The price of Steem has been incorrect in cointracking for weeks now, maybe because of weird prices on Korean exchanges and some others. As of today the cointracking price is 30% higher than the real price, 27k sats instead of 21k which is what coinmarketcap.com correctly shows.

It's messing up my portfolio value and will have serious consequences on earnings and tax calculations, can you please fix the price? Ideally you'd go back and check when your price started diverging and fix the historical prices from that point.

Edit: I found the post where you explain where the prices are from, and the culprit is worldcoinindex which is counting bithumb price and volume which is pretty dumb. The other two sources agree, you may wanna consider removing worldcoinindex from your sources until they fix that. The kimchi premium must be messing up values for lots of coins, not just Steem, which will cost all your users money.

Why everything works but Balance by Day is still broken. I mean there is only data from 15-16 July on the chart. How to fix that?

EDIT: Already fixed, thank you CoinTracking team Smiley

I have heard many positive reviews about the application from FinTab, please share a link to their website.
I see that the project FinTab is gaining in popularity, that's good, because a mobile application which helps to quickly and efficiently create a portfolio will always use the demand. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2193271.new#new

Is there anyway to realize losses before realizing gains in my reporting in order to decrease the amount of tax I have to pay?

FinTab is a fairly new project, but it is already evident that they are working on it. The mobile application is already fully functional. I use FinTab in free mode, but I'm thinking about switching to paid mode.
Free mode, it's more for reference, not for work. I have already paid a subscription for a month and work with the mobile application FinTab

The Bittrex API does not currently provide any withdrawals. We are already investigating this problem.

Hi,

I have some Ethereum erc20 ICO tokens that have not been added to Cointracking. Is it possible to add the following?

1.) Sapien (SPN) - https://etherscan.io/token/0x20f7a3ddf244dc9299975b4da1c39f8d5d75f05a
2.) X-Trade (XTRD) - https://etherscan.io/token/0x9c794f933b4dd8b49031a79b0f924d68bef43992
3.) BlockEx (DAXT) - https://etherscan.io/token/0x61725f3db4004afe014745b21dab1e1677cc328b

These tokens are currently available on DEX exchanges like IDEX: https://idex.market

Thanks,
Our Coins and Assets are sourced from: coinmarketcap.com, worldcoinindex.com and cryptocoincharts.info. As soon as they are listed there, they are also available in CoinTracking.

What can you guys say about the FinTab project ? The platform looks very promising, but I would like to hear the opinions of experienced traders.

I'm trying to do a tax report with tons of trades, it's mainly working but have about 100 trades that don't have a corresponding purchase. This is obviously because I deposited a coin directly onto the exchange, say after receiving them in an ICO or in an OTC trade or whatever.

My questions are:

1) how do i actually locate the problem trades. I've looked through the trade list and nothing jumps out?
2) once i locate them, how do i assign them with a purchase price?

This is only affecting a small % of the trades but it makes the overall report useless. I'm sure it's a common problem but I so far haven't been able to figure out how to fix it.

Any tips?

One other question: it is a corporation that owns these coins, and the year end is June 30. Is there anyway to do the tax report with custom end/start dates, as opposed to just '2017', '2018', etc?

Thanks!

So I got everything imported from the 3 exchanges I use. Bittrex, Kraken, Pol. The issue is that I am 5 BTC negative. I can't figure out why. Is Bittrex not importing my deposits and only importing my trades? Same for Poloniex? Kraken is the only one with the correct BTC balance. The rest are negative. Very confused here. Thanks.
Please make sure that everything has been imported. There is no general answer to this question. There can be several factors.

I am noticing a glitch with your bulk and API import functions. I tried a number of times to import an excel and csv file and the import indicators tell me that it was a successful import. Then when I go to dashboard, the trades recalculate (since I added new ones), but the import has no effect on the balance. In the case of this import, I added substantial amounts of DNotes to my wallet, and those additions are not registering. Then I can't find the transactions which should have imported into my account when I look for them on the "enter coins" tab.

I also have one other coin which through mining consistently produces more coins. The API appears to have imported yesterday and today's recent transactions, but they have no impact on the total amount of coins. It's the exact same both yesterday and today.

Bottom line is that right now the system tells me import was successful, but when I follow up on it, it turns out nothing actually was imported Something's buggy with your import system. Can you please fix it ASAP and let me know when you've done it? I have also put in a support request for this issue.

Thanks!

We should know exactly how you wanted to import the data.

Hi Guys,
I need some help, I margin traded on Poloniex in 2017 loaning\borrowing BTC to buy LTC,
I'm using CoinTracking to calculate my Tax Report and I want to dismiss all the rows of margin trading\settlements\borrowing that were generated by poloniex
with one single row showing the profit/loss as result of margin trading, but in cryptocurrencies and not FIAT, meaning how much LTC and BTC I have gained or lost as a result.
I tried following this article -
https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000018275-margin-trades-profit-determination

But I need to know:
1. How do I calculate my gain/loss in LTC and BTC?
2. What should I do with settlements?
3. What should I do with borrowings?

Thanks in advanced, any help will be highly appreciated.

Looks nice. Will give it a try after getting a lot of errors with Blockfolio.
How many coins does it have in total now?

Hi,

can someone tell me how to do a wallet import for ETC, please? Seems like I am to stupid to find it.

There is no ETC in the altcoin wallet dropdown, ETH is not working obviously but cointracking "knows" ETC in the Dashboard.

Thanks in advance

I am also looking for an answer to this.

Thanks.
We are using the best available Multi-Blockchain-API to import coins on the Altcoin Wallet Import page.
New coins are added on a weekly basis, but please note that we do not have any influence over the listed coins and we can not add specific coins on request into the Altcoin Wallet Import.
You can request that they add a certain coin by directly contacting them: chainz.cryptoid.info

Unfortunately we are not able to integrate Wallet imports for Cryptocurrencies ourselves, because we would need to implement the whole Blockchain and this is not possible for us.

For now, you can enter the transactions either manually on the "Enter Coins" page, with the "Excel Import", or with the "Custom Exchange Import". Both are very flexible and customizable and data can be uploaded in a bulk action.

There has been a recent upgrade to the KuCoin API interface. Here is a link:

https://news.kucoin.com/en/the-announcement-in-regards-to-upgrade-of-api-keys-2/

The KuCoin interface does not seem to be working any more.

I see a red message on my job that reads: " (Error: No access permission.) "

Is anyone else having this issue?
Our API developer is already working on it.

Can anyone explain to me how CoinTracking uses the fee information for the purposes of tax reporting. I have come to learn that the fee data added, either manually or via API, is informational having no impact on the ledger...but it is not clear to me if these fees are being used to adjust cost basis for tax reporting.
