Merit is still very new and I am unsure how it will affect the forum as a whole, not just signature campaigns.
I'd like to see how it playes out for a while first and what possible adjustments are taken during that time,
before making a decision on anything like that. I'm inclined to say no, though.

I think theymos is testing a bunch of stuff at once right now. Maybe there will be even more new features added soon.
Will all of them stick around? Maybe. Maybe not. We'll make adjustments to those that do and work things out so they fit for all people involved.

Sometimes common sense serves us wrong, but that is what my assumption was; although I'm sure there will be someone that disagrees that this is common sense for whatever reason. That being said, signatures are displayed in Meta, where very meaningful conversations are had and posts are read very intimately, yet those posts are not counted either.
