Not really, although gambling looks popular but in fact not everyone really likes gambling and even though they talk about gambling, they are not really gambling or just gambling in their own circle. So I think bitcoin is not just about gambling and this looks big because we are at least active in bitcoin gambling every week, so we assume bitcoin will get bigger as the world of gambling develops.

So that's like a news center? Nice.

Bitcoin should be the innovation of online gambling but when you think about the withdrawal fees, it will just hurt you so bad.
$20-50 converted in different gambling website. That could have been a one day bet for some gamblers.
I'd rather stick with Ethereum or if there is another option like XRP I might choose that.
It had been always the exit which is the main problem. It's just too expensive.

Besides want privacy, people want to use different currencies besides using fiat money. They can still use fiat for something in their real life while using crypto to gamble. If they can manage how they use their money, they will not have a problem with using fiat and crypto for their life. But the privacy will be one thing that they concern about because by using crypto, they don't have to verify their account to just playing gambling. The Crypto gambling business will grow because of the use of crypto, making cryptocurrency popular.
The problem with playing unverified in a gambling website is that the gambling website can use it to their advantage by locking the user out of their account if they were to ever win something big, it is a pretty prevalent issue right now. I don't think that it will be easy for a gambling addict to manage their money, they are the worst kind of people that will have money land on their hands. I was once told of a murder of someone who was a gambling addict who owed so much money that there is no way that that person could pay it. Hopefully, not only gambling will make cryptocurrency popular but also bitcoin as it is.
Not really that bad to test out waters but only on small amounts of money for you to play specially if you are dealing with new gambling sites and even those popular websites
at the moment did really start on being a newbie site but do able to build up their reputation as the years passed. This isnt something that can be attained for a short time.
Gambling industry did really give out some impact or awareness of bitcoins existence, it is being advertised in other social media platforms out there
and its quite rampant or evident, it might not be solely for that reason but at least we can see that it can be applied into numerous industries.

nice website, so we BTCGosu and BitEdge now for gambling website reviews on this forum.

crypto gambling website allows us to register and play from a restricted country. but when it comes to withdrawing a big amount of money, some gambling companies need to double-check their user.

bitcoin had been a medium for restricted or illegal transactions for a long time. I believe this is very segmented to some people/community only. IMO, e-commerce, marketplace, or payment gateway/service, might be the main catalyst for bitcoin to be widely adopted.

Thanks!

If look at new and old gambling sites using Bitcoin as a payment method, it can be said that. For now, gambling sites are the main ones in rapidly adopting Bitcoin, very different from other businesses that have not or are doubt to use BTC, maybe the reason why many gambling sites accept BTC or crypto because can make players safe because don't need to reveal their personal identity when use it.

Thats how crypto been widely used. As bitcoin and other altcoins has been made not only for crypto payments, blockchain purposes but also can be used for gambling/gaming purposes.

Also, crypto gambling websites tend to reach some players even on their homes by betting on sports, playing some casino slots and other games thru crypto coins. This innovative offers frictionless gaming for players. Not only that but it can also promotes great use and purpose for cryptocurrency.
More people want privacy when they are gambling so they use cryptocurrency to gamble because there is no money trail that is going to affect their personal life if they are trying to hide their gambling addiction or habits. The way I see it, gambling reaches the people at home through advertisements from the sports that have been sponsored by this gambling websites.

One of the earliest uses for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general was gambling, people very soon realized that being able to gamble with a currency that brings you a level of anonymity is really important, we must not forget there are still many countries in which gambling has a very unfavourable stigma and many do not want to leave any kind of trace they have been gambling even if they have their gambling under control and they gamble just to have some fun, and bitcoin without a doubt provides the means to do so which is why the gambling industry is one of the most important in this market and it will keep being so during the next years and decades.

Hi everyone,

Gambling through sportsbooks and casinos seems like a great use case for Bitcoin (and other cryptos) at the moment.

It allows people from countries with strict gambling laws to play with no worry of punishments. It also allows successful gamblers to play without account restrictions placed on them - as they would get at fiat sportsbooks - and a whole host of other benefits.

As this sector is growing fast, I thought I'd write a weekly update about the developments in the crypto sportsbook/casino world.

Feel free to check it out and let me know your thought (there are a couple bets to follow in there too, if that's your thing) - https://bitedge.com/blog/crypto-betting-weekly-19-feb-2021/

Gambling could certainly be a niche that crypto is able to fill - and it is one with quite a lot of revenue involved as well.

In terms of mass-scale, institutional adoption though, this is too far fetched. Most regulated gaming entities are unable to offer services to restricted areas/countries, and this is not something that crypto is able to circumvent.

Also, you have to appreciate the downsides. Since most operators in the crypto space are unregulated, it means that they are more arbitrary when it comes to the operations. There is never a guarantee that you will get your funds back once you make a deposit since there is completely no oversight - great for anonymity and privacy, but not so great for safety of funds.

Generally the gambling industry is really a catalysts for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency generally, sometimes years back i usually see gambling as a means to do illegal act, but the moments the cryptocurrency came gamblers went into the gambling world wholeheartedly, still remember that, this Bitcoin was one of the motivator for my entry into gambling.

Nope, I  don't think so, gamblers   is a small portion of population and they don't  do the trick in BTC adoption. For example those people who  live in Africa and who  are considered to be the first wide BTC adopters are not gamblers at all. Their economic situation prevents them from any risky business that in fact the gambling is. And It is very hard to think they will spend their bitcoin  in games of chance.
Maybe now the gambling community isn't good with the wide adoption of bitcoin, but during the early days of bitcoin gambling served as a big platform for the widespread and growth. In simple, if Bitcoin hasn't got used by gambling sites during those days then it couldn't have reached such a level of growth by now.
To know that this isnt only talking about gambling but other industries as well but we cant really deny that Gambling industry did really make out such impact
nor had contributed when it comes to awareness or simply with adoption this is why we cant really cross that one out and its no surprise that it did become
even way more bigger into this market.Adoption does talk about in different sources or paths.

Actually the current popularity of Bitcoins has a lot do with the gambling industry because the casinos like Primedice gave the idea of provably fair games and instant deposits and cashout without any questions being asked and no need to verify identity. Then sportsbet.io came and we before that directbet.eu was there to satisfy our sports betting needs without any worry of being asked for KYC or any documents.

I remember directbet didn't even had an account system which eliminated any risk of being asked for documents and being troubled to withdraw your money. You make a bet, if you win and get your winnings sent to your address directly. Not sure what prompted them to close the services but nevertheless, I cannot emphasize enough on how much casinos and sportsbooks or gambling industry as a whole contributed towards the popularity of Bitcoins.

This is a good blog to keep getting updated on what is new to different gambling website. Gamblers can also use this as a reference to choose where platform to bet that is more profitable for them.

I think it would be not good if gambling will be the main catalyst for mass adoption of bitcoin. People would not easily invest in bitcoin if they find out that it is related in gambling. They would think that investing on it would also be a gamble. I would prefer to be the main catalysts for bitcoin is big institutions are investing because they will adapt it on their platform. People would see this as a positive rather than gambling which is often treated as a bad habit.

This one is good, I hope you can update as well regarding to the latest fees and if most of gambling site accepted other altcoins or if some site can enable direct purchasing of coin that can be use in the game or token using bank card either debit or credit. Maybe yes gambling can be the reason for adaptation but little possibility because we know that it is been years since we use bitcoin but most of the country doesn't adapt it yet to include in their casinos.
