Some coins were called 'The next bitcoin' in the past, but there are no coin can replace bitcoin.
It is not about the coin features only, bitcoin value is very high because peoples already trust it.
Need a long time to gaining trust and value of coin in this cryptocurrency world, not easy.

From the looks of it there seems to be two big things that this project offers. One is decentralized messaging which we clearly need in this day and age of data protection and privacy. The second part to Elixxir looks to be their payments system which I think would work well with a messaging app. We definitely need something that is mobile forward for mass adoption. Right now there's too much of a learning curve for Bitcoin users- waiting for somethign to get more people on board quicker

We have heard this so many times and they all prove that Bitcoin couldn't be replaced and make people realize that Bitcoin couldn't be replace.

I don't know about the coin You're talking about,but I'm still inclined to assume that in theory there might be a coin that can outperform bitcoin.At the moment, no altcoin can surpass bitcoin.And this is a well-known fact.Everything else is useless hype.

I believe that Bitcoin will always remain Bitcoin but I think with time there will be a coin that comes in and improves on the system. Exactly what Ethereum was trying to do but decided to take a different approach. Elixxir seems promising to me and will improve on systems that Bitcoin is lacking. Especially when it comes to fairness of consensus. Right now it's too hard for just anyone to mine Bitcoin anymore unless you have a ton of money or power

No, I do not think it will be a new bitcoin. Is this necessary? Why invent something that already exists? We would deal with what is already there. Well, I think that bitcoin domination will end sooner or later. Certainly not in the next 5 or 10 years, but in the long run this will happen. Who can take his place, I can not say, maybe it will be an Elixxir, maybe Sound Money Coin, but the fact remains that Bitcoin will leave the king’s throne cryptocurrency sooner or later.

Lol , I actually loved the topic, crypto legends creates the next bitcoin but I think it looked familiar because when we began to see a rise in the price of ethereum, everyone began to say that ethereum is the king even more than bitcoin and it is going to be the next bitcoin in the market, but years have passed and ethereum is still yet to attain that position, I don't think any coin can claim the position of bitcoin for now because bitcoin still remains the king.

interesting, if this was also not equal to be kind but there is some good advantage about creating this new coin to this market so hopefully it can also be performed good definitely the future is brighter for Elixir.

I do not think that now while there is the next bitcoin. In order to shift it you need a serious project. Which will accept all countries. Say that will affect the entire banking system in the world. Then yes.

Yes they are saying exactly that but you shall not be scared because quantum computers are a bit different from what we are used to.
It is no like you can run any program on any given architecture right? The program needs to be pre-designed to utilize x84, 64bit, ARM etc. to be fully operational. In quantum computing it the computer that has to be designed with a specific task in mind. It can usually run only one type of equations, one set of programs or instructions.
In other words, IBM or D-wawe would have to build a computer specially designed to crack bitcoin, to crack it and "we" can always add "another zero" so in fact, it's all just a fear mongering. Blockchain is safe.

I dont even think that the next bitcoin would replace bitcoin even if it has so many things improved rather than bitcoin.
