What do you guys think of creating a monthly crypto club were coins get delivered to your wallet? Like Loot Box or Dollar Shave Club. This has been done in the past and seemed to all fail. Not sure if the developers sucked or just no clients. Though, my club will be different then the ones that failed.

I've been working on a project for the past year but now I am rethinking everything. :/
1. You've been working on the project and this is the first time you considered posting? Like this should have been the very first post even before you started working on the project.

2. Who will deliver the coins? Which coins? Will the value of the coins fall by the time it gets delivered? The dollar shave club is different, they send an actual product which doesn't change it's shape or form. Cryptos are volatile and can lose value by the time they're sent.

3. Too many complications man. I'd like to hear what you have come up with so far.
Yes I am also interested to see the product which created by the author of the post. After all, we have to discuss something specific right?

The idea might work if the dev have high focus to make the coin price high in value and the users monthly rewards is higher than the membership fees besides this the project should offer some information that can be of benefits to members.  Referral programs shall also bring in more users.
Ability to earn other coins and know which project to invest for profit shall be an added advantage.

If the reward is more expensive than the membership fee, then where will the money come from.

You may run some sponsored ads placement opportunity and ICO and other crypto businesses shall patronize you once they know your members are crypto oriented people.
Have I answered your question?

I am nervous about talking about it in a forum but no idea is a new idea. It's all about implementation.  I need people to tell me the truth so I don't waste time and money!! Creating a startup is stressful enough. LOL

My developers and myself are all US based. We are also working on some other ideas by implementing our own wallet for our users crpyto (security is a MAJOR concern), this legally bypasses some US security/trading laws.

I am almost positive that seasoned traders wouldn't join our service. The service would be marketed towards newbies and people who just want to sit back and collect crypto. I would hope that seasoned traders would be happy when we succeed since we would be introducing new users to the market.

We talked to a consultant who recommend we create a business in Hong Kong but that just seems non-trustworthy. We want to be 100000% legit but all the paperwork for the US is so expensive. So we are now looking for investors.
I don't know... if you saw a business created in Hong Kong with a US team, would you still use the service?

I think it's a good idea in concept but it depends on how well it all plays out. Too many sites have promised similar things, especially when it comes to investment groups, where the people running them either ran them into the ground or flat-out scammed. For this to work, I think most people would need to know what makes you different from everyone else and why it will succeed.

Sounds like the OP made up his mind about doing it (or not)

Last Active:   March 24, 2019, 01:32:33 AM
Well, probably OP needs more time as he stated that the OP will going to launch it after having a couple partnership to get a better support. The could definitely will not be able to stand alone without a good support. So, in this case if OP has stopping already the project then probably the OP realized that the service to be made is not worth it.

However, I am just sure that OP is still working on it and just getting the support from partnership. Well, let's wait and see for this OP's project.

I am not really sure how this would operate, but does seem like an interesting idea. For example, people could pay $1 a month via BTC, and get like 1$ in random cryptos delivered to them?

$1 is too less to send . Forget about the transaction fess , I guess you will not be able to sell that amount in exchanges. But in $1 if P able to find even one lucky project then I guess he will get lot of business and then OP can charge premium prices too.

So, if you going to succeed, where others have failed, you obviously have to have a secret solution for their mistakes? Newbies does not stay newbies forever, so you will have to find a way to constantly find new "newbies" for your club and a way to fund the whole thing.  Roll Eyes

I am not saying that it is a bad idea, but you will have to research why the other clubs have failed and improve on their mistakes. It can be intimidating for "newbies" to share a open platform, where there are a mix between expert Bitcoiners and lots of experienced members.  Sad   Tongue

This will be a hit or miss depending on what cryptocurrency you are sending to your clientsn if its just full loads of shitcoin then users might feel like you are just offloading your losses but if you are giving away cryptocurrencies that are relevant and stays close to what they paid for then users might actually like it. Another thing to consider is put in a guide on why you included that crypto in the lootbox (e.g. is it for investing is it for buying?) So that they know what's the best thing they can do with that cryptocurrency.

Have you looked at NastyFans for inspiration?  Not quite a for profit business selling monthly goods, but it is a crypto "club" where "coins" get distributed to members on a weekly* basis.

*Minimum threshold applies

Thanks for mentioning that, had never heard of this project of yours before. Looking into buying a seat from an existing member.

OP, I do think this is a pretty good idea, if you get decent value for your subscription, I would be interested in joining when it's operational.
I just think it would be cool to have a number of different coins sent to your various wallets each month.

Just to see, after a year or so, what kinds of profit those have generated.

I know you can easily buy them yourself, but having it arranged by a third party was make it a bit less time-consuming.

You should share how the your club works in details. My guess is, this will also fail if there's no incentive to continue participating, and the majority of the users only here to gain short-term profits.

I believe those projects failed because they can't generate profit and therefore there is no longer money to be distributed to their members.

Why your project will succeed? As you say, al that kind of clubs end failing, so, what will be different with yours, if you think it will be fine just because you say it, then that isn't enough to have success.

Tell us more details about the project and maybe you will get some people interested in joining your team.

As crypto seems to be slowing and the volume is WAY down. I am not sure if the need is there for this type of service anymore?
If you were a newbie or even a pro, would you use this type of service?

Why not start a survey in this forum. You can check how many people are willing to get the service and the price they are willing to pay.
But I think, first you need to make reputation (may you need to give services free for couple of months). Afterwards you can start charging what people are willing to pay for your services.

It might work, if you aim for the hobbyist and not the enthusiast.

Set a very low price for monthly memberships, and send airdrops or other coins that have a one in a million chance of making it.

Later if you gain popularity you can introduce paid services and charge more for better vetted crypto.

2. Who will deliver the coins? Which coins? Will the value of the coins fall by the time it gets delivered? The dollar shave club is different, they send an actual product which doesn't change it's shape or form. Cryptos are volatile and can lose value by the time they're sent.

Announce the coin, then give everyone a period of time to get a wallet - they can request the coins at anytime - or even sell them automatically.
