If anyone is interested, the United Arab Emirates tour of Zimbabwe is all set to start from tomorrow. The first ODI will be played at Harare and the Zims are being led by Peter Moor. As usual, the United Arab Emirates team doesn't have a single Emirati citizen and is 100% composed of expats from India and Pakistan. Players to watch out for: Craig Ervine, Kyle Jarvis and Sean Williams.

Hey while the tournament is yet to start I can sense the excitement for it on the forum already, as for the upsets is concerned it’s difficult to say if big teams will avoid upsets or not. I remember the World Cup of 2007 lost huge bets because of those upsets, hence this time will be playing wisely. Also I feel the teams that can cause upsets are Afghanistan, West Indies ans Srilanka these three can surprise the top teams.

Yeah, there are lots of excitement among the cricket fans, including Bookies too and not to mention some fixtures like Ind Vs Pak match tickets already sold out and skyrocketing in the black market.
I am not expecting a very big upset in this world cup (top team getting out) because there is no Group system in this edition. every team will play 9 matches with each team so its highly unlikely that top teams failing in the row unless they somehow forget how to play
. I think that during the tournament run rate, the winning margin can come in gameplay when teams competing for top 4 spots. 
I agree mate, I think the fourth is either New Zealand or South Africa but I think I would put South Africa just ahead of New Zealand on current form in ODI matches. There is no doubt that the winner in my mind will come from either of these top 5 teams, there may be a surprise from say Sri Lanka, Pakistan and maybe even Bangladesh but I can't see them winning the World Cup.

Yes I agree with you about the WI as they have shown in recent matches against England that they can match it with the best in ODI matches and they also have some good young talented players that could rise to the occasion on the biggest stage of them all the World Cup. Its going to be an interesting tournament that's for sure.

The problem with West Indies is that their players perform very poorly when playing for the national side. They will always be on top of their form while representing various franchises in the IPL, BBL, BPL.etc. But while playing for the national side, there is hardly any team spirit and co-ordination.

I doubt that they will get eliminated during the quarters. In my opinion they are hot favourite to play the final. It's true that anything can happen in the world cup even the most unpredictable team can win the tournament or may be unfortunate England will keep the trophy in their home or may be the chokers will win it for the first time. It's really difficult to find a winner at this stage when the tournament has more then one and half months or may be more than two months left.
The only expectation I have from world cup is to see an entertaining tournament.

Not sure by what you mean they ain't as strong as previous Australian teams? Its almost the same team as the last when they won the World Cup in Australia. Don't forget that Smith will almost be a certain starter in the team and Warner can also slot back in if they need him. The bowling attack is one of the best in the world so I think they have a very strong team.

Indeed, we can't underestimate any WORLD CUP team, what happen in the future we don't have a clue. In ICC tournament, the atmosphere of it would be a great boost to grow confidence of any team. Which team will be the winner of the upcoming world cup? that doesn't matter as entertainment seeker, yet rivalry there would be must.Absolutely, no one can predict the future instead of their assessment according to their cricket knowledge or to some extent bias. but man, I really don't wanna witness any major upset where main teams getting kicked out of the tournament in the first round. similar to the 2007 World cup.
By upset I mean India and Pakistan both getting out early in the tournament. it's my biased opinion btw.

I would like to see and India vs Australia final or Australia vs England final.

India vs Pakistan fixture is in my mind and every cricket fan, notably in ICCI mind too because this fixture alone can cover all expenses of World cup and if by any chance they both playing final against each other then ICCI will say now Lambo now Moon lol.
I am still not sure that Australia going into finals. not ignoring their recent performance and capabilities, momentum is with them and there is no doubt about that but I am backing the teams with their 1-year performance.
This scenario can change with only one game let's say Pakistan, Australia or any other team beating India and England in Semis. all we need is one bad day for the team and they are out from the World cup race.
Numbers not supporting Pakistan Team at the moment but will not rule them out completely due to only one reason. their unpredictable attitude towards the Game. This world cup going to be a tough competition because Oz team looks very competitive now which was not the case 3 months back. South Africa and New Zealand already have a reputation of playing competitively against the opponent.

IPL 2019, Match 16, DC vs SRH,Delhi losing their last seven wickets for just eight runs in Mohali in their last game,would like to forget that game quickly and concentrate on the upcoming clashes.SRH are in some amazing form at the moment and their top-order is doing the bulk of the scoring.i will go with SRH for their all-round performance.
