Seeing some netizen opinions on social media that the current Brazil squad is the worst generation in the last 10 years because they have not been able to make champions, although many great players in it are still difficult for Brazil to win easily even always overwhelmed.

The low rating of the Brazilian players indicates that the players played poorly even though there were several opportunities that existed.
After Nandez's red card, Brazil did have the opportunity to press but with the time available it was not able to which had to end in a penalty shootout, maybe if there was extra time the scenario would be different and Brazil could have won only after the game ended directly on penalties and there lost luck.

With the performance like these things are never been ideal for the Brazil because they are already going from bad to worse, and they are having some strong strategy and technique for having improved results which are brought them back into top competition we have red card for the Uruguay player in 74th minute which give good advantage to Brazil for having their path to win, but their attack completely fails to take advantage and having goal without any doubt this is going to be huge concern for them to have changes and try to work for better results before it's gone too late.

Now we have four teams for the semifinals with Argentina are going to face Canada and Columbia which thrash Paraguay going to face Uruguay with this match is going to be had some good stuff for the fans because both are level in quality and performance.

Since the start of the Copa America, I've missed a lot of things and that's why I rarely join in to discuss this thread.  but I am interested in discussing the semi-final match, especially for Argentina. Talking about Argentina vs Canada, we can confirm that Argentina's chances are much higher than the opposing team. Moreover, Canada was defeated in the group stage match with a score of 2-0. Likewise, if we refer to the temporary odds for these two teams, Argentina has low odds. while Canada's odds are quite high. Theoretically, Argentina should be able to qualify for the next round.

However, if we want to see a fairly competitive match, the other semi-final match is Uruguay vs Colombia.
Honestly, I haven't tried to research it and analyze it further. However, if you refer to the statistics of these two teams, both teams played good matches throughout their matches in the Copa America. especially when referring to the odds available, for the time being there are no significant differences provided by the betting exchange. Uniquely, in the last two meetings between these two teams, the match ended in a draw. Well, it is possible that in the semi-final match the fight will continue until a penalty shootout. because for now, I doubt if this match will produce many goals scored by these two teams. To say the truth, both teams, Brazil and Uruguay aren't top tier ones. The match yesterday was terrible! An Uruguayan player blatantly orientated the ball with his right hand, another almost broke the ankle of a Brazilian player and was expelled, and a third one bumped into Endrick for nothing while the game was stopped. A very shady squad which didn't deserve to win in my opinon. But even with the advantage for Brazil, with +1 player in field after the Uruguay lost Nandéz, they didn't manage to do any further progress.

In the end, the Brazilian player who missed the penalty did the hardest thing: to hit the goalpost.

I never imagined that the Brazil team would perform so poorly, because they had so many opportunities but failed to capitalize on them. Tribaker was where they failed too, my question is why did Brazil team fail after so many opportunities. In the past, the Brazilian team was the most aggressive and strong, but why did they perform so poorly in this Copa America?

I agree, now things are already gone on wrong way for the Brazilian soccer because we have too much internal influence which is working around and this is also one of the corrupt sports organization which is having serious problems and political influence as well which is killing the game spirit and quality with now if they want to have changes then need to work on CBF first then we can expect better results in their soccer team otherwise things will be stayed on this level, or we will have decline in coming months as well.

I was reading on few sites now they have issues with few players must have from sponsors as well which is creating problems, and they are trying to have foreign coaches but it's also not working because working here has never been easy for any person which does not belong from this country things are not favourable if they want to bring improvements then surely they have to be started from the top, and then we can expect positive changes otherwise it's all is dream as Brazil is going to be rule again in soccer world.

Now the toughest of the two semi-final matches will be between Colombia and Uruguay. Because these two teams are often evenly matched, we cannot be sure which team will lose and which team will win until the end of the game. But the result between the Argentina and Canada teams is often enough to confirm Argentina's final. But the match between Colombia and Uruguay will remain unpredictable. We will have to wait till the end for these two teams to know the results.

When this competition started, I expected to see an Argentina vs. Brazil final; Brazil failing out is very disappointing.
Brazil has many options; the absence of Vinicius should not have affected the team if they were playing well. The coach may be fired.

Only Argentina is sure of a place in the final because Canada, who is supposed to play them, is no match for them. The results between Colombia and Uruguay are still very unpredictable. Just as Ecuador almost pulled a shocker against Argentina, Colombia can beat Uruguay to the finals to face Argentina.

I agree that it was a completely deserved win for Uruguay.    Brazil were horrible especially in the 2nd half. Their xG was like 0.08.    If Vinicius Jr wasn't suspended maybe Brazil would be more productive in attacking.



Anyway, now we have Argentina - Canada and Uruguay - Colombia matchups in the semi finals. I'm expecting Argentina and Uruguay to play against each other in the final to tell the truth. I like Argentina the most so far. However Uruguay can't be underestimated. Their performance so far has been impressive. I don't think it would end without extra time or even penalties in that case. But we will see, who knows maybe Colombia would surprise everyone.

What happened between Brazil and Uruguay further confirms the stances of many veteran players of Brazil that this present team is the weakest they've ever witnessed. Dorival Júnior has a lot to improve in the team. They didn't have the chance against Uruguay in my view and I will not rate the Uruguayan defence as low as you make it look, the defence is reasonably okay and this is obvious in that despite having about 20 minutes before the end of the full match (with initial extra time), Brazil was still unable to deliver. From what I saw, even if two players were removed from Uruguayan's team, the same outcome may still happen, so what do we call that? Going forward, I congratulate the Uruguayan team to have reached the semi-final, we should leave the past behind us and look forward to their match against Colombia.

Colombia is a better contender than Brazil and beat Panama 5-0 to reach the semi-final. And their 27 games unbeaten can't be taken lightly as well, let's see how their feat/luck will play out on Thursday.

Uruguay defeated Brazil in the semi-finals of the Copa America, Brazil team did not play very well in today's match due to which they lost on penalties. However, the teams that entered the semi-finals performed really well which qualified them for this round. The teams that will face each other in the semi-finals, Argentina vs Canada, and Uruguay vs Colombia will be more competitive matches. As a strong team we can see Argentina on the winning list and they will be more than qualified to enter the finals. On the other hand, this game between Uruguay and Colombia will be a very tight battle between the two teams but it is hard to say who will win here. However, every team will perform exceptionally well to play the final match and they will work hard to become Copa America champions.

And what Ronaldinho said is true the Brazil squad has different qualities, but for me regardless of Brazil current performance, it is indeed a process of regeneration. It's not easy to build a team back to its glory days when almost all the players are stars but have difficulty finding the right match to be able to show impressive play like their seniors. Both teams played well and we saw fight in this match.  The match was decided on penalties and at the end the score was 3-4 and Canada football team won the match at the end. AT&T Stadium was lucky for Canadian team and we saw good performance from Canadian team. Shaffelburg did first goal of the match and he made match interesting for the  audience and audience liked that kind of match. Canada team could win this match by selecting defensive mode but they could not do that . Rondón is the second player who played important role to make match interesting and he tried his best to do the goal for team and he became successful to do goal but team could not win this match and match went to penalties and Venezuela team lack in penalty skills.

Brazil was unable to take advantage of the opportunity to win in this match when they had a superior number of players, it is very annoying to see Brazil performance like this, the players selected for the Copa America this time were unable to protect Brazil big name. Brazil's defeat to Uruguay was well deserved because they were unable to take advantage of the opportunity when Nahitan Nandez was sent off. Uruguay versus Columbia match will be a very tough game because Columbia have also shown good signs of professionalism in their play and of which they gonna give Uruguay a tough game but I still vehemently believe that Uruguay will win Columbia and reach the finals alongside their rivals in the Competition Argentina who will also be playing against Canada but their game looks obvious that Argentina will emerge as the winners in that match however, I'm seeing Argentina and Uruguay making it to the finals.

Well that's undeniable because even with 10 players Uruguay and Brazil were not able to make the difference that made them qualify for the semi-finals and they even had to swallow the bitter pill with their failure to advance to the next round after Militao and Douglas Luiz failed in the penalty shootout.

Brazil excelled in numbers but not in their playmaking as in the end it was not known whether it was Uruguay's solid defense or Brazil's utter weakness in their attack that made them fail in this phase.

I honestly expected something more in this match because both teams are clearly big teams in Copa America, it's just that the myriad of talented players that Brazil currently has is not accompanied by the performance of the coach who seems mediocre even below the standard for the size of a large national team.
With this result we will see a pretty interesting semi-final where Argentina meets Canada and Uruguay who will face Colombia.
This will be interesting especially considering Colombia's current form I think this will be a decent semi-final.

An unpleasant thing happened to Brazil, they were forced to lose on penalties. From the first half until the end of the second half, neither team was able to score a goal, as did the extra time. In the penalty shootout round, Valverde started the execution and managed to score a 1-0 goal, then Militao failed to execute the penalty because Rochet could predict it, then Bentancur gave a targeted shot resulting in a 2-0 goal for Uruguay, then Pereira managed to score Brazil 2-1, then Giorgian de Arracesta managed to beat Alisson and make Uruguay widen the score 3-1, then Gimenez failed to beat Alison so the score remained at 3-1, then Martinelli managed to score a goal for Brazil 3-2, then Ugarte managed to ensure Uruguay won with his shot which resulted in a score of 4-2, and this made Uruguay win and make it to the semifinals.

Next, Uruguay will meet Colombia in the semifinals, hopefully this will be an interesting match to watch.

I have constantly been saying that the Brazilian national team is not doing well and will not be doing well until they start to change certain things such as:

1 - hire foreign coaches who have great achievements in major European leagues and have great achievements in major national teams

2 - give 100% power to the foreign coach so he can choose all the players for the national team

If Brazil's football management does this, then we will see Brazil strong again, an example of what I'm talking about can be seen in this photo:

In my opinion, these players would not do this to a Real Madrid coach, the top management of Brazilian football would not use schemes in choosing players if the national team's coach was a highly successful foreigner. Brazil has many good players, but the maximum direction of football is the main problem
