It wasn't always going to be going Australia's way as England were in front for the first 2 and half days and looked to be on top but what turned it around was Steve Smith's century. This put the momentum in Australia's favour and they haven't looked back, like I said yesterday the key to Australia winning was to get Root out early and they were able to achieve this even though he made a half century but once he fell England just crumbled under the pressure from a great Australian bowling performance. Australia will now go onto winning this 1st test match easily and will now be hard to beat as they have their confidence up and all the momentum going into the Adelaide test match. Australia will still keep their record of not losing in Brisbane in over 30 years.

Sri Lanka have already lost one wicket and will be under pressure looking at the huge first innings deficit. Although the pitch looks good for batting (India had 4 centurions - Vijay, Pujara, Kohli and Rohit), it is a whole new ball game when you are batting under pressure. I think the spinners will wrap this up by the fourth day, resulting in an innings victory for India.

India lost 6 wickets and out that 4 made centuries . This proves that its a batting pitch and SL in first innings messed up with thier batting. They have lost 1 wicket in their second innings also and seems tomorrow game will be won by India with some runs and a inning.

I just wish SL plays atleast sensible cricket tomorrow and don't let India win with a big runs . I hope it goes to 5th day but it doesn't seem like it .

I don't think we will see 5th day's play as India will finish things off on 4th day itself and SL is already under pressure and only miracle can save them from this match as its never easy to bat in second innings especially if you are trailing with this many runs.

Indian batting lineup is very strong so they can give big target to SL and India have chance to win this test match.

As expected Australia started to lose wickets in first session but due to steven smith century and cummins support they score 328 and in resonpose England lost 2 wickets for 33 now on 4th day if England bat full 4th day and score above 300+ then the game will be on and both team will be having equal chances of winning. Right now Australia are back in strong position if they take down England below 250 then their winning chances goes high.

As i told Indian batsman batted well and scored 312/2 if they score above 600+ then they can force Sri Lanka and get all out in 2nd inngs defending their target . So as i told it India will win this test match with an Innings.

Smith played responsible innings today and scored 141 runs. it helps AUS to take 40 runs lead in 1st innings. but England lost 2 wickets quickly just for 33 runs in 2nd innings. if eng give more than 250 runs target to aus then only this match will interesting or else i think AUS will win easily.

Australia need to keep their bowling tight, and continue as they started or else if the lead crosses more than 280-300, it will be tough for Australian's to chase. But it will be interesting though.

India on the other hand is playing undoubtedly awesome. This test match they are going to win it seems. I think 250-300 runs would be enough tough for a chase by Lankans, less than 200 would be not tough for Lankans I believe. Mr. Pujara from India is doing great. 150 is coming I believe tomorrow from his batting.

Australia bowled well and got England all out for 195 in second innings giving 170 target for Australia , in response Australia openers played and scored 114 without loosing wickets so now they need 56 runs to win in 5th day.

India batted well and score 610 giving 405 target for Sri Lanka in response they lost 1 wicket for 21 runs and still 2 day is left so i think tomorrow 4th day India will finish the match and as i told they will win with an innings.

I think it will not go to 5h day of the match. tomorrow only this test is going to end and India will win. SL trail by 384 runs this is a huge score and SL lost 1st wicket duck. so this is a clear win for the Indian team.

Austraila needs just 56 runs to win so they are going to win 1st test tomorrow and they are leading this series by 1-0.

Tomorrow just a formality for Australians, they will win the match within lunch, the way Australia bounced back to the match is fantastic. Hats off to steven smith for his fabulous innings.
In the other match, India will win the match. Srilankan bowling looked very mediocre, Kohli toyed with their bowlers.

With two full days remaining it is a loosing battle for Srilanka,four Indian batsmen scoring a century each which is a rare sight,the last time i have seen these sort of performance was when the Dravid ,Tendulkar ,Sehwag ,Laxman and Dhoni were the batting strong holds and it is good to see the present team scoring runs but i would like to see these sort of performance against dominating teams.

Australia need just 170 runs in the final innings to wrap up this match. Knowing Australia, this wasn't expected to challenge them at all. But they have reached 114 without losing any wicket. Looks like they are going to win this match comprehensively. England will have to improve a lot to compete with them.

India does have plenty of time to build a good total and with Rahane and Rohit yet to come they are in a really good position to get to a really big score as Pujara and Kohli are playing a good innings and i expect a big innings from Kohli so that India could dominate Srilanka in every aspect and could win the match quite easily.

It is just the second day and India already have a lead of 100 runs. Time is definitely not a constraint here. Looking at past history, India could win this match with a day to spare. It will be interesting to see when Kohli declares India's first innings tomorrow. Most people expect him to go on and get a big score, not just win the match for India.
