$ 1 is hard for XRP in 2020. The Covid 19 pandemic is still under control and thousands of companies are on the verge of bankruptcy, investment demand is getting less and less so there is no reason why XRP will grow again. quick. Even for Bitcoin, the halving event will usually help its price to grow strongly but I think this year will be a loss year for miners. Bitcoin will need more time to grow and so will the alts.

I think that most people holding XRP will sell at $1 as that's what I am seeing from most people holding XRP but it most likely won't happen this year but maybe some time next year as that's when I think we'll see crypto really take off once the world starts moving again and the fear of inflation so people will look to spread their investment risks into crypto, well that's what I'm thinking and then we could see XRP at $1.

I'm thinking the same thing now as XRP is the only one that hasn't really done well this year so far compared to all the other top 100 cryptocurrencies and it may even start to drop down the list as other big movers like LINK are making their way up the list. I hold some XRP as a speculative position as we just never know what might happen once crypto takes off.

From the performance that it showed for the past months, I guess what you are asking will happen. Bitcoin has made well, Ethereum did well, other altcoins did well while for XRP, it didn't do anything.

Instead, the price gets lower and lower.

this year still leaves a lot of time. that moment did look far from the present situation. but no one ever knows when bitcoin will start the pump later. the market still looks good, and we will never know when the pump will occur. don't expect much on XRP, but I'm sure the situation will be better than now.

We still have a half year till 2021. Even when cryptocoins are at it's peak XRP price didn't pass $3, why would XRP even pass the $1?

We will wait and see what happen to XRP and all other altcoins.

It won't take much for XRP to reach $1, yes it has a long way to go but which other coins don't have a long way to go from their previous all time highs??? Almost every other coin/token is in the same boat so I can still see XRP reaching $1 in the future, the question is when. I'm willing to take the risk with XRP as its more of a speculation position for me.

Yes, I agree because of this effect not only in crypto market but also for crypto world. I think the effect in global market will remain until this year. Financial institution and other establishment might be colapse. I'm holding a few xrp in my portfolio right now. It's not possible for XRP to reach $1 but I think it will be hard to do it. Btc will also hype again if that's happen. It's violatility makes it rather to predict what would be the price of it in few-hours and even harder to give long-term prediction.

We need to be honest most people despite being in this market do not really care if a coin is centralized or not, they care only about one thing and that is their profits, as such XRP has the potential to go up in value again but how likely it is that XRP is going to grow 5x during the next 8 months when we are at the door of one of the biggest economic crises the world has ever seen? And the answer is not very likely, because even if people began to buy bitcoin as a store of value no one is going to buy XRP to perform that very same function and the hype for altcoins has gone down significantly since 2017.
