Are there plans to add API for imports from Celsius network?

Celsius pays interest on crypto deposits, so there is some difference with other standard tx types from exchanges, maybe.

Yes, we've been talking to Celsius about this for several weeks.
At this moment Celsius does not offer CSV exports or a read-only API, but they are working on both.
However, they told us that users can contact their Support Desk and their devs will create a CSV.
Unfortunately we don't know what the CSV format is like. But you should be able to import it via the Custom Exchange import.
As soon they provide a real export function, we will integrate Celsius.

Dear CoinTracking User. We would like to inform you about the following changes / improvements:

- Bitpanda API import
- ACX CSV import
- Adjustment to the TradeOgre CSV format
- Adjustment to the Abra CSV format
- Optimization of the HitBTC API
- Optimization for Coinbase Instant Exchange Transactions, as well as for deposits by credit card or bank transfer to Coinbase

- Further exchanges were added to the "Live Balance Check" (e.g. Kraken and Binance US/Jersey)
- The ETH Wallet import now also supports internal transactions

- ACB tax reports can now also be downloaded as CSV (applies only to new created ACB reports)

- All charts can now be opened in fullscreen mode
- All tables now save the number of entries per page as well as the selected sort order. These settings are used individually for all tables.

A "Manually balance" occurs when there is no exchange name assigned to a transaction. You can easily identify the transactions where the exchange name is missing if you sort your transaction list by exchange on the "Enter Coins" page. If you enter the corresponding exchange name to the transactions the "manually balance" section will disappear on the e.g. Balance by exchange report.

I also have question about report "Balance By Exchange".  I'm trying to fix all the data import problems (so many wallets and exchanges are difficult or incomplete APIs or exports!)  to prepare my taxes by 10/15.

BalanceByExchange report is recco'ed to be used to compare to actual online exchange assets, to ID shortcomings in data import/API.

First few iterations I got just exchanges be section of the report. NOW I get a new section called "Manually Balance"  which has about 25 line items most notably negative BTC (large number of), negative ETH, negative negative XRP, negative BCH, and a bunch of tokens with positive values of USD cents (perhaps fees missing or dust left behind somewhere?)

How do I understand and use this report's Manually Balance section?  need to get my records straight soon for extended U.S. tax deadline Oct .15.

TIA

That live api view was helpful for other exchanges however it doesn't look like Kucoin is supported:

Actually there is a new and quite good way to check KuCoin live balances via the API.
We will add it into CoinTracking's live balance page this or next week.

Yes, we do not support that at the moment. We will check if the KuCoin API does allow API live view option as well.
Currently you need to login to your KuCoin account and check the "live view" of your balances there and compare it with the imported transactions.

That live api view was helpful for other exchanges however it doesn't look like Kucoin is supported:

Supported exchanges: Binance, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Bittrex, Coinbase, Cryptopia, Gatecoin, Coinbase Pro, Kraken, Liqui, Poloniex, TheRockTrading, Tidex, Yobit, CoinSpot, Bitcoin.co.id, Bleutrade, Livecoin
Results are cached for 60 seconds. This is a non-cached result (live data).

You are are welcome.
You can check the API Live View page (https://cointracking.info/import/balance/) and compare it with the balance by exchange report (https://cointracking.info/balance_by_exchange.php). If the result is the same everything is fine.
If not you could delete all Kucoin transactions on the Enter Coins page via bulk edit/delete button and click on the "check now" button on your Kucoin API import job afterwards to see if the possible double entries will be imported again.
I suggest to check your account individually. Please send us a support ticket or an E-Mail to [email protected] with your CoinTracking username (login).

Thank you.  I also have what appear to be many duplicate trades imported from the Kucoin API.   On https://cointracking.info/enter_coins.php they have the exact same info: coin, price, fee, exchange, timestamp.  I have many of these however the duplicate transactions report shows nothing.  (Unless it's very common to have orders be executed broken up into small trades that are exact same size and occur in the same second, but I don't think that's what's happening).

Is this a known issue and why does the duplicate report not catch these?

You need to look up the true ticker of the coin in CoinTracking at the Coin Trends page (https://cointracking.info/coin_trends.php) and use that ticker. If it is not listed there you need to invent a name that works without special characters and treat is as an unlisted asset as described in this article: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000007203-entering-ico-coins-and-non-listed-assets/en

A token imported via an automatic import from an ethereum address contains a period in the name but it was successfully imported into cointracking.  However, attempting to edit any part of the transaction gives an error "Please use only A-Z, 0-9, - or _ for Currencies".  How to handle this?

Yes, please upgrade the API to the latest version provided by Coinbase. Then you can click "check now" within your CoinTracking account and check if the latest Coinbase data will be imported there. If not please create a new API key & secret within your Coinbase account and create a new API job within your CoinTracking account. Afterwards please delete the old API job. The (new) API job will import the missing data only (incremental).
This article is helpful regarding API job creation and deletion: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000031154-create-and-delete-api-import-job/en

In Coinbase, under https://www.coinbase.com/settings/api it shows an API Version and next to it an "Upgrade" button.  I want to press this button.  Can I do it without messing up Cointracking?

Sorry if this has been asked before. What is normally done if some of the exchanges you traded on no longer exist? All I have are emails with withdrawals from a few exchanges? How do you approach this scenario?   Tongue
Hi justmyname,

Did you record the trade history anywhere else? Is the operator of the Exchange still reachable by email?
You can only enter what you know. If the data is missing, you have to do without it.

Thanks for the response. I have no records. The exchanges closed down before I got around to recording the trades. They haven't respond when I have tried to reach them.

I didn't do much trading. Just buy and hold. If I would have known the way they were going to tax this I would have just bought Bitcoin only. But I didn't know because no dependable information was available as usual.  All the alternative coins have went down in value from what I payed for them with the exception of Lite Coin. So far (according to what I understand from CoinTracking)  I only owe them $500 dollars in 2014 and when I liquidate  (or write off) that coin they will owe me much more than $500. I don't know about the rest of the coins though.

Looks like it's time to get a CPA and come up with a strategy.

Can you please try it again @Zirillian
Are you sure, you've set up an email address in your account? Otherwise the PW reset function will not work.
In this case, please send us a ticket and we will fix that for you.
Thx
