@lcga: You need to rename your BQX to ETHOS to get the correct price source.
Is your IOStoken really registered as IOST or IOS?

I changed to to ETHOS and is working now. Binance still did not made the change to ETHOS, so next time I will update it manually.

I updated IOS to IOST also and it's working.

Thanks!

Also, when will Average Cost be available for tax reports?

@kwest1: We are in the process of implementing this. The feature will be implemented in about 3-4 weeks.

Im having an issue with the tax report for 2017.  I notice when I make significant changes to trades in 2017, that should change my net profit, after I run the report after having made changes, there is no change in the net profit.  Is there an issue here?  Or does the tax report get stuck in time and need to be reset somehow?

@Daled12: Please create a ticket via our HelpDesk by entering your username and describing the problem again. We'll take a look at it then.

For the coin Ethos (BQX) I'm getting wrong current value.
It shows 0.00014112 when in coin market cap is valued at 0.00028676, because of that I get a 50% loss.

Second issue is that for IOSToken (IOST) coin is imported correctly but the app will not show it, when I go to feedback page on the summary I have this information
Others:
1.00 IOS     =     0.00 $

Would you please let me know if I am correct for 1) and 2) ?

Thanks CoinTracking Dominik!

@happy9z:
1) Is the fee already included in the transfer amount?
2) If Binance displays the fee currency ICX, please enter it as well. You can also use the Binance CSV import. Then you don't have to worry about it.

Is there a way to specify any end date (for example which year to end on) for a view like https://cointracking.info/balance_by_exchange.php?

@afterfiat: Have you tried the filter on the site? This allows you to define a start and end date.

Hi,

I upgraded to a unlimited account but I have a couple of issues.

You do not have the ability to add NEO as a wallet but you do import NEO trades. This results in your application picking up the NEO/BTC Trade and the NEO wihdrawal but does not see that the NEO is still in the system. My Dashboard shows 0 Neo instead of my balance.

I did manually delete the NEO withdrawal from the trading table, but the API job that I have running to the exchange always re-adds the Withdrawal when the API job runs.

Is there another way around this?

Or can you please add NEO to your Wallet Importer (even the Altcoins section would be fine)?

@PostalEFM: We are using the best available Multi-Blockchain-API to import coins on the Altcoin Wallet Import page.
New coins are added on a weekly basis, but please note that we do not have any influence over the listed coins and we can not add specific coins on request into the Altcoin Wallet Import.

If you do not want the trades to be re-imported, you must leave them in the system, but set the values to 0.

Hi, first of all, really good app, I tested many and this is by far the best one. I would say that the layout should be brought to this century though :p

I'm having two issues

Thanks and keep the good work!

I'm been using CoinTracking for about a week so far and do a moderate amount of trading (~150 trades in Dec).  I've found this tool to be extremely useful, especially as I am dreading filling my taxes for 2017.  I see a number of people have or are considering upgrading their accounts to the unlimited or pro.  I highly recommend it, but it does cost a shiny satoshi.  Don't be like me and pay full price! ...Oops...I guess I can't post a affiliate link.  FYI, if you can find one you'll save 10 %.

I pay my taxes in SEK, but I trade using USD. How should I handle that in my account? The tax report differs enormously between choosing SEK or USD as my account currency.

Also, when will Average Cost be available for tax reports?

Bitcoin.tax is so much easier to use with SEK, and I ended up using it for the 2017 tax report. But Cointracking has so many more features that I WANT to use CT instead.. but all of these issues are preventing me from doing so.

It is the #9 crypto out there.... https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/

Regards,

PS, I found this in a previous comment from last year..... can you get this done please?

.......
.......

Also, ANS rebranded to NEO and it doesn't get updated anymore....You should Merge ANS with NEO

Thanks ,
Victor

No, I did it exactly as you said. The EOS pair is fine. It shows a loss of 66USD. But when i make an input for the monaco trade even according to your example i enter 138 USD as the investment. My point being in real terms I have just put in 200 USD innit. I get the accounting bit but is there a way to see what I'm asking. Also see my second post, it's related to the same thing i said earlier. Thanks a lot for all your help so far and replying so promptly. I'm loving cointracking and it's features. Just want to clear this confusion.

Second part of the question is that cointracking.info seems to be reporting the purchase date for the entire sale of 2 BTC to be the date of the first transfer and not the one of the sale, making the entire 2 BTC a long term capital gain. I believe this is incorrect.
Sorry. Can you be more specific? According to the FIFO method, the 1 BTC (bought two years ago) and then the 1 BTC short term is used up when selling the 2 BTC.

Never mind, I realized that I had a couple of transactions swapped (these international time stamps are tricky) and that it messed up my calculations. Cointracking.info is doing the correct thing! Wink

1)Then I sent the 2 ETH ≈ $1,685.02 that I bought from Coinbase to Binance on 12/19/17
Price per coin is $842.51
Fee is 0.00070980 ETH

2) Then on 12/19/17 I bought 165.20 ICX at 0.002685 on Binance, and the fee was 0.16520000 ICX. The total was 0.44356200 ETH

I post like this:

1) This is for Transfer from Coinbase to Binance on 12/19/18
Type and Date
Transaction Type: Transfer,
Transaction Date:  12/19/18

Transfer Amount
Amount: 2 ETH
Currency: ETH -> Ethereum [Coin]

Transaction Fee
Amount: 0.00070980
Currency: Currency: EETH -> Ethereum [Coin]

2)This is for I bought 165.20 ICX on Binance
Transaction Type: Trade (Exchange)
Transaction Date:  12/19/18

Buy
Amount: 165.20
Currency: ICX -> Icon [Coin]

Sell
Amount: 0.44356200
Currency: ETH -> Ethereum [Coin]

Trading Fee
Amount: 0.16520000
Currency: ICX -> Icon [Coin] I am not sure if this fee is in ICX or ETH. On Binance it shows like 0.16520000 ICX. Please let me know if I should put it in ICX or ETH?

Would you please let me know if I am correct for 1) and 2) ?

Thanks CoinTracking Dominik!

I wanted to report an issue.

I have been using the Yobit API and having you pull in data.

I know it's a 7 day max, BUT you seem to be missing recent trades.

It appears that you are skipping trades that happen all at the same time.  Like I do a sell of 50 and it gets split in 3 trades 30, 15, 5 all with the same timestamp.  You appear to only pull one of the trades.

That's a pretty big issue.  Can you correct?
Hi i8aPie. Thank you for your feedback. Can you please create a ticket via our HelpDesk in which you describe the error again exactly. Please add your CT username so we can check it out. Thank you.

12/19/18 I bought 2 ETH = $1,762.04 on Coinbase, Coinbase fee was $67.61
I recorded:
Transaction Type (Trade (exchange))
Transaction date : 12/19/17
Buy: 2
Currency: ETH

Sell:1762.04
Currency USD

Trading Fee
Amount: 67.61000000
Currency: USD

Is my above recording correct?

Hi happy9z. Your first method is correct. The fees should be included in the final price. You can enter the transfer between two exchanges directly as "Transfer". A Withdrawal from exchange A and a deposit to exchange B are automatically entered. Please include Withdrawal fees in the amounts again. You can also enter the trade on Binance as a trade like on Coinbase.

How do we handle Shapeshift.io transactions on CoinTracking?  I am showing a zero basis, because I acquired the coin via Shapeshift from my Coinbase ETH wallet!
Hi screasy. Please have a look at our FAQ article: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000018221-shapeshift

Multiple things:
...
4 - From Bittrex my BTG is off. It is a negative number. CSV trades show I sold more than what I had??? (I submitted support ticket with Bittrex already also.)
...

did you take into account any btg you received from the fork?

I am sure that is it and sounds like Bittrex said they don't include stuff given on forks in CSV ... so how do I enter this?

I always put my fork coins in as gifts and then set the tax report to 0 value gifts/mining should be sending all my details to the accountants in a few days so they should be sorting things from there
UK has weird laws on tax that i just can't understand we found out mined coins have 0 value until used in the UK but we're unsure on forks if he gets back to me and says it's wrong I'll post here but depending on your country tax laws will differ.

I'm pretty sure there's a page in the faq about this if you check
