I don't like the idea of installing gambling-related apps on my phone due to the fact that "permission" (for Android) can be hidden (not sure with IOS) or basically I don't want to associate to it alongside with my internal stuff (gallery, cameras, etc) although, if that app came from a reputable site, it shouldn't be a concern.
Ever wonder why some of those popular gambling sites don't have a standalone app designated for mobile? For gambling types e.g slots, roulettes, plinko or any related types, to somehow feel it's full functionality, it needs plugins that mobile web currently doesn't have. And applications need regular updates so much better if all will be done on their website instead and just see if the phone can adapt those site's web versions.
Good point. Not all apps for mobile devices are trusted these days. And with many threats lurking in the crypto space, you'd need to be careful to avoid losing your hard-earned money. The only app I came with is "CoinPoker", but it doesn't seem to be quite popular as other crypto poker games which can be found online. Since almost every gambling site is adaptable for mobile devices, there might be no need for an app after all. Of course, it's possible to add certain features on mobile apps which aren't possible on their respective web versions. But so far, my experience has been hassle-free using web versions of popular gambling sites which run on smart contracts.
ETH-based gambling games are the most popular on the blockchain space today, but EOS and TRON-based gambling games have been on the rise recently. My top picks are skill-based games (like Poker and Blackjack), as the odds of winning are higher than luck-based ones (such as slots, and dice). As the industry grows, we'll be able to play more unique games which accept cryptocurrencies online. I'm sure that more gamblers would love to play more on their mobile devices than doing so on personal computers.
Are you aware that Google does not allow gambling apps on their Play store? That is why none of the reputable sites have their apps in the store and neither would develop any for such.
Instead they develop the site in such a way that it gets optimized for both PC/Laptop and Smartphone view. All the dicebots have been developed with the PC/Laptop idea in mind and they also dont go for any smartphone.
In this context I think I should mention that some scammers have tried to use the same names of reputed sites to create apps and put them on play store either to steal money or install malware. They get taken down quickly though. But this should be kept in mind.
I was not aware about that. But it's good to know about this, as it explains why I haven't seen crypto gambling apps on the Play Store. If there's ever an app available, it can only be accessed via external sources (like CoinPoker does). It's much safer to play gambling games on your mobile device by visiting the site itself than downloading an app. In today's world where many hackers are on the hunt for crypto wallet's private keys, one needs to be careful when installing anything that's not widely trusted or recognized within the mainstream world. Considering that there's no real gambling apps for mobile devices that would accept crypto, visiting websites would be the way to go nowadays. Wallet apps such as "Trust Wallet", and "Cipher" prove to be convenient mobile web browsers which allow you to gain access to a plethora of ETH gambling games for "gambling on the go". Of course, people have different experiences when it comes to gambling with a mobile device versus a personal computer. But the trend will most likely be a hit on mobile devices, since most people don't often have time to sit on a computer at all times (or don't even have one).
