I don't think 1$ is possible for Ripple in this year. Ripple is stuck within 0.15 - 0.40$ zone for a long time! So, I think Ripply can make 0.50$ highest, 1$ seems not possible! After the bull run of 2017, Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB has a good history of recovery, but Ripple couldn't make 1$ where the peak price was 3.60$!
There is possibility to hit $1 this year 2020 but I think when the bull market comes, it's really hard for XRP to grow it's own price because many investors don't like to invest XRP they prefer to invest a decentralized coins. XRP is a good money transfer though.
I agree that investors are not very fond of investing in XRP, but if you look at the chart of this coin, you can see that it is periodically growing well. 
in the next bull run whenever that might the said price even bit higher prices can be achieved easily ..even though most of crypto enthusiasts don't like XRP because of its centralization But in term of price action i think it is very much possible. They have done fair share of charity and main-stream media advertisement and their partnerships with different banks all are good indicators.
Based on what is happening and the remaining months for recovery period, and you still need to consider the crypto fall that they are saying, I don't think it will happen, this is just my opinion as you know this coin is connected to banks and centralized so I don't think new players will be investing or holding the same thing as bank can do. If we are talking about new holders of this coin. But for traders or long timers, maybe quick buck but not worth for long term
The market may drop further for some time because people are now very scared when investing. However, based on my analysis, some coins like Ripple are very safe options for everyone. Of course, a lot of people will oppose this investment option and indeed Ripple has a huge supply that can put you at risk at any time.

But, if the COVID-19 is still able to hold the market and economic as it is now there's way XRP will reach the price predicted. But that is a good point because ripple already hit more than 3$ so if Hype happens again then there can be higher value than this 1$ speculation from OP

I am not an end of the year bull market believer as in 2018 and 2019 ending cryptocurrencies market completely failed. If xrp will get to $1 it is going to happen after the halving and I am speculating that June and July are two months we should watch as bitcoin may explode that time and other popular coins are going to follow if covid19 is go before then. XRP may indeed rise to $1 this year, but it will be extremely difficult for XRP to do so because the price is now almost $0.17 and this is still far from $1.

My target price is to sell my Ripple when the price touch $3 because its price is the all time high for ripple. The sentiment market for cryptocurrency is still good although we found a lot of crash a few day ago but it doesn't matter if I thought. The user will still look it as a temporary correction, as you can see right now most of cryptocurrency prices are increasing a gain which I have never look before, usually the bear market will come when the crash come and it will take a long time to see bull market come but in this situation I haven't found it.
That really seems so far away these days, does it not? I have a small amount of XRP but at 50 cents;) So of course $3 is going to be huge for me too,,, but I always knew this was speculative money to be expected that it will lose. Crypto sentiment will improve but I do not know if all altcoins will shoot up the way they did before.

As of now we do see some recovery or green candles atm which is good for those who bought on lower price.If XRP able to hit up that almost $4/xrp price
then theres no doubt that it can reach $1 anytime soon but it do need some catalyst for the market to go up.

If Ripple can reach at least 1`$ this year (though i am expecting much higher like 3$) i think i will be contented and will sell my holdings because i have been waiting for more than half year and yet nothing Good comes.
it is really hard to predict a Bull when a world wide crisis is there,though there are some positive news happening these days because the Virus is now being controlled by China and Korea so meaning there are good things coming our way here in crypto.

damn i will be the happiest person if that time comes imagine my investment will be x6 or more?yeah i believe this will come.
we are just 9 months from now to 2020 so the waiting is not that long because i afford to wait for year then why not another one when price will be crossing 1$.
