Recently, I heard TV report in my country that police found and caught drug dealers.
They bought drugs in the dark web and paid with bitcoin.
Because of such reports, people can get very negative image about bitcoin.

Indeed Bitcoin can be easily used in criminal activities and person can remain anonymous using various addresses. But still there are many cases where the criminals are easily traced through connecting various transactions and addresses. The thing is Bitcoin is not better than fiat in any way for funding criminal activities. Countries through some regulations can make Bitcoin easily traceable when required. Fiat is way more anonymous than any cryptocurrency.

the history of bitcoin was it started in the deepweb, they used it for transactions, no doubt criminals were smart, but i think now that bitcoin is of that much value, rather than using it for bad, they might change their mine, it just like the gold rush, people tend to do thinhs against the law just to get hold of the gold, but in the long run, people changed their ways knowing that the gold they owned is that precious, giving them a sensw of security.

I think they are being afraid of digital currencies too much, if they are afraid of bitcoin or others, that is used in criminal transactions, why didn't they fear fiats too? It is even used in criminal transactions a long time ago even before digital currencies was made.
