What you mentioned above is not really the reason why investors are losing hope, the main reason is the big manipulation in crypto last year, what can really boost investors confidence is when the crypto world start appreciating and we start seeing another all time hight
That's a long way to see a next all time high and I hope the economic situation around Bitcoin will be better then. I can't see a solution getting rid of scammers and idiots but we can also consider that such scammers don't affect the function of Bitcoin or crypto. People need to be educated, that's important and not fall for scams.

I have tried to ask myself this question many times: What can be done to restore and foster investors' confidence in cryptocurrency?
There have been several incidences, most especially as regards the issues of hack of exchanges and several other forms of stolen funds, which has in turn cause down trend at some points in the crypto space.
These incidences have made a lot of people to be at their wit ends, not knowing what to do.

If I should ask everyone what can be done to foster confidence, we will all have different things to say. Nonetheless, suggestions are welcome, but before that, I just feel that regulation is part of the main language that can restore.
Aside that, if exchanges have not started the process of insuring the funds on users on their platform, it will be good they start that.

If we are discussing about exchanges, then we should only trade on an exchange that can offer enhanced security, and easy to trade interface, and let those who are weak security like Cryptopia to die a natural death, it's a battle between exchanges right now, because there are so many of them.

Global regulation is one of the best ways to re-grow investor confidence in cryptocurrency. However, there are still many other factors that can restore investor confidence such as the occurrence of a healthy bullish trend, because with this trend investors will begin to enter the market to make a profit. We must remember that the real purpose of investors is to make a profit.

There was never investor's confidence in cryptocurrencies, just gambler's hope of getting rich overnight.
The few investors who were here in 2017 are still here today - but they'd rather invest in crypto startups than actual shitcoins.

In my opinion, the two most pressing issues in the cryptocurrency space are fraud and volatility. Most persons are of the opinion that cryptocurrency are only utilized by scammers and for illicit transactions. I believe governments regulation will go a long way in curbing the issue of scam and restoring some level of confidence in the industry.

More investors are still confident in the market despite of the losses. I don’t see any reason for panicking because the market is still on the right position. What we need to do right now is to educate people and tell them that there is no market that will pump continuously without dumping.

I have tried to ask myself this question many times: What can be done to restore and foster investors' confidence in cryptocurrency?
It seems like the regulation won't be too influential, they aren't stupid enough to not enter the same hole right? Today there seems to be no investor actually investing their funds for the long term project. They only look for short profits from bonuses or buybacks (Backup Funds (?))from team when the token listed on exchange (This is according to my experience in the past few months). So regulation Is a good step but not fully restore investor confidence,at least they can be a little optimistic.
Aside that, if exchanges have not started the process of insuring the funds on users on their platform, it will be good they start that.

For this one, the process is certainly very complicated and the insurance company will also be afraid. Even so, I also hope that there will be an exchange that provides the initial steps for this

people need to change to stop being scammed.
I agree to this, but now the fake project is getting smarter (Whitepaper, Website, etc.) It looks very convincing. So it's little bit hard to spot an fake ico.

Anyway maybe this can help educate us all, this fake project was launched by the SEC or theymos (?) To educate us to indicate that this is fake ICO.

Investor confidence does not end here because I observe that some percent of many investors who do not believe they are still watching market trips and waiting for developments to reach a very good point, they wait to return in a more appropriate time, they do not stop completely because they too still believe that this is something very profitable, so don't worry for now because everyone is ready to take part in the next pump that will come as soon as possible, so enjoy and see in the future.

It will not be possible to resist hacking events in the online world. This is a technology and it is always possible to create a more powerful system.
There are safer systems for investors to protect themselves. If safe systems are used safely, there are no big problems.

Even if we have regulations still there are scammers going to scam people so the people need to change to stop being scammed. And I don't think these hacks of exchange played major role in the price decline because it is nothing new to the crypto field we are seeing the exchanges got hacked for long time.

The year may be difficult to restore investor confidence because there is no security for the ICO and is often carried away by the team, but I do not know whether in the future anyone can overcome the fraudulent ICO.

I think the security of funds should start from ICOs because that is where most scam incidents in the crypto space takes place. Because when ICO turns out to be scam, many people lose their monies but when someone's account on exchanges gets hacked, only the person suffers

Adoption is on going I bet ,this year alone has proven that and many bigger companies are venturing in crypto which is good all around
The only problem that's giving cryptocurrency bad feelings is 'SCAM ' the scam rate is very alarming ,if there will ever be a solution to fix this I'm sure it will be hell of a ride to the moon ,TRUST is still missing ,big time , even exchanges are still vulnerable to attacks

Cryptocurrency investment confidence can be full restored when there's full adoption and regulation of ICOs which are a tool to perpetrate incessant fraud in the industry
