No effect whatsoever, the price is still base on simply economic law of supply and demand. And regardless of any happenings around us, the price is not going to be impacted by this.

Let's put thing into perspective, what is the main reason the price is going to be affected??? None. So let put this discussion into rest, because as crypto investors, we don't think that that it will have significant impact positive or negative.

The corona virus has been attacked in many countries. Many People have died and many more people have been attacked this virus. so do you think situation with corona virus will impact the price of Bitcoin.

I really don't understand why people are going to correlate every single geo-political events to bitcoin. And now this? I mean how can it impact the price? People will suddenly jump and invest their wealth because they are afraid of the epidemic? Yes, I understand that this is going to be a global problem, but I don't think that the price will be affected. Just sad that many people has already died and wish that no one from this community will be a victim.

Why does it affect the price of Bitcoin? Why does everyone think news in this world will affect the cryptocurrency market? It's a completely wrong thought, this market is only affected by economic-related news. The Corona virus will not affect this market, it will only cause many people to get sick and the chaotic social situation. Btw this is a serious epidemic, I hope that we will be able to stop it soon. I do not want people to get sick and die, it looks terrible

Too much.
Yes, for me that is just too much to define the market of bitcoin.
Why? What is the reason behind it?

There is a virus, an economy of one country is the one which will be affected and not bitcoin.
Actually it will be better. People will stay at home and then maybe will bump into reading about bitcoin.  Grin

Everytime there's a crisis, people like to connect it with the pump of bitcoin, lol.

Corona virus will impact China but I don't think it will impact bitcoin because this country is not even pro crypto or pro bitcoin.

Seriously op? even virus, you thought could affect the btc price. LOL. Let's say there's some situation or event that could really affect btc price but virus? in what way or how? Even once, I never thought or connect the virus into btc price. Also, it's not yet a global health emergency according to WHO.

You've remind me of something. One day, a contact of mine asked me a hilarious question "Taal Volcano is exploding, will Bitcoin's price explode too?".
No way, haha, that's so funny. They are linking or connecting every event or any situation in btc price even if it's obviously non-sense. What a creative mind they have but in a crazy way. I won't be surprised if one of this days they will also connect the snow in middle east. LMAO.

Again with connecting events to bitcoin?  Grin

Some people here are really something else.
I don't think that it can be connected to that? Give us some reason at least for us to make some good arguments against or to defend it,
Should every happening in the world should have an affect with bitcoin?

Because this virus has not been contained, everyone will be at home, and they won't be thinking about bitcoin at all.
Though for me economics and health got no strong relation to each other, in all fairness I can still see your point in there Grin. It's understandable if the minds of Chinese are now out of concentration dues to the epidemic scene. But you know what, there's also tendency for the opposite to happen! Their meantime "quarantine" set up might also serve an opportunity for them to just face the computer screen all day long and focus on the green and red candles Cheesy.

By the way, in the serious side, I really hope this virus will now be contained to stop spreading across countries because it's sad to see that we're starting this Year of the Rat starts with a plague Sad.

I don’t think so, why do people usually link movement of the price of bitcoin to any issues or conflicts? Bitcoin can be affected by many factors but that doesn’t mean that if something happens with the society it is link to bitcoin right away. Anyway, the price moves unpredictably even without these crisis or conflicts so stop associating bitcoin to any of it, it only confuses people more.

If that virus becomes more widespread, it will have a negative affect on the world economy as a whole. I would guess that it would. E similar to the affect that a war would have. In that situation I think many people will shift some of their investments to gold, silver, and possibly cryptocurrencies.

The fact that people even ask this type of question just shows how many owners of Bitcoin lack the basic understanding of trading, which is kinda worrying, since it means they can easily be manipulated by media. Just learn how markets work in general , the same things that work for gold, currencies and other assets also apply to Bitcoin.

Once a man, twice a child!
would you please stop all the world events connecting to bitcoin price?why is it everything that happens in every part of the world has been putting into Bitcoin?Virus cannot affect Bitcoin movement because people will use Bitcoin even the effect will come wide.
The OP's statement isn't out of place at all. Anything that impacts the price of the US dollar also invariably affects the price of gold, and lately Bitcoin. This is because whenever the US dollar is doubtful investors tend to turn to gold/Swiss CHE/Japanese JPY/BTC as s safe Haven. So, I expect Bitcoin price to soar if this Corona epidemic continues unabated.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
so do you think situation with corona virus will impact the price of Bitcoin.
In what way it can affect price of bitcoin? Even it killed most people on wuhan or any part of china, price wont be affected since bitcoin is already banned there.

If and only if, it goes viral and infect most countries until there's no one will use the tech as it will die along its holdlers/users which I think is far to happen at this moment.

This is the kind of question we get when every time Bitcoin rises and falls significantly and seemingly out of nowhere it is directly associated with anything like the US-Iran tension, Hong Kong protest, and so on.

Bitcoin has the capacity to grow and its price increase with or without calamities, disasters, and violence.

I wonder if the possible zombie apocalypse would also affect the price of Bitcoin.

Damn it, I wish I could merit this many times. Every time some idiotic world event takes place we always get speculators on this forum wondering how it will affect the price of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not connected to any country's affairs.

It will affect over-the-counter bitcoin purchases in China. Remember China has no exchanges (because their govt declared them illegal), so all bitcoin purchases are done secretly in person, or by travelling to HongKong.

Because this virus has not been contained, everyone will be at home, and they won't be thinking about bitcoin at all.

What? No. It is not that a Chinese person can cough into their bitcoin wallet and other connected wallets in to that would be infected by the virus. Jokes aside, hope they could stop this new virus. They have a lot of stock of meat that could create new viruses, the fetish of Chinese cuisine is really exotic, I don't know if this is a punishment for them or not.

Well, I don't know if this corona virus will affect the price of bitcoin, but if it does have influence then I think of speculation that when the bitcoin barrier is affected by the disease, and need money, then they will sell their assets for their treatment. it might affect the price of bitcoin, but looking at this condition, it doesn't seem to have a big impact.

they say no people died yet  . i read many article before that the virus isnt deadly as what other virus we have before  but its still a virus anyway and its spreading  so we still need to be careful  .

this virus cant affect the price of btc because  people can still work and live normally , they just only need to wear mask regularly   . the only thing that it affect is the stocks of mask , but people could use thier btc to purchase mask online   . resulting for btc to go down

I don't think that the corona virus has a huge impact on the crypto market or the price of bitcoin because it won't have an effect when it comes to bitcoin adaptation. This kind of epidemia will only have an effect on the global economy when it comes to production of drugs, and death of many people.

don't always associate disaster with the existence of bitcoin or the future of bitcoin. After all this is still a local disaster, and it seems they are focusing on finding a safe place to avoid the corona virus, not to find alternatives about how to secure crypto assets. There are no economic disasters and no war disasters here.
