that's true, there's a lot of cryptocurrency in the market for traders, the impact of bitcoin volumes is difficult to grow and has an effect on prices, it's probably pretty bad
but we can not blame the ICO project itself

They're not killing Bitcoin. They prove to the world that there's no reason to wait for something better.

I agree since Bitcoin is already pretty well-established in cryptocurrency market.

If this was true, bitcoin would be dead by 2017. If you could see how many ICOs have been registered last year if ICO industry really kills bitcoin then bitcoin should be dead by now. The introduction of ICOs in the cryptocurrency industry made a fair completition for a lot of aspiring investment firms. And if anything it only shows that cyptocurrency investing is currently one of the hottest investments as if now. And lastly, this would make for a good amount of diversity in the cryptocurrency world once cryptocoins become official currencies.

Agree! There are really good ICO projects with social missions which should be supported.

ICOs promote the idea of crypto and drag more attention, so that cannot kill the BTC

Yes, this is a more way I think to Bitcoin getting popular. Although many ICO is a scam, ICO can be introducing cryptocurrency even Bitcoin to the wider community and investors. And giving flow money to market cap of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. So ICOs can't kill Bitcoin.

ICOs don't kill bitcoin. you say that they sell bitcoin and dump the price but investors first have to buy bitcoin for investing and this action push the price higher. so as you see there is some kind of balance between buying and selling bitcoin.

We can not deny that the many ICO projects have made the reputation of bitcoin and cryptocurrency worse with ICO projects ending in scams and losing many investors so they are sorry and disappointed by the crypto and the disappointment has made investors start leaving bitcoins because they do not want to experience losses again by following ICO projects.

BTC there needs to be more transparency & security when it comes to an ICO road map. This would protect investors & potentially make the ICO lucrative.

I never understood why cryptotraders and exchanges support ICO's, my reasoning is this: An ICO gets funded, then they do what, they SELL the BTC they raised for fiat and push the price dive on BTC, thus taking all those BTC out of the trade environment, anyone thinking that an ICO would reinvest into the exchange is naive. This hurts everyone, even the exchanges. You might say "Well the exchanges get fee's on ico" well that is true, but they are losing all future potential fee's on those coins, if they had continued trade on the market.

So in Short - ICO's are killing Bitcoin and CryptoMarkets.

ICO does not kill bitcoin. On the contrary, they contribute to the development of crypto-currencies thanks to global advertising. In addition, many projects accept bitcoin for payment.

You can make so much money from investing in the right ICO, all you need is a little guidance. No one is being forced to buy any ICO and frankly speaking, I didn't think the btc made from any ICO is enough to destabilize the price of bitcoin. No bitcoin leaves the trading environment. If you sell then someone has to buy. So I don't think this problem that your speaking of even exists.

I dont think crypto ICOs have an influence in the current bitcoin price. They even tell more about why having bitcoin at the earlier ages was a good thing and that it's not late for people who didn't get the chance to invest in their projects.
I don't think btc hodlers will see these lines and make an attempt to sell their coins for no reason. The current price is by the fake news and regulation issues and nothing more or less.

Probably, now the ICO opens up a lot, many tokens are born, they give people a better value than Bitcoin. Therefore, Bitcoin's market share is very high. Probably Bitcoin prices will not be as high as in previous years.

They give better value than Bitcoin, you say? Yeah sure, just like gambling in a casino could give you a better value than buying Bitcoin.
The majority of ICO's are never going to give anyone a profit, the whole scene is just one massive shit-show for the most part.

For every decent ICO, you have about 10 or more that are just plain scams/bad investments/etc.

From midnight 15 September to all Chinese exchanges, engaged in transactions with cryptocurrencies, it is prohibited to register new users. This was reported by the state news Agency Caixin, familiar with the relevant order. The Agency also refers to a source close to Chinese regulators. The official order of the Chinese authorities has not been published yet

Well, I personally think that ICO is a good concept but there should be more transparency while executing any ICO process and it is the responsibility of the team who is involved in ICO. At this stage, there is a huge number of scammers using ICO as a shell to execute their scam and since people don't have much idea about the crypto industry, they are blaming Bitcoin and alt-coins for their loss. We also need to build mass awareness to deal with such misunderstanding and avoid irrelevant defamation of crypto.

I think if people really understand about basic knowledge of crypto and the basic information of btc, people will understand that ico and btc industry are completely two different things. Actually, there are some ico that fake or scam, that tend to fool people. They usually are some similar project to hyip program or ponzi scheme, and people should understand by now that all ico are real and can be a scam. But I do not say that not all are scam. I just want people to be smart in this new world and era. Maybe some people think that when ico get scam, they intend to blame btc.
