BTCGuild doesn't list your solved block numbers, but the Slush "My Account" page does at the bottom.

https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=rankings

Unless placed, you are always listed at the bottom of the rankings.

Yes, that's how I know I hit 1 block with them. I show at the bottom with 1 block, but I have way of knowing the specific block number.

I received my "January batch" miners in late February, and have been mining steady for about 40 days.  I've already solved 3 blocks.

You solved 3 blocks in 40 days with a miner that is estimated to solve 1 every 177 days?

With multiple miners (plural). But even with 5 miners, 3 blocks in 40 days is still much better luck than expected. BTCGuild doesn't list your solved block numbers, but the Slush "My Account" page does at the bottom.  My page is showing #288025 and #293474.  It makes me wish I had been solo mining!! But then again, I might not hit another one for the next 6 months.

I got my 2Th from them.. need to RMA the unit.. it is not hashing correctly..   about 1.4 TH.. not what I want.

Is this the speed reported on the pool site after several hours of mining?  (1) Don't trust the numbers the TM-IV is giving you on its status page. (2) It takes several hours for the hash rate on any given pool to stabilize.  I've noticed the rate typically climbs slowly for several hours.  (3) Make sure you have the latest firmware update.  I've got 5 TM-IV units, and each of them run (with slight variation) at about 1.605 TH/s on Slush's pool after latest firmware update.

I received my "January batch" miners in late February, and have been mining steady for about 40 days.  I've already solved 3 blocks.  You should do proportionally as well.  I can't speak too badly about Cointerra.  It wasn't 2.0 TH/s as advertised, but they are performing much better than the KNC Neptunes at this point.  So we take what we can get.

Well, i always had an idea that cointerra might do this. And i actually have an intuition that cointerra is not gonna ship at all. I don't think they even have the hardware ready. They promise too big a claim, i would love to see them live up to people's expectations.

They did ship the January Batches I've personally seen a friend of mines. He ordered a fair amount of units and they all arrived.
Only problem was the 2TH miners he was promised were actually all different in speed, 1TH to about 1.6TH.
I was glad i put my money into the KnC Neptunes. All thought they actually havent arrived yet. Who knows when they might.

Every single person who mines crypto needs to stop pre-ordering TODAY and end this madness.

Exactly this. It's utter madness, if a company want to develop a product, let them develop it, demonstrate it and then sell it. People need to stop paying for vapourware that is never ever shipped on time. There is going to be many multiple of terrahashes hitting the network that won't even return their investment. The only people laughing are the vapour manufacturers.

Studio1 -

its all very well saying that, but the sheer cost of designing and producing an asic, let alone go into manufacture on custom hardware... runs into the millions.  no company can afford to do it unless (a) they have already made millions (which means only existing bitcoin asic companies can do it)... or (b) they take pre-orders from customers and use those funds to kickstart their production.

hashfast & cointerra were hybrid companies... they raised some funds from private investors to get the design done... (circa $1m)..  and then they raised the rest of the $5m from pre-orders, to make the masks and start production.

no one can afford to just 'enter' the bitcoin mining business without significant funds.  those funds will usually come via pre-orders.  If they take pre-orders, then at least it will be decentralised and offered to the public at retail.

AND IF THEY DONT do pre-orders, then expect the company could become a private mine.  (like 21e6 llc)... which raised all of its money from private investors, and its not selling any miners to the public.

Totally appreciate the point, but in every other area of industry and business companies develop the product then bring it to market. I cannot think of another area of tech development where this business model is applied.
Didn't people pre-order Xbox One and PlayStation 4?

The problem is Microsoft and Sony didn't directly get those funds and they didn't use those funds to research the hardware.  In fact, my preorder wasn't even CHARGED until it shipped.

Yeah and I'm regretting that!

No mention of HDCP protection on gameplay and that you would be forced to upload 720p videos to Facebook!

They've really sucked the enjoyment out of getting one first on pre-order because you couldn't make 1080p YouTube videos with it!  Angry

I'm sure @BFL_Josh just sits backs and laughs EVERY time another company misses their deadline.  Sure, they missed theirs by a lot, but damn.  Preorder lesson should have been learned by now.

Disclaimer: I pre-ordered BFL then BA and Cointerra assuming they'd miss.

Either way, my pay-ship-mining 180 Gh/s Antminers are the troll's tits.
