from the wathing wallet in Electrum, should still be able to recognise that the private key related to that wallet is right, and then transfer them to my Ledger? Sorry I'm new to this and pretty worried i've lost the 1.4 BTC I bought two days ago..!
