Hi everyone, I'm new to the platform and a new crypto-currency lover and passionate about blockchain technology. I have lots of ideas and questions about crypto currencies and my first one, could Bitcoin see its value increase as much as in 2017? Thank you

Just like guessing when Doomsday happened?
No one knows for sure but most people who are in this forum have a belief that bitcoin can do anything.

if you look at the history of bitcoin prices then you will find that bitcoin prices will skyrocket every 2 years. but this year proves that it will not happen continuously. so the conclusion is that bitcoin has a different cycle each year. and what you need to know is that price spikes will not happen anytime soon.

I don't think no one here can predict that. Year 2017 growth was enormous and funny thing was no one knows reason of that bull run. May be whales converted there crypto into dollars and are enjoying right now. While those who bought at that price are predicting that bitcoin will go to 50000$ and above.
We can say it can happen just like year 2017, but, possibly it may take time to increase the price. Actually many predicting about bitcoin could reach to $50k or higher but no one knows when it will happen. I think price by next year will gives a changes that could benefit the user.
2017 is the most beautiful memory for the cryptocurrency market where all coins have increased dramatically and especially bitcoin has become very popular so far, and everyone will definitely hope it happens again.
but I am optimistic that bitcoin will repeat the highest increase in 2017 or exceed and according to the predictions of all people with different predictions values and most importantly we must be patient and realize that bitcoin will be more profitable for long-term investment.

Just because the bull run happened after halving does not mean that it will happen again. The price can of course increase to $20k, maybe even $30k, but we can not be sure that the situation from 2017 will repeat itself. Of course, this would be an amazing event, like everytime new ATH, but it is better to be prepared for a long slowly price increase than waiting for skyrocketing that may never happen.

sure it can  . if that is in the people's mind then they will prepare in the form of buying more coins before halving occurr and at that point the value of the coin were already increasing   .  you said the price can touch 20 or 30 k again but you are not sure that the situation of the 2017 will occur  ?  the price of btc on 2017 is only capped at 18-19k but your prediction was way more  . like you i also prefer slow but sure price or stable price than a dream that nearly impossible to see  .

Yes. Everyone is waiting for that moment. If that happens, imagine the FOMO effect? Once Bitcoin reaches $20,000, maybe it can also easily pump to $25,000 or $30,000 in few days. I don't have the same number of Bitcoins like in 2017 but I am also slowly purchasing little by little when I have extra money.

Bitcoin can go over $30k in next couple years. That means we will see Bitcoin increasing like in 2017, most of us wait for
that rise. Like you I'm buying and earning when ever and how ever I can, stashing sat's is my main mission!
I can't imagine that FOMO effect, people who miss their chance will probably regret their decision. We will not be able to
help them, people should rethink decisions they are having now, to not get in situation to regret in the future.

yes of course can, but when ? when  halving comes, seen the history of bitcoin halving  each four years, while in 2013 then 2017 and the next? maybe in 2021 bitcoin  price will increase high price  and more than happen in 2017, so buy bitcoin  and saving from now to take the profit when bitcoin halving in the future... but remember its just one of prediction from hundred prediction

yes, of course, the potential is still there, even the next potential will emerge in 2020, so prepare yourself about this. if you are new to this, then you appear at the right time. for now, all you have to do is read what makes bitcoin prices go up in 2017, and compare them with 2020 to come. if you find information that reinforces the potential for pumping in 2020, then all you need to do is invest.

Bitcoin's price and the market is very volatile that no one could really predict when will the market will increase and decrease, and ever since bitcoin was down to almost $7000 a lot of people has doubts that bitcoin could not increase it's price to $20 K before the end of the year of 2019. But a lot of people are still hoping that they believe bitcoin will still reach it's price to $20 K in the near future.

The chances of increases are not that high because of any issues surrounded, but for sure there is still a way that bitcoin's price will lifted up again as like in 2017 bull run. although it is hard to aim that high amount again but for sure that this situation will just pass by and all will back again to invest.. we are hoping this to happen next year, lets see.

I know it's Christmas time amd everyone gets a bit emotional, everything seems possible but don't that feeling makes you beleive that 2017 scenario will repeat for Bitcoin. I'm not trying to say that is never going to happen again but current situation in the market isn't looking that optimistic. Also, many are expecting high price rise after halving thinking that might be trigger for another bull run but I think it's better to keep expectations on a moderate level.
That way the situation will likely get worse with emotions that continue to peak so there is no longer a good control so that the big dump because of more large-scale sales. So it can be said hope with a big increase for now and until early next year I think it is still difficult to happen, and in the end we will only continue to wait because of expectations about the crypto season itself.

Believers of BTC like we are always believe BTC can be worth thousands of USD like Mcafees speculation. Halving is a factor that may really pull the price up to more than $10K which is why this is a good opportunity to bet.

But  some believe it will be stable one day or could go below $3k again, all these are speculations which can frustrate you when you are hoping for big profits.

In this particular year, 2019 BTC has done pretty well. BTC kept continuing its downward movement after it reached the all-time high in 2017, so only the year 2018 is bad for the bitcoin. At that time BTC got the attention from the GOVs. China declared it illegal, India stopped its people to buy it from banks account, Google, Fb, Twitter stopped all ads related to crypto, China again banned ICO, Child pornography found in the bitcoin encryption.  BItcoin has shown how strong( while all altcoins keep decreasing) it is despite those kinds of all over attack on it, it rises again. SO there is good chance that it get back to the ATH in the upcoming years.

Well, Many speculations suggest that bitcoin will rise again due to bitcoin halving but I disagree that bitcoin's price will increase again to 20,000 $.
Because many investors have learned from their past mistakes that they continue to hold bitcoin, and others continue to buy bitcoin even when it is on the pick.
There's always a good run when halving take place, we can't assure how high bitcoin can go but the chance of reaching the last pick is possible.
Aside from that, there's also more exposures with blockchain system where crypto was been made so in case big business established their
system integrating to this new one interest with adopting crypto will be possible and bitcoin will be the first thing to acknowledge.

this is not very certain, but we all believe that prices will recover by 2020. somehow it will reach the same price in 2017, but the potential is enormous to have prices. the minimum price of bitcoin will reach $ 13,000 if the price recovers in 2020.
