I will do my best to add as many API imports as possible in the next time.
Best, Dario
Guys, but I did not understand something, what could be the reporting before the tax, if the crypto currency does not allow it to be done? Or did I not understand something?

Any chance you might be adding automatic import via Bittrex API support similar to how you've added Poloniex recently?  I would immediately sign up for a paid account to save me from entering all of my bittrex transactions every day. Smiley

Thanks for a great site Smiley

I can see a huge difference in AVG% between these two methods. Not really sure which one is more accurate (reflecting true amount) If I sell some of my shares in coin A and reinvest on coin B.

Example:
Buy 1 BTC for 100 USD in 2014
Sell 1 BTC 500 USD in 2015
Buy 1 BTC for 1000 USD in 2017

"Average of all Assets" will calculate the average cost basis from all your purchases.
In this example: (100 + 1000) / 2 = 550 USD

"Average of unsold Assets" will calculate the average ONLY from all unsold assets.
In this example the cost basis will be 1000 USD, as the first BTC from 2014 has already been sold in 2015.

Because the gain from all your sales is already included in your "realized gain", I would recommend the new "Average of unsold Assets" method.
The older method ignores all sales and is just taking an average from all your purchases.

But both methods are fine, just in a different way.
It depends on how you would like to see your gain calculated Smiley

Dario

Just came here to say thanks for all of your new features and active development. Crypto trading will not be easy without this product.  Grin
Thank you sana Smiley

I have one question though,

From now on the calculation can be changed. The following are available:
- Average of unsold Assets as Cost Basis (default)
- and Average of all Assets as Cost Basis (old method)

I can see a huge difference in AVG% between these two methods. Not really sure which one is more accurate (reflecting true amount) If I sell some of my shares in coin A and reinvest on coin B.

I am impressed! You have not only implemented the basic feature, but added so many extras, and in such a short time.

You, Sir, are a programming wizard.

Haha, thanks a lot  Cheesy

I'm glad you like it

Just want to say thanks for a great product. I purchased a 1-year unlimited account some time ago and couldn't be happier.

I have a lot of cross-exchange transactions, dozens of daily smaller trades, random BTC deposits and other transactions that throw off other tools but using cointracking I am able to make sense of all of it and even my profit/loss charts are fairly accurate.

When I had an issue some weeks ago I reached out to support via email and Dario responded promptly and resolved the issue quickly.

Thanks again and looking forward to what may come in the future!

Hey taipalag,

Thanks for the Kraken note.
Sorry, I still got not used to their coins names.
They are using 'XXBT' for Bitcoin, 'XXDG' for Doge but 'DASH' for Dash  Huh

I have fixed it and it will not happen again.
Thanks.

If you want to add your wallet balance at once, click on "New",
- set the type to "Deposit"
- Enter your amount and the currency
- Enter a date
- Set the Exchange or Group field to "BTC Core Wallet" (optional)

There are some more examples in the FAQ section and in the Documentation page.

BTW:
You can use the Bitcoin Wallet import to get all your BTC transactions automatically into CT.

I'm glad it worked Smiley

You can enter the data from your cold wallets manually.
It does not have to be each single transaction.
You can just add the total value if you like. This will be much easier.

Hi Dario,

Ah ok. The problem is, I have trades at Kraken dating back to 2015, however the date selection of the CSV export is broken and it is impossible for me to select a time period more than two months back. I have contacted Kraken but haven't received a response yet.

So it seems at the time being I can't use your web site to track my portfolio.

Thanks,

I know, Krakens export datepicker is a pain in the ass.
I have contacted them twice, and only got a "thanks for reporting. We do our best to fix it." message.

But I found a workaround to handle their datepicker:
Switch both sides and overwrite the dates in both text boxes.
Type in 01/01/2018 in the LEFT textbox and 01/01/2015 in the RIGHT one.

Sometimes it's not working on the first attempt, so just try it again.
Once you click on apply, the system will change both values back correctly, resulting in: FROM: 01/01/2015, TO: 01/01/2018

Just ensure you have checked all checkboxes and the type is set to "ledgers".
Now export it and import in on CoinTracking Smiley

Best,
Dario

Hey taipalag,

The Kraken API does not import deposits and withdrawals at this moment.
I will include them asap.

Right now I would recommend to use the Poloniex API import and the regular Kraken CSV import, as both can import all trade-types into CoinTracking (including trades, margins, ledgers, deposits and withdrawals).

Any plans of an Android app?  Smiley

Hey,
Not at this moment, as I'm not an app developer.
But I will try to create a homescreen widget for andriod.

Do your know the mobile version of CoinTracking?
It should work fine on mobiles and tablets Smiley

60 min is too much in my opinion, can you make it atleast 15 mins. People using polo API with 20 sec interval for their bots (including myself).

OK, I will check the amount of requests the next days and will reduce the cooldown.

Thanks so much for adding Poloniex API  Smiley awesome work !

So I deleted all my Poloniex history and enabled the API import, now its showing me more coins than I actually have and more profit.
This cannot be something else as I use that account only with Poloniex. And why there's 60 min waiting period for API import ?

Also, can we have a slack channel for better communication please ?

The API will import all your selected trade-types.
So it must match your Poloniex trade information.
You can cross-check on the Polo website.

The Polo import will automatically import all your trades. No need to do a manually check.
In case you want to check them manually, we've added a 60 min cooldown, to avoid too many Polo API requests.
