One of the dirtiest things in the world is money. Each bill has been handled by thousands of people. So, the government will state that money is spreading Covid. They will require you to turn in your $dollars. All the big stores will go along with them and not accept money any longer. Your money will be replaced by an electronic system... maybe a debit card, or maybe they will chip you, or maybe it'll simply be a barcode on your forehead or in your hand. Less chance for you to spread Covid. This is coming starting 2021.

Cool
Feel free to correct me but I think there's no studies yet proving that usage of cash do promote spreading of the virus . Please do enlighten me. But nowadays, cashless payments are more often being used as a medium through various services . Given that there are still people around the globe using cash to buy goods, still, it is not the keyplayer in the sudden rise of the cases regarding this pandemic, but hthe unconscious contact or interaction with other people.
I am not surprised by the use of digital money because this was used before the pandemic happened, but now many people begin to use digital money as the main choice if it is used as one of the payment methods in offline stores.
The use of digital money will be very difficult to implement in countries where internet connections are still very limited as well if the people are still very unfamiliar with smartphones, because digital currencies require it all.
Usage of digital currencies have been promoted before to raise convenience with regards to services and not because of such pandemic.

I haven't seen any studies. But everybody knows that money is some of the dirtiest stuff around. For years people have been advising each other to wash hands after handling lots of money. Why? Because of the germs and potential germs on money.

Since none of us have done studies on viruses, and since people believe all kinds of things

- we can see this in the fact that people just believe the media about Covid, when there are no more total deaths in the world than normal for this time of year -

why wouldn't people believe that money transfers the virus if they were told this thing? Who cares if it's true or not? What counts to the bankers is what people believe. Just because Fauci hasn't started saying this, yet.

I refuse to use any of the contactless options. I drilled a hole in one debit card to disable the aerial when the bank refused to send me a non-contactless card. I believe that Costa coffee shops only accept contactless payments, so they have lost me as a customer,

If we ever reach the stage when contactless is the only bank payment system, then I will use cash, or maybe I will use a dedicated phone for the purpose, and only keep a very small balance in the account.

These goldback notes are an interesting development, and I hope that more countries will adopt them.

People don't even use cash anymore. This isn't the 80's. Everyone's switched to credit cards so if the government had any excuse to get rid of cash, they could've used it ages ago citing it's obsolescence.

Not all people can afford to use that kind of payment method with the use of cards because not all people are given a chance to engage with that technology. Here in our country, there are still people who are willing to use cash than using a digital money. In a specific country, it doesn't really develop as a whole because there are still some rural places who are left behind.

the progress of online purchasing which is now flourishing in this pandemic. so an update is needed, it seems that the use of electronic money connected directly to mobile phones is starting to bloom. transactions are easier to do, finish buying just scan the barcode. so the possibility of using cards and cash will start to decrease.

Online businesses will really become popular if this happens.

Once that people are using only digital money, they will not hesitate to buy anything that they want or anything that they see in online shops.

It is really easy to make transactions using your phones because you don't need to go outside and it is less hassle for everyone.

Viruses and infections have been spreading for thousands of years, and you can't stop them. What you can do is to exercise your immune system, and ensure that your body can cope with them. I'm sure most people are aware that if you never walk anywhere, you legs will become less effective, and this will give you problems. Your immune system need exercise as well, and it gets that by dealing with the billions of viruses it encounters during normal activities.

The money Pharmers don't want you to have a healthy immune system. They have stated that future populations will have tailored immunity created by drugs, chemicals and vaccination.

I accept as true with you that it's a really good step to urge obviate the virus now there's a better risk of getting infected with the virus through folding money it's already been heard within the news that the virus is spreading through money so if we use digital currency the danger of getting infected are going to be less. this is often possible if the govt takes the proper steps Many aren't careful.

Paper money is one of the causes of the spread of viruses from people who were previously infected, but now everyone is aware of the problem and is one of their vigilance to be more careful and use gloves or other means when receiving paper money.
and indeed digital money is very effective in this pandemic situation because we do not touch paper money for transactions that depend on technology, but there are still many middle and lower class people who do not understand or do not know the function of digital money properly and that is the cause of their ignorance and lack knowledge that makes viruses continue to spread, and governments must think about and cut the spread of viruses.

Everybody has heard of laundering money. Maybe it would be a good idea to launder it for real until the pandemic is over... you know, like in your wash machine at home.

Maybe this year, we will see a cashless will start to be used in any country because we don't want to spread Covid-19 by using physical money. People always tell their people to limit their physical contact by hand and always warn them to wash their hands and clean it with soap or hand sanitizer.

The local government in my community pushed the digital payment system, actually we have the first digital wet market in the northern area of my country. It is good to see that there are now many people who are eventually using digital payment system than to ude the traditional ones.
I think the use of the digital payment system will increase in this pandemic because people want to reduce using physical money to buy something, they choose the card to limit the spreading of the Covid-19. Or they can also use the other digital payment that will be available on their mobile phone, so they can send it from their mobile phone to pay for something.

The government already warned its citizens that the virus may spread through cash so they say everytime that we are golding cash or coins, it is really better if we will wash our hands with soap or with alcohol. Wonderful brain storming! It's obvious that could be a matter in time, it's obvious Bitcoin has already done the world a favour by advancing much in that aspect.
I guess we won't be surprised anymore.

Mmm...but isn't that even more of a reason that people should start looking at cryptocurrency? With the amount of spending going on gov't-wise, I can imagine the inflation post covid being pretty insane too.

You said "looking at." And you are right. But ask yourself this. Why is bitcoin still beta after all this time? And why do the Devs keep the block size so low so that there are barely any transactions? And why do the miners keep the fee so high that there are barely any surges in transactions... when all they would have to do is keep the fee low so that there would be a lot more transactions from where they would get a lot more fees.

I'll answer it a little. It has to do with the blockchain size. Right now the BTC blockchain is about 335G big. Who can run a full node with the current blockchain size? Lots of people.

But if the fees stayed low, and the block size were moved to 1gig instead of 1mb, soon Bitcoin would be worth $2,000,000... there would be millions more people using it... nobody but a few professional computer people could run a full node because of the blockchain size... the cirrent Internet couldn't handle the transactions... and all this would make Bitcoin to be centralized, and ultimately controlled way more than it is now.

So far, the Lightning Network is more or less a failure. But something like it is what we need to take bitcoin out of beta.

And we could really stand to have a much faster, reliable Internet all around... one not controlled by Gates or the UN.

Don't push bitcoin into the forefront until technology and the world is ready for it... except if you want to centralize it, that is... which is what government is doing with their own crypto coin they are making.

maybe badecker is just angry that he may not in future ba able to stuff bank notes inside his 'chiropractors' g-string when his 'doctor' dances on the pole

what i have noticed alot is when small minded people cant grasp the concept of reality of big events. they start making up stories about how it was some plannet event because they just cant accept the reality that anything natural/random can cause so much chaos.
they pretend its not causing chaos, they say its fiction. they just cant grasp it
take things like sandyhook, 9-11, presidential assassinations or other things. they just cant grasp the random chaos of nature that led certain things to naturally align to cause such chaos

im actually surprised they can grasp bitcoin.. oh wait they think its a CIA invention

they waste so much time thinking of weird fictional stories. but dont take a little time thinking of the natural, logical, rational scenario

so when certain events get broadcast on tv. but it affecting so many lives. but they are the the centre of the chaos and they cant control it. they pretend its all fake because they cant control it.
or if it does affect them personally. but they cant control it. they have to find something to blame and make it sound like an extremely tough scenario to counter.

its just funny seeing how these idiots minds play things out

that's an old prophecy that ridiculously interpreted crazily in Revelation 13:16-17 Mark of the Beast lol whoever that preacher who interprets it like we get to have barcode on the forehead just made it literal in his head. who would want a barcode or a qrcode imprinted on his forehead?

we strive so hard for cosmetics and skin care but adding prints to the forehead is the last thing a person would want. if i have to i would want it on my dick.

@BADecker basically what you’re suggesting is that the governments will do a demonetisation of their currency’s, but I don’t think that it’s possible to do it under current circumstances. However what the governments can do is urge people to spend Digital money more instead of paying in cash, but then again I don’t expect them to strictly enforce this decision on their citizens.

Correct. But Covid is a lie - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq6oOuhSx7ESreh6m9LGy6Q/videos. So, if the people will accept Covid as the reality as easily as they have, can anybody really tell what they will do regarding the fear that regular cash compounds the Covid danger?

I just stumble this article and it says
Quote
Finally, there is little evidence that eliminating the use of cash would make a difference in the spread of COVID-19, nor do we have data to support that this virus maybe easily transmitted by any type of contaminated surface.

from https://theconversation.com/you-dont-need-to-worry-about-spreading-the-coronavirus-with-cash-137865

Here in our country so many people are still using cash and coins to pay for products and services, we have so many retail stores here and these stores do not accept cashless because of the fee imagine buying two eggs using a credit card or any cashless transaction.

Yes, but. It took only a month or two for the world to be convince of a Covid danger. And people STILL think that there is a Covid danger, even though they have been shown that the numbers have been twisted and are a lie. So, in might only take a couple of months for them to accept no-cash, since most of them are using cards already, and they are still scared of Covid, even though they know it's a lie.

Cool
