@panjul - Yeah I know mate, there really does need to be some more technology brought into football. Referees can ruin games & cause teams heartbreak from poor decisions. I know we have goal line technology now but there should be some kind of 3rd eye brought in like in Rugby & Cricket.

Each manager gets maybe 2 calls to the eye in the sky (cameras) per game. It'd stop a lot of controversy & crap decisions by officials. I don't think FIFA & UEFA are interested in listening to any proposals for it though which is a shame.

One crappy decision from a referee or linesman can cost a team tens of millions if they get relegated or lose a final by that decision(s). We're in the 21st century, if the technology exists why not use it?
And in the end football dont need any referee again, just using camera or machine to rule the match. Or maybe the players are robot in future. Michael Platini have discussed it and stated that let football to be traditional game, no need expert technology in the match. Thats why UCL and UEL dont use goal line camera technology, and prefer to add 2 more assistants for referee in each goalpost.

I think soccer must be traditional in many aspects, robots and other stuff must not be allowed.

Entirely removing human referees is a bad idea, but I think using cams and replays to assist referee making decisions is good.
NBA and MLB has been using instant replays in some situations, and it should work in football as well.

Exactly, not to replace humans, but use tech to help on a instant judgment during the game is the way.

Mexico start very low in the competition, more help with inexistent penality, but yesterday have play really good game
Yes yesterday's game was one of best game in this tournament they play like champions and win without help of referee  Cheesy
A referee wont ruin final match and miss a chance to be the best referee instead of get much money by bribery. Thats why most of final matches is be more interesting than other stage matches.

Indeed they won the match comfortably, still I think it will be a question for sometime if they deserved to be there at all considering they advanced in both quarter-finals and semi-finals by penalties (3 penalties in 2 matches? although that can just mean other teams played too rough).

Two teams underdog get position 3rd and 2nd this unpredictable. talk about USA, only one player have good experience and skill is clint dempsey and he got top score this year in concacaf. I guess that's one problem in USA team

Dempsey is not a good player as well. Everyone in the USA team is not a very good player that is why they relly alot on dempsey because he is better. If you watch the USA match you can know that the other player is not very good with their passing skills and that is why dempsey is good in USA

scenario has been made mexico be the winner concacaf this year,im not sure if mexico win if they meet usa in final. congrats for mexico to be the winner concacaf
Im not sure about that, USA has disappointed me twice, lost with Jamaica and Panama. I think if this tournament really unfair, then USA should win this cup with its money and status as the host.

Jamaica v Mexico over 2.5 goals @ 2.9 because it's the final and people expect to have a good time with the game  Cool
Wendigo made it again. You are the best predictor so far lol  Cheesy  I think you should make your own thread as tipster, I will follow that  Grin

EDIT: Congrats Mexico for winning Gold Cup. Jamaica was not bad actually, both team are the best in Concacaf.

Congrats Wendigo, over 2.5 goals had great odds as the past few Gold Cup matches were under goals.
The bookmakers expect both sides to play defensively but they were wrong.

it seems so many people got huge profit from this by bet over 2.5 goals, i also made nice profit from this but i only bet over 2.5 goals for this match because i was quite sure about this and score will go over 2.5 into that match.

Wow congrats to Mexico for deserving Gold Cup for 10th times in their history, but this time there were too many controversy in this tournament especially when Mexico was playing. Jamaica has made amazing performance so far in both Copa America and Gold Cup. Hope it could go to World Cup 2018.

But must need some changes because its not ruining by referee's they are giving very poor decisions which costs too much to all players and punters

Agree with that too, but referees must have proper training.
