Ashes 2015: England v Australia, 5th Test
Venue: The Oval Dates: 20-24 August

Any early predictions for the 5th & final Test of The Ashes?
England have already guaranteed winning the urn back but I suppose pride is at stake for Australia here as England already lead 3-1.

Jimmy Anderson is fit & has been named in the squad. It'll be a party atmosphere down at The Oval I reckon as England have already claimed The Ashes. Nice weather, good cricket & beer Smiley

Sri Lanka 65/5 (23 ov) at Lunch, unless there is a rain delay I think we can pretty much rule out the chance of a draw now and if India can bowl out the rest of the team by the end of the day they might be able to win this easily i.e. if they can stand up to SL bowling attack.

India produced an inspired bowling performance on the first day of the first Test in Galle to bowl out Sri Lanka in two sessions just for 183 runs in first innings and now India trail by 59 runs with 8 wickets remaining in the 1st innings. R Ashwin's second successive five-for and his best figures away from home - did a stellar job to seemingly neutralise Sri Lanka's advantage of batting first.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat. India have Sri Lanka five down after having lost the toss. Ashwin struck immediately and has kept taking wickets after the quicks relied on the short ball to remove the openers, although Kaushal Silva was unlucky to be given. There has been consistent turn, albeit slow, for the offspinner, and bounce too. Some have kept a bit low too. Too much action for the first session of a Test

India tour of Sri Lanka, 1st Test: Sri Lanka v India at Galle, Aug 12-16, 2015.

I think as of now Indian team is better off than Sri Lanka - So according to me India may win this match - what do you think?

india wil win this match as indian team is emotional and its gonna be 15 of august which is independance day for india i think and they will do their best to win this match in any case to give gift to their country
Weather never been related to emotions I check all five days cloudy and have chance of rain so my prediction is this match could be Draw

This match will start today at 10:00 local time.

The match will be Angelo Mathews' 50th Test. Sri Lanka have lost two of their last three matches in Galle. India have not won a series in Sri Lanka since 1993.
None of India's top six have played a Test in Sri Lanka.

The pitch seems to be a typical Galle track, which will dry out quite fast so it shouldn't be any issue for the bad weather.

New Zealand won this match by 80 runs.

Massive win for New Zealand. The pitch looked flat when New Zealand were batting, but all their bowlers found something from it. The medium-pacers varied their pace well, the spinners - particularly Sodhi - actually spun the ball hard, and Milne and McClenaghan bowled fast and hit the pitch hard. Zimbabwe never, at any point, looked like mounting a challenge.

I don't know why Zim even after winning the toss decided to ball first, if they had bat first, maybe they wouldn't have lost this bad but they were no match for NZ in the first place.

It's a test Match and if I were to guess I'd say it will end up in a draw.

Zimbabwe v New Zealand at Harare, Aug 9, 2015.

Match scheduled to begin at 13:00 local time - Zimbabwe aim to replicate India heroics,

99% chance New Zealand will this match - it is my prediction  Wink

I would give 80-20 in New Zealand's favor, they're the favorites so it's not hard to predict that they're most likely to win this match but cricket is still very unpredictable, the recent two examples of that is One. Australia losing to England which I think should be the worst loss of their Test cricket career (I did say Eng might win  Wink) and Two. Lancashire winning yesterday's match which I thought would be an easy win for Kent with such a small total.

Currently New Zealand is one of best side in game they completely destroy Zimbabwe I am still in shock how Zimbabwe win ODI because they are not good as completely going down against India now friends what you think about 14 August match between SA and NZ

Finally England won this match by an innings and 78 runs. Man of the Match goes to Stuart Broad for a most incredible display of bowling in the first innings. 8 for 15 he took, the best figures by a fast bowler in Ashes cricket.

England have won the Ashes the fourth series in succession they have won at home.

england are gonna win the last one as well because australia team is looking incomplete somehow and also england vs australia and pakistan vs india is always a war not a match Tongue

Now almost sure England will win this match because Australia  already lost 7 wickets for 241 runs in 62.2 overs. Australia still trail by 90 runs with 3 wickets remaining. I think England may no need to play second innings.

Australia lost 3 wickets in pretty much quick succession. Now sitting on 136/3. Warner & Rogers gone, not looking good for them. I doubt they'll even match England's 1st innings result to be honest. The Australian's look battered, bruised, humiliated & ready to go home. A real lesson this is by England.

Edit - Australia now 138/4.

Now Australia trail by 244 runs with 10 wickets remaining.

Australia in second innings  87/0 in 18.4 overs - it looks like Australia may give good challenge to England in this test

No chance. They're still trailing and by the time they cover it they'll lose some wickets, it's just day 2, there are still 3 more days left in this game and  it'll be an easy peasy win for Eng. Aus can't win it, what they're trying to do is play extremely slow in order to push it for a draw but they won't be able to accomplish even that.

Australia are batting well today but they've still got 244 runs to chase before they're even level with England's first innings score. Even of Australia get another 500 runs England should still bat this out to victory. Australia have effectively lost the Ashes on that 1st innings. Awful performance that was & they'll be punished for it unless a miracle happens.
