Will miners come together and roll back the blockchain? Craig Wright seems to think so, or is he spreading fud and lying again like usual?? i doubt that this will occur.
Man I’m seriously getting tired of seeing posts about this man every single time I come to this forum. This dude is always looking for ways to be trending and I just don’t know what’s wrong with him, isn’t his fake claims of being Satoshi Nakamoto already enough, why is he still saying things that doesn’t even make any sense. It would have been better for him if he stayed low and saved himself some shame, but no he wouldn’t, he still continued with his lies Sad.

He’s now starting to annoy me. I saw he news that he plans to file a lawsuit against Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash if they don’t stop using the Blockchain. Ridiculous.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
Is it possible getting back the lost BTC from Mt. Gox before? It is my first time hearing about rolling back the blockchain lol.

Craig Wright is just keeping up his mess and trying to provoke us with his wrongdoings

He knows he can't offer proof of his "identity", so instead he now offers false hope to those who lost funds in exchanges in an attempt to garner an audience.  Much like a corrupt politician making promises they know they'll never deliver on.  "Please listen to me, you'll get your money back".  It's just a desperate cry for attention from someone who has literally nothing to offer.

Self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator Craig Wright claims that Bitcoin can and will be seized to accommodate court orders.

Do you have a source? I would like to see it for myself.

This is what he apparently said, though I'm not positive where it was taken from. It looks like a Slack chat room.
Yeah, it's somehow in a Slack room and can anyone really verify if that's from Faketoshi itself? Well, even if it's from him this guy clearly doesn't show any truthfulness on what he says probably it's time to ignore him in hostility. He can't even get the BTC he said he had lost.

It's Faketoshi himself. They're calling it Metanet (https://metanet.icu/) and you even have to get a paid membership in order to listen to his delusional rambling. Sounds exactly like something Satoshi would do /s.

Craig is raising money. He's going to need a few millions to start paying Kleiman, or he'll need a few millions to make the case drag on for another few years.

Or he needs a few million for his exit scam. He must know that this lie of his is not going to last forever.

He has all the BSV users so under his thumb it's no joke, he could definitely get it to fork, it would hopefully be the beginning of the end for that shitcoin.

My guess is that he got Calvin to buy some 'cheese pizza' through a proxy and then will miraculously roll it back, but he allowed him to keep his purchase, then all of their zombies will coo together at how awesome their system is.

He meant his altcoin, nothing special here. I doubt exchange/service which accept his altcoin would agree with this idea or running full node client which enable this idea.

Yes. I don't understand why others are even bothering to consider that he's talking about Bitcoin rather than Craigycoin.

And in their case they absolutely would do it and they can do it. That's the beauty of having one miner and all nodes other than your own being driven out of the system.

I seriously doubt BSV has ever been used to buy anything, let alone anything illicit.

STOP SNITCHIN'
Lets see the courts in any county force world wide miners to do something. Yeah, that will work.....NOT.

This is especially true given how much hash power originates from China, which is usually cast as a bad thing. In this case, it guarantees that a court order like this is unenforceable.

He's also talking about rolling back losses from years ago, like the Mt. Gox hacks. A reorg that large is inconceivable. No miner would ever take the risk of mining that chain.

Is he talking about a hard fork that reverses specific transactions or steals outputs? That would make more sense, but it would obviously render his fork not Bitcoin and very few would follow. BCH and BSV are examples of what happens. He would just be creating another civil war among BSV supporters, further dividing them against one another.

Not exactly in line with the whitepaper, is it?
Yeah, no.  Not at all.

Now let's remember Satoshi's words from the cryptography mailing list:

Quote
I've been working on a new electronic cash system that's fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party.

<...>

A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would
allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without the burdens of going through a financial institution.
Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main
benefits are lost if a trusted party is still required
[...]

CSW is acting as that trusted third party that Satoshi fought hard to render it as irrelevant.

Listen to Satoshi's words and ignore any third party trying to take over Bitcoin. It won't happen. And it won't happen as it's technically impossible

Well, I called it Mr. Faketoshi should stop what he is doing with his self proclaiming acts. I don't really know what came to this guy's head to claim Bitcoin as his own and him being the great satoshi. I do not really see any reason for me to believe that he is the real one, --his personality and skills are way too far for an ideal satoshi. Perhaps Craig Wright must seek psychologists rather than the court. It would probably help him. Indeed, ignoring him will make sense on my own.

We're decentralized and as such the whole world will be involve in this court order lol
Not the whole world, but asking a court to order a 51% attack is equally funny.

I haven't read all this thread, as I find Craig Wrong fairly boring. However, I would be grateful if somebody could explain how he believes that  miners could seize Bitcoin on behalf of the courts. If they could do that, wouldn't they have claimed the £42 million of coins that the Irish drug dealer lost recently when his fishing rods were thrown away.

The worst I have heard from someone who called himself crypto expert. We're decentralized and as such the whole world will be involve in this court order lol, how possible will this be with Craig wright? This is the worst decision he will take to end his Bullshits in the industry, we're not dump to know that; Bitcoin is bigger than any individual or a particular country were your court order will come from. Although, with other crabs created by him will be possible because,  they are his Bullshits property BSV and BCH.

Just when you think that CW can't say anything dumber and that his followers can't be that stupid you see a post like this and just shake your head.
It's like just ignore reality and keep living in their bubble.

When the miner attempts to roll back the blockchain, the price would likely crash and the amount of Bitcoins and the ASICs that they have would instantly have zero value. It isn't easy for legal power to have such an effect on miners; I don't think laws could force miners to do things that they don't want to.

Craig isn't very smart at all and I doubt he considered the possibility of all the courts reaching the same decision unanimously in the first place.

Not exactly in line with the whitepaper, is it?
Yeah, no.  Not at all.

But this is just speculation on his part, and the courts would have to exercise enormous power in order to get miners to do what he's proposing--more power than they probably have.  Plus I'm not sure if miners in China would think they're bound by a US court order (if I'm understanding this correctly).  Miners sure as hell wouldn't do it voluntarily.

Plus I don't think the legal system would in effect destroy bitcoin in order to settle a single case.  They'd be doing more harm than good, and I have to think that they'd see that.  Anyway, I think this is a bunch of BS anyway and yes it's FUD in the extreme.  CW is very wacky to say the least.

Craig Wright was saying that he knows about critical bug in Bitcoin that will destroy it, along with other outlandish claims like how Bitcoin will be dumped, but we all know that nothing like that happened, and it's pretty clear that nothing will happen this time - he's just spreading FUD. And I doubt any western court would issue such judgement, they aren't interesting in dealing with cryptocurrency as practice shows, and they would understand that it can't be realistically enforced because of Bitcoin's global nature.

at this point the only reason why Craig Scammer Wright is continuing with his new bullshit is that people keep paying attention to his bullshit. example is this topic, there really isn't any reason why we should even be talking about this obvious scammer. same goes with news sites who keep on quoting his nonsense every week with new one.
