Right now Australia are back in strong position if they take down England below 250 then their winning chances goes high.

As i told Indian batsman batted well and scored 312/2 if they score above 600+ then they can force Sri Lanka and get all out in 2nd inngs defending their target . So as i told it India will win this test match with an Innings.

Smith played responsible innings today and scored 141 runs. it helps AUS to take 40 runs lead in 1st innings. but England lost 2 wickets quickly just for 33 runs in 2nd innings. if eng give more than 250 runs target to aus then only this match will interesting or else i think AUS will win easily.

Australia need to keep their bowling tight, and continue as they started or else if the lead crosses more than 280-300, it will be tough for Australian's to chase. But it will be interesting though.

India on the other hand is playing undoubtedly awesome. This test match they are going to win it seems. I think 250-300 runs would be enough tough for a chase by Lankans, less than 200 would be not tough for Lankans I believe. Mr. Pujara from India is doing great. 150 is coming I believe tomorrow from his batting.

Yes and credit goes to Steve Smith for playing fantastic innings which helped Aussies to take lead as at one stage Aussies were struggling to get to score of 300 but Smith took the charge from one end till the end and later on it was good attacking bowling from the bowlers which helped in taking 2 quick wickets and this match gonna be very interesting from here.

Australia lost eight wickets already and trail by 12 runs and a good thing for them is Smith is still playing at 117 runs. England bowlers did a good job but Australia 8th wicket partnership made a lot of runs. England shouldn't allow Australia to take a lot of runs lead in this innings and they should take out new batsman faster. Both teams got equal chance to win this match and it depends on how they perform in second innings.

I would say that the 1st test between Australia and England is even after day 2. If Australia can come out today and get an innings lead of say 150+ runs then I think they will go onto winning this 1st test match. The key is the current partnership between Smith and Marsh, if they can keep going then it will go a long way to Australia winning. Both look set to make centuries, England will need to bowl well in the morning session and hope to get some quick wickets, if they can then Australia could be bowled out for around the same total as England. I think the morning session is vital to both teams to see which team can get the upper hand in the match.

Considering the series as a preparation for another series is the fun part,we need to see competitive cricket but it is good to see good pitches being prepared in India rather than just plain tracks conducive for batsmen.Hope India could make a good competitive score and win the match in the final day considering the fact that Srilanka does not have a good batting line up.
