The Sri Lanka bowlers are on fire in this test series once again dismissing South Africa for just 222 runs on the first day of the second test match. Sri Lanka are 3 wickets down for 60, if Lahiru Thirimanne can stick around and get some help from the middle and lower order then Sri Lanka can take a lead in the match. I really hope Sri Lanka can go on with it and even get the win which would result in the biggest test series upset in years as no one expected Sri Lanka to play the way they are after their poor performance in New Zealand and Australia which are similar pitches in South Africa.

You are underestimating South Africa a bit too much here. Rabada and Steyn have already begun dismantling the Sri Lankan team and Thirimanne seems like the lone wolf surviving in the middle at the moment.

If Lahiru gets proper support from other players Dickwella or Silva, they have a chance to win this, but it will definitely not be easy. Strong partnerships are the only way that they can pull this off.

SA vs SL second Test match in progress.

Proteas choose to bat and struggling badly. Just a flashback -  1st match in Durban- 1st session of the match and 3 down ( 17-3)

Today they lost 3 wickets within 15 runs.

Hey it seems their bad form has continued to effect them in this match too, they have already lost seven wickets for 201 runs I think they’re staring at another defeat.

If WI hold the catches they would win that match. Roy and Root helped England win the game both making centuries, it was a very good game to watch, very entertaining game of cricket.

The match between WI vs England was indeed a thriller, I can’t believe how WI lost the match but yeah the dropped catches came to haunt them in the end. I feel this shall increase England’s credentials for winning the World Cup, that was a solid performance from them today.
That's really more interesting, small mistakes done by the West Indies players have caused them get miss the winning of the match. I never expected this would happen in the match. I feel lucky, because I thought to bet on West Indies and missed due to some commitments. Else I could have lost big. All that who spend betting on England seems to be the luckiest.

So far so good. 17 runs without losing any wicket. Minimum 18 overs remaining. Sri Lanka needs to focus on not losing any wicket in this session. If they don't then they can start tomorrow morning with a fresh and confident mind.

Good Luck Sri Lanka.

SA all out in 222 runs. tough start for any captain if he opts to bat and the team gets all out. Thanks to De Kock and Rabada partnership. Proteas at least crossed the 200runs.

Now all eyes on to Srilankan openers. We still have 25 overs left if they can go wicketless by end of the day then this day completely belongs to Srilankan team.

They should watch out for Rabada-Stynn's spells.

Session wins the Test Match

Finally De Kock gone.

The last partnership added 59 runs and most of the runs came from De Kock. Good for Sri Lanka that they got him. Now only two wickets left to take. Hope they can wrap it up.

bad luck SL. Will De Kock does the same what has been done by Krushal Perera? I have a feeling that Kock will have a good figure. Dropping Rabada is a great mistake for now.
If you give him options then he can score runs. He is a top class batsman. Sri Lank needs to use the half chances to take the wickets. Every single runs are not good for them. De Kock is trying to add as much as he can.

~snip~
Should I tell it's their luck same as South Africa? Both of the teams play always play good cricket but in the world cup, they fail to achieve a title. I think they are in lack of some good combination. England should be a favorite one since they are the host country this time.

I am not much believer of luck but in some events it seems that the luck exists.

They dropped Rabada. It was an excellent opportunity to wrap lower order quickly.

Sri Lanka needs De Kock. If De Kock is down then the rest two wicket falls will be quick. De Kock alone can take SA to a decent score. Yh Sri Lanka teams is looking good. The bowlers are doing really well. Once this innings finish then the batsmen needs to do their job.

185 for 7 now.

They dropped Rabada. It was an excellent opportunity to wrap lower order quickly. They surely need one quick wicket otherwise De-Kock will never miss a chance of quick runs.

And he's not playing in defensive mode. he's looking for a counter-attack on Srilankan bowlers.

What do you think is wrong with England when they go for big tournaments?

Missed too. I only watched till the century from Gayle. I was also expecting a win from West Indies but bad luck of them. Roy played quite good and England made it an easy win.

I wish England play the same kind of matches in the world cup too. Unfortunately in any world cup they could not make it to happen. They failed to get the title every time.

Holly molly! I was watching WI innings and I was quite confirm that they were going to win the match. Chasing 360 runs was never been easy. I think credit goes to the England top orders. Too bad I missed the innings.

Yeah, Srilanka looking good with the ball. Now SA is in big trouble. Let's see if we witness another lower order collapse.

6th wicket down, debutant Wiaan Mulder is out. Srilanka needs to wrap up a lower order from one end.

So that, they can restrict SA to under 180runs top.

Good for Sri Lanka. They seems confident in this test match.

Sri Lanka team needs to believe in their own team spirit. The last test should give them the encouragement of winning this match too. De Kock is a set batsman. They need his wicket.

I wish good luck to Sri Lanka

West Indies managed to score a whooping 360 runs which I thought would be tough to chase it down but as of now, England seem to be on track with 254/2 in 33.2 overs. About 7 runs per over needed to win, but with 8 wickets in hand..if anyone of Morgan or Root stick around until the end, it should be an easy task.

Yeah I thought that 360 would be tough to chase but England are doing a great job right now batting and if they can keep it to just 2 wickets down by the 40th over then I think they have a big chance at winning. Root will be the key to England winning this as he is a very good player at keeping it together in tough situations.

South Africa tour of Bangladesh, 2nd Test: Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat

Bangladesh 246/8 in 88.1 overs.

Due to heavy rain the match has been called off for the day. That makes it two days in a row without a ball bowled. Going into the fourth day, the first innings is still going on.

I think this match will end in draw.

yeahp. Most likely it will be draw.
