Hello everyone, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge in the thread and I hope there will be something I can take and learn from your experience. It doesn't seem like it will take long to see this thread reach three page.  Cheesy

I don't know much about gambling and I have never gambled other than just because my friends influenced me to bet on sports betting [not crypto betting]. I enjoy it but not addicted to it. But now I have the urge to try to do it with crypto and that's why I started this thread. But not anytime soon as I haven't gambled in a long time even if it's only $1. So now I just want to read one by one the responses from all your experiences. Without much further ado, I'll lock the thread to prevent spam.  Wink

OP, if you want to gamble safely on a gambling site then make sure you don't use a VPN instead. Using a VPN by default goes against the site's rule and is never a good thing to do in the long run even if the site hasn't detected your behavior yet.

If you get those restriction from the site then you should look for another reputable site to use without using a VPN. It's much safer than having to gamble with the rule of the site you're breaking. I don't use TOR to gamble because I only gamble on sites that don't restrict my country. There are many, but make sure the reputation.

Most of the gambling sites have restrictions over certain countries from registering there due to their licence and regulations but nit many gambling sites are still allowing the Tor or atleast the usage of VPN until the user is not using it to bypass any restrictions amd they just use it for privacy concerns. You can ask many gambling site owners or representatives of bitcointalk they let the people to access site via VPN but they will be monitored for any shady activities continuously.

Some of the people want to really urge to play with that particular platform and some of them makes a bypass their country restriction which is not good at the same time, some of the platforms have their Terms and condition like restriction of not using a VPN's that might give them some ban or restriction from the platform itself as long as the platform does not have any restrictions with the use of the VPN just to play is its more ideal to play. Of course for another layer of security every time you change a VPN the platform request a new verification which is more hassle to do.
If using a vpn or tor will give you more trouble then why use it on a certain site in the first place? Some people just want to have trouble, well, I don't have a problem with playing on an online casino as long as you just want to have some fun but if you want to play just to make some money or suddenly hit the jackpot then that would be a problem since you are illegal already in the first place. So, don't ever think something to bend their decision, just accept what their decision if they gave you the money then it's okay if not then move on.

I would rather wait a playable online casino with no restrictions instead of trying to gamble my luck because of eagerness to play. I think there are playable casinos out there that doesn't have any restrictions, you just have to choose it carefully.

I just want to know if using a vpn or tor is something that can violate the TOS even though a gambler has been betting on the site for a long time?
I guess if the purpose is clean then it might not affect your account, but if you are using vpn or TOR to hide your location because you want to bypass the restriction, then obviously it's wong and it's a violation.

If the site pays small wins, will they also pay big wins [if the site detect the user is using vpn or tor].
This should not be a question address in general as legit site does pay all winnings, regardless of the amount as long as gamblers are not cheating.

There are many gambling sites that restrict the participation of users from certain countries to become customers on their sites. Obviously this is something that every gambler in the world does not want especially for those who like to gamble online [crypto gambling].

I think those people who are in restricted countries are already used to being prohibited at a global gambling site because, in the first place, online gambling might also be restricted in their regions. Gambling is only limited by their local gambling providers.

One way to anticipate restrictions is to use a vpn or use the TOR browser. But in many TOS of gambling sites I found the site forbids users to use VPN although some customers so far have had no problem with the habit. I just want to know if using a vpn or tor is something that can violate the TOS even though a gambler has been betting on the site for a long time? If the site pays small wins, will they also pay big wins [if the site detect the user is using vpn or tor].

No matter how long the gambler is using the site and they are using VPN, as long as there are specific terms about restrictions of using VPN, they will be banned no matter what. Other users are careful at their activity when using VPN like for example, in case of withdrawals, big or not, they will do it by batches.

It's not that using VPN will violate right away the site's Terms of Service but of course, if it's prohibited on the site and clearly stated on their Terms of Service then the account will be banned once detected no matter how active that account is was gambling on that platform.

Most users don't read TOS that's why sometimes, everyone got surprises in the event their account was got banned. From now on, new users should look at the TOS regarding the use of VPN to avoid problems in the future.

Lots of gambling sites restrict the usage of VPNs for some reason. Some users could only abuse their promos and bonuses by creating multiple accounts using VPN which could only result in the site's losses. It's better to follow their TOS than to regret it later on. That's the reason why we're encouraged to read their TOS first upon signing up.
Multiple accounts would really need to require on having lots of IP's to be used for them not too be traced on on abusing website promotions and bonuses and this had been a common reason on most people do use of VPN or Tor for them to at least cover up their main address and take advantage of those bonuses and the rest do make use of  VPN
for the sake of accessing sites which they are prohibited due to country restriction. If there is some talks about prohibitions then its understandable that you are really risking your account because you had violated their TOS which is normal that you could possibly be blocked.

It's very simple to know if you violate the TOS, read the TOS, and if you don't follow the rules that means you have violated some of the rules that might lead to the closure of your funds. Gambling on a site for a long period of time does not excuse you, you have to understand the risk and it's better if you will just not force to gamble if it's prohibited in your country as you might only regret it later.

Some gambling sites do not react right away, but eventually, they'll see it and will close your account.

Using VPNs or even TOR for gambling sites is nothing new. However, I would say that TOR is much too slow, which can spoil the fun. Gambling providers usually prohibit users from accessing them for legal reasons. If you bypass this block, then such providers can easily find out, because the servers of the VPN providers are often known and therefore it is easy for the gambling provider to detect whether you use VPNs. Most of the time they do nothing at first. But if you then have a larger win, for example, then the payout can be denied quickly with the argumentation of the violation of the TOS. You then also have no legal means to sue for this profit.

It is true that the use of VPN is prohibited by gambling site because they can be used by people who want to trick site for personal gain. Beside being able to be used to get recurring bonuses through fake account, using a VPN also allow site users to have multiple account with their own referral. This will clearly violate the site rule where everything has been stated in the terms and conditions. I assume that if the site pays out small wins for those using VPN, then they should also pay out big wins. But if they don't want to pay then the two wins don't have to be paid either.

Every casino sites has T/C of course, logging on to a betting site what you do first is to check thier T/C and also some casinos have been frauded several times with VPN by accessing their general wallet and crediting thier individual wallets with cash then withdrawing the funds.
It promotes fraudulent a times to casinos that don't have good cyber securities

The restrictions of using VPN-s are in place because of people abusing the site with becoming referrals of themselves and getting the bonuses in an abusive way.

However having said that,I always use VPN when accessing Sportsbet.io website because my country is not allowed but I always use the same country and the same IP,so far no one has abused this IP and I play, deposit and withdraw normally there through VPN,so it all depends on what you want to do and of course your luck.It is always better to change to another casino which doesn't require from you to use a VPN and your country is not restricted.

Honestly, for that reason, I don't understand how it became an advantage for multiple accounts.

In most cases, bonuses need a required investment. For me, it's kind of super effort if the user will put deposits at those newly created accounts until they will get the bonuses. Looking at some gambling sites today, not worth the effort to abuse it.

But yes, maybe if there's a new site that has a unique promotion and is easy to achieve, that might work. But today, newly created gambling sites are having difficult getting an attention so it's also a risk for those who want to abuse the promotions that needed an investment.

Some crypto gambling websites allow users to use VPN but some others prohibit that. If you find that site prohibits VPN, you should move to the other recommended crypto gambling site and not try to register on that site because you will not know if your account will get banned by them if they know you use VPN.

We, as a user, have a free will to gamble on the crypto gambling site and we have many crypto gambling sites that have the rules that we want. We can choose by ourselves by researching every website we get and reading the review from here or another website.

It is better to avoid violating the TOS because it makes our account banned or blocked by the casino.

For me, using a VPN is not a solution to be able to play at the casino. I would prefer to use a casino that doesn't really need to use a VPN. Perhaps because many of the gamblers have paid attention to gamblers not to force gambling on sites that access them using a VPN. just because of the country where I live and insist on using a VPN then I will leave. Except when we are required to register at the casino to receive a certain reward from the tasks I do. So like it or not, I have to take advantage of it.

Honestly, even a gambling site allows the use of a VPN, some of its users still use VPN instead of their direct ISP connection. That's because there are lots of reasons why users prefer that way.

For what are those reasons, only them knows.

So let's put it this way if a gambling site is not allowing the use of a VPN or TOR network, obviously don't violate it. If they allowed it, then we are good to go.

Violating their TOS is a serious offense that could lead to either your account getting banned or restriction on withdrawal, meaning, your funds is at risk when you violates their TOS which you don't want to happen if you wanted to happily withdraw your profits on a certain gambling sites, but if you are just experimenting to know what's gonna happen, then I guess it's perfectly fine as long as you're just gonna deposit a very small amount of money.
