4. Avoid travel to the affected area, especially the Hubei province in China.
5. Continue to ourselves from other viruses, such as the flu, by getting vaccinated.

At this point they'll have to put the entire country under quarantine judging by the amount of people that traveled out of Wuhan and other affected areas during the holiday season.
What really frustrates me is my own country's refusal to ban all travel between here and China. Seriously, they'd rather risk public safety than piss of China.
Wuhan is under quaranteen with the surrounding area containing 50 million Chinese although there's only 6000 people infected.

Today I was at the post office when a staff was busy spraying the air with the disinfectant.
With so many customers in and out, I pity them having to deal with the smell this season.

It's coz this virus is "novel". Basically no one have resistance to it so it's possible for it to cut swathes of people unchecked, especially with its long incubation period where it can spread undetected.
There's no vaccine for it like what is released every flu season. If it hits you you better hope you get support to help your body fight it off, which could be hard once hospitals get overcrowded once everyone calls sick.

I don't know about the minimum temperature needed to kill this virus but I believe alcohol that's at least 70% should be enough to kill it. Just rub your hands vigorously to generate heat when cleaning. Helps to moisturize after since dry chapping skin would just open you for other stuff. Avoid touching you hands and nose with your hands as well and dispose used masks properly.

Honestly, as someone with somewhat of a medical background - the Coronavirus Outbreak isn't something anyone should be taken lightly. And there's someone who allowed an interview and said who's been living in Wuhan for a long time that there are no bats or exotic foods found there. Sometimes, the news themselves are discouraging to watch although you want to be updated with the situation.
Of course it's a serious issue. I m in no way denying the seriousness of this situation. My point is we have viruses in past years also and with time we were able to take control of them but news channels are making thing terrible for there audience.
I'm from south east asia country and it is a realuty that there is a panic in my society where everybody is afraid because of the coronavirus. If we will fully understand what it is then there is nothing to be afraid of because there are ways in order for us to prevent having this kind of virus but still it is not a simple issue and the government should focus on curing this kind of virus .
Lets hope for the best, though news channels are trying there best that this epidemics will destroy this whole world. News from news channels are horrible. I am sure on grounds things are not that worse.
