I'm going to bookmark your link and I might even subscribe if your first video goed live. YouTube is a very good medium to share your knowledge about crypto currency. Will you be focusing on newer people into to space or will you also dig deeper on somewhat technical topics?

I uploaded my first video Smiley I hope you enjoy it, and feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions. Each video will get better as I learn the system. I will be starting with "new" crypto currency users, but will get more advanced as the channel grows.

I will be launching a "How to evaluate crypto currency coins, and ICO's" on October 19th, so you might want to tune into that regardless of your stage in the crypto currency world.

I would recommend staying away from ico's and preico videos to start because it may seem like your selling out before you even started.

I am focusing on guides and tutorials and then will slowly move into ICO reviews. I have a plan for a video in which I explain how to evaluate coins. So I will need to post that before I review a coin, and I have a lot of different guides on top priority so I can farm newer members

I am going to be launching a Youtube channel surrounding crypto currency soon. ( I am preparing some videos now, targeting new users )

I will be aiming to create tutorial videos/guides and daily news content.

For everyone who watches crypto currency youtube channels, what do you like or dislike about it?

My channel will feature:

No Ads
Daily weekly news topics
Guides/tutorials
Interviews ( possibly as the channel grows )

If you want to pre subscribe here is my channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDMskjJegbcshbTMfpqhbXQ?disable_polymer=true

I have not added any videos though or done any customization's. I will however update this when I am ready to add content

https://www.youtube.com/user/LiljeqvistIvan

Ivan has the best cryptocurrency channel IMHO. He is a developer and can explain the concepts in a layman's term.

10-30 mins is alright, as long as it if full of information. I would suggest fine editing and cutting the parts with "eeh", "yeah we gonna wait on this for a minute to load", etc.
Also, as you are not making a lifestyle blog, you probably shouldn't film just your face all the time. I really like videos with good presentations, as if you are studying a course somewhere. The presentation can be vary simple, but serves as a good support for your speech and helps with structuring.

Yeah I will make sure to edit the video so I am not wasting anyone's time. I will have my face in the corner of the video likely the whole time. I will have a presentation in which I will show as well ( will fit more of the screen )

Some videos however might not feature my face.

I might be interested in posting a summary video on a personal website or something like that, however for YouTube I am aiming for my videos to be 10+ minutes. I want to give people quality information. However ( I think you would like this feature ) I will be posting a document/powerpoint of the content I talk about in the video in the description. That way if you want to re look at my information you don't have to re watch a 10+ minute video. This is give people a option to download all my content and keep in a folder on their computer for easy use.

That is an awesome idea you got there it will really help a lot to some beginners or some people that really want to know some big news about the blockchain and crpto world. Hope that your channel will grow more and hoping thay many people will subscribe to your channel especially tjose enthusiastic about cryptos.O am looking forward that you will share some efficient ways in trading altcoins and that is my suggestion, hope it will be covered in your channe. Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much Smiley I will make sure to let you know when the channel has a video up. I appreciate the support

From ICO runners' perspective YouTube channels maybe a good channel to attract investors. But it should be focused on investors and accumulate this audience to be an interesteng marketing channel for those who conduct their ICOs.
BTW, I'll share here the fresh yet helpful Telegram channel that give good tips for ICO teams. https://t.me/yoken
Please share your sources in return.

I will be making a video on how to evaluate ICO's and existing coins that I think you will find helpful. Thanks for the telegram, I will have to check it out later. Right now I am going to mainly focus on tutorials and guides

Good stuff Tim. I think you have all the right thoughts on how to best run a channel. I would just add that portraying yourself as a full on expert will gain not only views, but subscribers who will really trust you for advice. Good luck!

Thank you very much, I appreciate the support.

I don't like youtubers showing their face instead of focusing on showing the coins so please avoid that.

So you like it when youtubers dont show a camera? I plan on having a small camera on the screen, while I have a opened powerpoint or whitepaper on the screen ( depending on what I am doing )

I will also have videos where it is just a video of me, when I am explaining recent news or something like that

I'm glad you can do something with the advice I gave you. Pre-recording videos before your channel is a really good strategy to go about uploading on YouTube. It will gave you some breathing time in between uploads and you're able to test out what works and what doesn't.

Yeah I really like that idea Smiley

I think I know who you're talking about but that lady dashed away off to another channel  Grin.
A couple little tips for your YouTube channel: try to get some sort of consistency going, by doing this viewers who watch you regularly will know when to expect a video of yours. Also do not overdo things right from the start. Try making a video once a week and go from there. Consistency is key when it comes to YouTube. Another thing I would recommend is to be as complete as possible, there's a lot of information out there but it's scattered all over the place. This is important especially if you're targetting newbies, they will appreciate it. And atleast try not to be biased as mentioned above.

This is very good advice, right now I am preparing some videos, as they take a lot of time to create. And then I will release them regularly and hopefully since I will have some pre-made, it will allow me time to create more videos on time since I will have one already created and ready to launch. As the channel gets bigger and more supported, I will be able to release more videos, but the 1 week per video is a very good idea and I like that.

Do add videos on how to spot scammers.

I plan on creating videos on how to evaluate ICO coins, and I will make a extended video on how to spot suspicious coins

Hey Awesome that you are going to have a crypto currency channel.
What i would like to see is trading videos

My message got deleted for some reason that im not aware of

I will create a "how to day trade" video and will make a video talking about the different exchanges etc

Its nice to hear that you are going to launch a youtube channel based on cryptocurrency. Definitely I will subscribe your youtube news channel.I have a suggestion, it will be good and you will get many views if you make videos about faucets because everyone searches in internet to earn free money. Also it will be good if you add reviews and comparisons about all major cryptocurrency exchanges.

I can certainly make a faucet video for people who want to receive free coins, and it will likely capture them as future visitors to the channel. Yes I plan on creating video content regarding exchanges. I think my biggest problem will be video editing and maybe some minor problems with the audio since I dont have a good microphone.

The crypto-related Youtube channels I watch , I do because they make great tutorials and do in-depth market analysis of the Bitcoin price.
I regularly watch 'The Cryptoverse' on Youtube, he has a great balance between news and tutorials, his market analysis is also correct.

Besides, I wouldn't really mind that you'd put ads on your channel, I'd still watch if the content was good.

I will take some notes on this Youtuber and see what works and what doesnt work with him. I am going to be mostly aiming for tutorials to help beginner users and then will hopefully end up creating analysis videos when the channel gets bigger. I think it is best to hold ads off unless I can get a very large following 100k+subs

Do proper research on all Alt coins before you post it on Youtube. There was a lady who made videos on Youtube about Alt coins, but only promoted these coins if they "sponsored" the episode.  Roll Eyes Try to be objective and do not pick sides in the battle between Core vs "everyone else".

People can easily spot if you are biased and will not subscribe or support a channel, if you favour a specific side in this debate.

Good luck with the Channel, it is difficult to generate quality content week after week.

I have been researching crypto currency for a decent amount of time and am confident I will be able to analysis coins, however I am not going to dive straight into it in the beginning. I am going to focus more on tutorial videos, and I certainly will not be only focusing on paid videos. I want to make general videos that give people a idea about a coin or investment and give them the knowledge to come up with the analysis themselves. I would be basically guiding them

Do a video on using a escrow and how important it is. Making escrow easier to understand and a youtube video for it would allow more users to stay safe on the forums.

This is a very good suggestion, thank you. I will certainly make a video on this

Nice idea. I think that this is definitely a niche market and has a lot of potential if done correctly.
My personal advice would be to not only talk to the camera (interview style) but to also have slides/animations to illustrate your points etc.
Nice graphics can go a long way and make otherwise long talks much more interesting.

I am not very good with graphics and video editing which will be a problem, however I plan on a camera view and a screen with powerpoint slides. I will also make the download of the content free for people who want to look it over without having to watch the video again

Things I don't like :

1) Poor video quality
2) Distorted sound quality
3) No real content in the videos
4) Using YT to prmote FUD and pumps

Pls don't do any of the above and you will be successful.

1) The video might be a little poor when I start out considering I dont have the equipment to make it the top channel off the start. However the content itself will be very good and I will allow people to download my power points and documents for free.

2) I dont have a mic, but if people suggest one to me that I can buy on Ebay or something, I will gladly do that. Right now I am working off of my laptop and am not in a fixed location.

3) The whole point of my videos will be the great content and tutorials

4) I will not be promoting any coins that force me to analyze it differently. I also will not be making it a focus to get paid promotions

If I may, don't forget to put effort in the production of your videos (sound/image quality, rythm,...). I know it's a lot of time but it makes a real difference, especially for those who are new to the crypto currencies.

Good luck.

I will try my best to create the best production, however my equipment might not be suitable. However I am open to suggestions and will always listen to my audience. I will adapt as people start watching the videos

so you are making a channel for cryptocurrencies right?

regards

yes that is correct

I really like the idea.  Is there going to be some sort of grading system or rating system that you will use to showcase which coins/companies are better or worse than others?

I do not think that a youtube channel has the ability and authority to rank coin and companies. A separate website that has the background and complete information system is needed to do it.

Not 100% if I understood the question, but I thought it was a rating system that I would personally give. So like me saying X is a 8/10 etc

I can rate the coins on my analysis, however there is no real way to rate a coin. If you could rate coins, everyone would be rich like I have said.

However, I have some content in place to help people with the process. My video reviews will be something people can compare to their own views.

Edit: I have been working hard on this, and I havent even released a video yet. Lots of work to still come, so I am hoping you guys will enjoy it and learn something from it. I am always open to suggestions, and once the first video comes out I will have another thread to discuss upcoming videos etc. I am all about free content, so hopefully this will change the way we receive information regarding crypto currency.

I think you should focus on doing research on your opponents and looking to know what they offer, what you think they are failing and how you will improve what they already offer, because currently everyone offers the same things, to be annoying, you see the same news everywhere, the same views everywhere because everyone makes copy / paste from each other.

Feathers do something that you like, that you believe is right, do your own analysis.

for example if you do a video that talks about siacoin, you should give your own opinion and do not copy / paste, do you think siacoin is a currency that most disappointed in that year? so post it on your video, do not worry if the siacoin's fans will get angry, be realistic.

I'll give you an amazing example that I saw in the siacoin thread.

months ago I bought siacoin for 320 satoshi, I read the siacoin thread every day and everyone in the siacoin thread kept posting words like "siacoin is a big project, wrath for the moon"; but one day someone came who did a great post criticizing siacoin and that person said that siacoin would drop below 100 satoshi and he explained why motives believed that siacoin would drop below 100 satoshi, I immediately sold all my siacoin when it was in the 300 satoshi, see today, siacoin is less than 90 satoshi.

this to say that you should not listen to people's guess in the thread of each coin, make your own investigation put your opinion.

My content will be different from others, typically guides such as "what wallet is the best" are similar because it is "fixed" information. But I think when I get into reviews of coins, my channel will pick up speed. I also have a few videos lined up that I have not found one on, so they will be new topics that have not been introduced.

Which is why I am very excited to start doing reviews, because I am very passionate about crypto currency and think that I could use Youtube as a platform to voice my opinion on the subject.

Right and this is  HUGE problem in crypto currency, many people only invest with hype or listen to news articles/journals that might be biased. With my youtube channel, I am going to make sure my viewers have the necessary skills ( which I will help form ) to make their own independent decisions and to use my review videos to compare with their own views. For a lot of people, they dont see the actual purpose of crypto currency which is very dangerous and a reason a lot of people are getting burned in the market. My videos will almost be a wake up call for current investors and a starting point for potential investors.

My videos will teach people how to evaluate and what to look for in ICO's and current market coins. So hopefully I can help change the way people view coins

the main problem with videos is that it takes a huge amount of time to watch em.
I really enjoy short and 'packed' videos.
Check out these two channels, I really enjoy their style. No bshit and blahblah.
