I saw the https://t.me/oneminute_crypto_news that it follows the trends of twitter in cryptocurrency market. The attitude of twitter seems like they have not made their mind yet.

‘The world ultimately will have a single currency, the internet will have a single currency. I personally believe that it will be bitcoin’  Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter spoke to the Times of London.

But we still remember the report said the twitter will ban the cryptocurrency ad.

Will this affect the ad services of coindesk or others?

If I am going to read between the lines Twitter will ban all cryptocurrency except for bitcoin.  Bitcoin has been there for too long and it has proved itself to be legit. Thus it will be bitcoin that will remain online and thus it is time to save more bitcoin since if what they said is true then bitcoin could go to Pluto when that time happens.

I think you make a great point which is as the as one of the most influential people in China. His name is Chandler Guo who also received the interviews from BBC and Bloomberg.

What's there to be confused.

In ten years we will have only ONE currency, BTC , so why run ads for an ICO when those shitcoins won't be around in a decade?

It could be they are banning ICOs Ads only and not bitcoins. Maybe they will end up banning Ads of altcoins but still let bitcoin remain but until then we can only speculate.

This is a clear example that crypto adds and bitcoin are not really related, and those news saying that bitcoin price is decreasing because of this are simply wrong. It was the same thing with Facebook, and google. You just need to ask yourself, how does these bans affect bitcoin? They are banning crypto adds, and bitcoin does not advertising, only altcoins and ICOs need that. So in the end this is not a valid reason for bitcoin price to go down, simply because it doesn't affect BTC in any way. But users read in some news site that the price is going down because of this ban, and they think it's real... People should really think for themselves for a change.

He is talking about Bitcoin, maybe they intend to ban other cryptocurrencies because of scam projects.
Such projects can harm the reputation of their company and they should ban them to protect their users.
Maybe the decisions of countries from the G20 summit changed their opinion about cryptocurrencies and they decided to change their strategies.
I even wonder if the news about twitter banning cryptos is real and not just a fake rumor.

This,

Bitcoin doesn't need advertising. Most adverts are for scam ICOs, or they are for phishing sites.

Here we are talking about the advertisements that pop-up while surfing through these social media apps and making the trader who is new think that the particular project in the advertisement is a legit one and forcing him to invest that project just because of his own assumption due to the advertisement he saw on the social media.
To prevent more money loss of such common people, these social media apps have taken the decision to stop more loss of people. But it is okay to write about cryptocurrencies on the social media so that won't affect projects and bounties much.
Will only one crypto run in the end, ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

Where is my ring of blades...
Its not confusing if you read the headline, "ONE" single currency then that means only bitcoin will govern and will ban other cryptocurrencies ads. Most of them are scams and it just keep popping everyday without any regulation to control it, printing money from the thin air is the definiton more likely to be attached into ICOs  Grin Grin

unfortunately that is true and WE need to do something about it and do it quickly if you ask me!
all these ICOs and all these people who are taking advantage of the not-regulated state of this market to scam people need to be pushed out of the market by us, because there is nobody else doing it in a decentralized free market. the first thing to do is to stop investing in these ICOs so that they see that making money for them is no longer an option and then we also have to educate newcomers not to fall for their schemes and advertisement. eventually we can hope to get all of them out and then as a result we can stop seeing these silly kind of bans happening.

This mostly seems to be media hype

Has twitter officially confirmed that it is going to ban cryptocurrency ads and if so when will this occur?

It makes logical sense that one single currency will govern all financial transactions across the globe in future.. I truly agree by that statement

Everything is money driven in this world. Financial services make huge money while ads cost the same for all businesses. Facebook and Twitter greediness in my opinion.

That report saying Twitter is going to ban crypto ads is not yet confirmed. And the co-founder speaking in favor of bitcoins is a confirmation that is is not going to happen.

Even if twitter bans Crypto ads, it doesn’t mean it is imposing ban on crypto. Problem is with the ads, coz many ads are full of scams. Jack Dorsey’s statement will help people gain trust on crypto.

Twitter is a listed company so it really doesn't matter what the CEO thinks of bitcoin. If the stakeholders want to ban cryptocurrency advertising, twitter will have to do it. But having said that, twitter is just planning not to serve cryptocurrency related advertising in their platform. But they are not going to ban or restrict cryptocurrency related accounts.

So a shift in advertising strategy will have to be implemented. The crypto related companies will have to move from platform based advertising to community based advertising. That is ideally a good thing because the community will then have the power to reject scammy projects and accept genuine projects.

With what they are saying, it seems that they are going to ban the ICO  and ads of some cryptocoins whiles they allow a single one to advertise on twitter but i believe that it gives an unfair advantage for the coin that the CEO says that it is going to govern.

every single ban that has taken place so far, whether it is for ads or just banning cryptocurrencies has been because of all the scams that has been happening. all these scam altcoins, scam ICOs which are illegally raising funds to do nothing and run away with them. like always there are some people who will ruin everything for everyone else.
but that doesn't mean people will stop believing in bitcoin just because of some scam ICO. in fact they will instead invest more in bitcoin because the money they were wasting on ICOs will now be invested in bitcoin.

Yes. I agreed what you said. But the thing will be where the trust of bitcoin comes from? I know we need to skeptical on the alcoins. But how and why we trust bitcoin?
