There are a lot of cgminer fixes and stability improvements with the latest firmware.

Is there any possibility that something was changed that would affect p2pool performance? Take the following graph:

http://i.imgur.com/krWBoVA.png

Nevermind the gaps, they're all accounted for. The large gap in the middle was the testing of 0.7.6 on a pool with great results - ~1.58 TH/s pool-side. Moving over to p2pool, I got bad results, so I switched it back to 0.6.48 after a confirming the ~12 hours of poor results. Is anyone else observing this, or is this likely some configuration problem on my end?

Same here no change in Hashrate,  Undecided at 1.6 , I do get less HW error , I'm getting the feeling that these units will never do 2Th/s (at least with the ver of PCB that Batch 1,2 and 3 got)

You are lucky.  My hashrate dropped ~30% after the upgrade as reported by the pool.  Looks like they dropped the temp threshold about  7 degrees celcius.  Result, my CoinTerra throttles now even in a cooled operating environment.  I've downgraded to the old firmware and am extremely displeased with my dealings with CoinTerra.  At least BFL compensated people.  I can't even get a response from CoinTerra and although I was promised coupons originally for the delay after they failed to meet their own hashrate/timeline and refused to honor their hashrate compensation promise (no way I'd actually order another product from them), I've to this day received no response, no compensation, no apology.  Just silence.

so glad The Pros showed up!!

now we have the adults into mining and... blah blah

Bro, they still continue to advertise and sell the product as 2TH/s.

If anyone expects anything except getting shafted by them, I will have a very good laugh about it.

That would be the most appropriate way for Cointerra to compensate buyers for loss of hashrate and increased power consumption.

There are a lot of cgminer fixes and stability improvements with the latest firmware. The hashrate demonstrated should match the pool now, and there are far more useful stats in the advanced->stats tab. I worked with them on coordinating the cgminer updates.

No, I doubt you'll ever see more than 1.6TH out of these devices, but I have nothing to do with that aspect.

Can anyone help me with my terraminer? It randomly stopped working and idk why. fans still turn on, but not mining, can't connect to the control panel, and it's not connecting to the internet.

It all started when Ghash.IO went down for about 20 minutes this early morning.

Have you tried powering it off and letting it sit for about couple minutes and then plug in power to socket 1 first and into socket 2 within 5 seconds of plug in of socket 1.
I tried that ~15 times, I tried to reset it, tried factory resetting it, etc.

But then I unplugged and plugged my rig back in and it started working again... I don't know why the last 15 times I did that it didn't work... Still trying to contact customer support.

New firmware posted today. Has anybody tried it?

I applied it and the stats page looks a bit different, not much though. I'm at power step 9 and getting 1,607 Gh/s. Although the pool (ghash.io) is reporting anywhere from 1.3 th/s to 1.85 gh/s... just like before.

New firmware posted today. Has anybody tried it?

Applied about 30 minutes ago, and so far so good. They changed the interface and stats page a little (nothing major, just how the GH/s is presented).

Hash rate is at 1.4TH/s (power step '7'), which is more or less what it was at before...I'll give it a couple hours and check back to see if it stabilized any higher. If it looks good, I'll probably try stepping up the power a bit to see if I can get one or more of the cores to go offline like before (power step '8' and above triggered it for me).

have you tried doing a factory reset?

thanks

The reset button on the front? I tried that. I tried pressing it for a short time, I tried pressing and holding it, and nothing worked. No lights are coming on at all. No green lights, no amber lights, no red lights. The lights on the back of the TM (where you connect the power cords) is turning on though. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, not working. Someone else said it's a problem with the beaglebone (sp?), but I don't know how to fix that or if I even can. It's not showing up under my DHCP.

yep dam lucky you are. I only get 1.5-1.6 Th/s just a disappointment with a 2Th/s miner; now I go ahead and buy a cheap A1 1Th miner and I get a 1.1+ Th/s , wait!  Huh something just does not add up here.

Man CT has some work to do < see  Huh I found a Newer FW off their website that they actually have ver  6.57 which actually gets the TerraMiner to go wild abit , I've been on it for 24 hr and see that its good step, however can be slower sometime and way faster other times so I guess that it might not be ready for prime time. Power Step 8
FYI how to get it PM me or just go to their website and chose firmware download -> COPY link which ends in /TerraMiner_0.6.48.tgz and replace 48 for 57 .... so you know its legit. I hope to see a newer ver since this also runs cgminer 4.0.1 and has a date of 3/3/14

CHeers , and yes use at your own risk

Cryptocurrency Rules man!
Actually I do have a Cisco Firewall VPN router there. But when I try to setup vpn the router say it wants to change the IP Address to something like 10.XX.1X.XX instead of 198.1.168.1. So I didn't do it. What happens if I click on apply? I'm afraid I can't connect to the datacenter static Ip anymore.

So I know the IP  address 240.XXX.XX.XXX, and then how do I connect to 192.168.1.XXX?Huh How do I connect to 240.XXX.XX.XXX and point to 192.168.1.XXX??? Please let me know  thanks.
You really want a good router with good VPN support so you can VPN in and access the miners that way and/or a local computer there you can remote into to admin the Cointerra units more easily.

If you don't know how to do any of that you probably shouldn't just be signing up for a data center!  It sounds like you put the machine there and had them directly connect it to the data line?  That's not gonna work if they probably gave you a static IP-you would have to get into the cointerra unit first to configure it to use that specific static IP, but this would leave your WebUI and SSH exposed to the open internet and leave you much more vulnerable to getting compromised.

I would ask whoever is at the data center to see if they can temporarily loan you a router and have them log into the webUI for you to configure the static IP to whatever your static IP is, then hook the cointerra back up to the open internet...just make sure you set a really secure password for the webUI and changed the ssh root password to something very secure.  And then make sure you're using https:// to connect to your cointerra because the http:// webUI sends the fucking passwords in cleartext.

I'm really not sure how you got it setup, is it behind a router or not over there?  How have you been able to connect to the unit?

If you have a cheap old PC they'll let u throw there as a remote machine it makes life a little easier lol.
