Cryptocurrency:
~
As you wish. But in crypto, the price can swing at any time because any good or bad news is able to change the game.
The fact that the price can swing anytime is the reason why many people wanted to invest into crypto.
Volatility = money. That's the principle of those investors who wanted to earn money in the shortest amount of time possible. More volatility, more profit, but at the same time more losses.

Real-estate:
~
They make money when the value of the money over time increases.  Real estate provides us with a physical asset that can provide us security and stability as compared to cryptocurrency. Real estate property has high potential as compared to crypto to increase its value after a period of time.
Aside from the land appreciation overtime, real estate owners can also earn from rental income. They build a house on their property, and let the tenants live on their house.

Real estate has a higher potential to increase compare to crypto? I don't think so. A quick google search, and I saw that the average price appreciation of a real estate is around 14%. Compare it to crypto where it's price can double or triple in just a single year. Of course this isn't consistent, and we might see both assets go down in price as well.

Which one do you prefer?
Both.

One is more secure one is more profitable. Every investor wans profits, but I'm the type of investor who balances both security, and profitability when it comes to investing. If given the opportunity, I'll invest into both... or I'm investing in both already, but mine's on REITS, which is another form of stock from a company. Smiley

Lol, are you for real? After writing all this the best you can do is to ask us to choose between crypto and real estate? Well, both of them are good investment opportunities but they are not the same and shouldn't be compared together. Can you invest $50 in real estate? I bet you can't because the amount is really small and laughable, but you could invest same amount or less in cryptocurrency and make quite a fortune with it.

Like I said both real estate and cryptocurrency are good investment, but real estate is for a selected few that have the financial capabilities to invest in properties, but cryptocurrency is for everyone, irrespective of your financial strengths.
For real estate investment one need big amount but anyone can start investment from $1 in bitcoin. And returns of profits are faster from Bitcoin than from real estate.  But real estate is considered the best investment by older people because they don't know much about Bitcoin.  They have a negative perception of Bitcoin.  However, young people are more vulnerable to Bitcoin than real estate and consider Bitcoin investment as a potential investment rather than real estate.
I agree with you High capital required to start a real estate business It is estimated that at least $40k-50k is required to start a small real estate business. But it depends on the location. And for this, different types of documents are required, but for Bitcoin, huge amount of money can be invested anonymously without any kind of documents. And at least $1 can be invested. However, since Bitcoin is not legalized in all countries, there may be legal issues in Bitcoin investment in many countries, but real estate business is legal in all countries.  So investment depends on individual's ability and country's laws.

Real estate is tangible, can provide food/shelter, legal proceedings involved to make a transfer which gives you sense of security and protection. Also, you feel like huge burden leaving you when you own your own place to live. Whereas, crypto is fragile, rampant scams and hacks, volatility, significant security knowledge required to secure your funds.

Prioritize real estate first. Once you own a place, explore crypto investments without burden of rent or the landlord.

Which one do you prefer?
Interesting question. Usually real estate in the long run brings very good profits, and if you own multiple places you can also get a steady income which is almost passive, I say almost because anyway there is maintenance involved unless you get someone who will do all the work from you. But you also need a good amount of money to start investing in real estate, it's not something that every person can do.

On the other hand cryptos require way less money to start, the amount of people who became millionaires thanks to bitcoins that purchased for a few bucks is insane, but cryptos bring way more risks because of volatility.

The best, as usual, is diversification, having both crypto and real estate would be the best move, if feasible.

Crypto.

Why?

The answer is very simple, I don't want to be a slave to the government.
Show me real estate that doesn't take from you. If there was real estate I could buy and hold without any expenses I'd take that over crypto, but there's nothing like that.
Everywhere you have to pay property tax and often also pay garbage fee and maintenance. I have a small apartment that I've inherited and that costs me about 1k USD a year, even if it's completely empty, unused and unheated. Even if I don't take any profit from owning it, just hold for a rainy day.

My bitcoin doesn't tax me like that.

I think you are just evading taxes for your Crypto gain  Grin (j/k).  Cryptocurrency and Real estate are two different entity so their taxation have different approach.  Real estate being a taxable tangible asset is subject to taxation  by the government  while Cryptocurrency being an intangible asset is only subject to taxation when there is a capital gain.

Anyone can read the links for more information:
Taxable Asset
Intangible Personal Property: Definition, Types, and Example

Anyway, I also prefer cryptocurrency because of the sole reason of having a low entry point, and higher chance of gaining profit due to its current status of being in early stages.  Aside from that due to the same reason @coolcoinz stated, holding it is not taxable until we sell it at the higher price. While real estate is subject to annual tax even, reason why some think of it as a liability than asset when left idle for years.

This has been discussed multiple times in the forum, and most of the answers are mixed. Others may say that they prefer cryptocurrency because they can buy it with a small amount of money and also because they can buy it without going outside your house, only in the comfort of your home.

Others also prefer real estate because it can give you passive income while you sleep and you can still earn profit, but the cons are that it needs a huge capital investment to buy a property or even do but and sell.

Diversify. No matter what you prefer, it is the best practice to distribute your investment and not only go all in on one because if that investment fails, you will lose your money. That is why having both of them makes you secure in case one of them is a failure.

Cryptocurrency: You can buy it for a small amount of money and many people can afford it
Real estate: You have to have a lot of money to buy it and only a few people can afford it.
Which do you prefer?
If it were me, I would prefer cryptocurrency.
I can have more investments in crypto while I can't buy real estate yet.

Even if someone has the resources and money to buy the real estate, he should think twice about it. Real estate was a good investment a decade ago but now the world situation is unrest. The Ukraine Russia War, the China-US tension and the increasing floods/earth quake in recent times have made real estate a risky investment.

We all know that if there is any hint of a world war, people wouldn't be buying the properties, and we could see a selloff pressure in the real estate industry.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, might prove to be a very handy and store of value in these uncertain times.

I think that there are different types of real estate, some can be profitable, while others are not worth buying. In this context real estate is similar to cryptoworld: BTC and other main coins are OK for a long term, while scam coins are a waste of money... The main thing that is different in terms of investing is the possibility to use real estate in other ways than investing (building, renting, business initiative, agricultural initiative). So, I think that it's a good decision to invest in both things, if you have enough money...
Diversified investment is always good than going all in one. My suggestion will be to go 70% on cryptocurrency and 30% on real estate. The value of property used to increase with time depending on the demand and the location. However the same have got the risk of decline in value of the property if there is no development happening around the region. With cryptocurrency things weren't the same, the demand is high and the growth is assured if you've got the ability to hold. For this reason my choice is majority capital into cryptocurrency than real estate.

Both investing in crypto and real estate can be really good, potentially making a huge profits over time. However, I believe that the safest option appears to be real estate. The value of houses or apartments that you buy today is likely to increase in the future, and the probability of this happening is very high when compared to the potential price increase of Bitcoin.

To be honest, I believe the safest investment option is real estate. However, if you have strong faith in Bitcoin or crypto in general and believe it might be a better choice for you then go ahead and invest in them.

If you do have the money and budget then why not have both? The more the better as we do all know and make out diversification when it comes to investment is always that recommended.

Having multiple source of income stream would be always ideal. We know that real estate business or venture is never been cheap but once you do have able to acquire one then you do know that it could really be something an asset which would generate out income or something a value that appreciates but of course it would really be that depending on the property that you had bought which we know that not all would really be ending up that good and thats one of the risks when it comes to real estate business but most of the time it would really be that something good to have.

In crypto on which you could be able to held on something that might bring out profits on long term but it would be entirely be depending on which coins that you are holding.
Bitcoin or some top altcoins on present would be the ideal things that you should be holding for more years to come. In overall it would be always recommended on having that multiple choices
and options for us to have that kind of advantage.

Why not both? In real estate you need a big amount in order to invest and a lot of knowledge about the market. How thing works, what to do, and when. The same case with Cryptocurrency. But the best part with crypto is, you don't need a huge amount in order to get into it. While you need a better understanding of technology and blockchain in order to access cryptocurrency, those who know both crypto and real estate can choose both. This way based on priority, they can put more or less money into that.

I get the idea that not everyone can do both. But for those who can, it's an investment heaven. You get the best of both worlds. For me, I choose both, but my first priority is Crypto then comes real estate.

Based on the circumstances we have to make a decision. Because for me I have earned a decent amount from money and now I am looking for stable earning methods. So I decided to invest in real estate. It doesn't mean I am leaving crypto investment anyway. Since crypto is highly volatile I need stable earnings besides crypto earnings. That's the reason based on circumstances you have to make your decision. Because we don't know your current situation, if you have a ton of money you can do both.

Talking about real life most of the people use real estate and it is preferred by all.
Because it’s easier and more understandable for most people who are far from technology, especially from modern ones, like bitcoin. Who wants to (if it’s difficult for them to press a couple of buttons on a smartphone, and a laptop is like an alien device) use bitcoin, purchase, storage, wallets, transactions, mempulls and more? To the uninformed, it looks as complex as quantum physics. Therefore, they choose what they understand best.

But if you ask the people who are currently involved in the virtual world, surely everyone will choose the cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
Nope, not everyone. There are still quite a lot of unbelievers doubters in bitcoin. Even among IT specialists, who, it would seem, have been in the virtual world for a long time and are even part of it, as creators and architects.

But neither of the two is bad both are good, for human race two are one type of wealth one is touchable and has shape and form, and virtual currency Bitcoin is not touchable but can be seen and felt which Bitcoin is decentralized currency.
In a way, it is. Real estate and bitcoin are financial instruments from different areas or worlds, so to speak. Both that, and another, can be used for the benefit for yourself, if you know how.

Anyway I definitely prefer Bitcoin over real estate and I like Bitcoin the most as the currency of the future.
Did you have other options? - this forum is not RealEstateTalk, right? Smiley

I think investing in Bitcoin has twice as much potential as investing in real estate.
I'm sure a lot more than 2 times (twice). Show me a property that, over 10 years, has shown at least a close return on bitcoin.

But real estate investing in various business activities or assets can earn good earnings at one time, but I will invest in Bitcoin because it can reach highs anytime and earn good profits.
I don't think that at the same time it will show a high income, but it can be used to minimize risks. That is what is called diversification.

Diversifying your portfolio might also be a good strategy.
Exactly, that was what i was saying earlier, the two assets are not intrinsically linked to each other, so they are great for diversification, if you can buy the both assets, then split the investment and put money in the both of them. There is higher level of safety when you invest in two good assets that are not related to each other, like real estate and BTC. Real estate is a less risky asset than BTC, and BTC produces returns faster than real estate, many things are different about the two assets that make it great for diversification.

Real estate is not always available for common folks especially those who are living in some top countries where everything is expensive but in cryptocurrencies that won't be the case because sometimes just a chunk from your salary can turn into a huge profit if you know when to buy bitcoins. Bitcoin is an opportunity and have a huge impact on the public if they only want to use it for good because it is not only for investment but also for security and privacy.

There are many differences between real estate business investment and cryptocurrency investment. Investing in Crypto Currency You can invest any amount at any time and sell your investment at any time but this is not the case with real state business. In case of real estate business you need to arrange money according to the type of business. If you are buying a land or selling a flat then you must invest a lot of money but if you want to invest in crypto currency then you can invest in crypto currency any amount you want. It is possible to invest here with a very large amount of money as well as it is possible to invest here with a very small amount of money. Real estate business is always the best and if you are thinking of something alternative then you can invest in crypto currency.

Which one do you prefer?

I am the kind of entrepreneur who doesn't just lay all his money on one asset because I believe that it's not wise to put all his eggs in one basket. Although, depending on the amount of funds I have, it will determine which assets and how many assets I can invest in at once. If I have a small amount of money with me, then I can prioritize just one asset that I think can be profitable for the long term, but after making a profit from that asset, I can then use the profit to invest in other assets. With Bitcoin, one can invest any small amount, but real estate requires one to have at least a large sum of money. So, for example, if I have funds that can buy real estate, I will invest in real estate, and any profit I am making from there will go to Bitcoin investment. But if I have enough money, I can still invest in Bitcoin and real estate at once. Currentl, am accumulating Bitcoin but it doesn't mean I don't also want to invest in other asset.

I know people who have a lot of cryptocurrency, but they have never declared their cryptocurrency income. Buying real estate in many countries is closed to such people, and buying real estate in the Emirates at inflated prices would be a bad investment. I can even say from my own experience that the payback on real estate takes more than 10 years, and in cryptocurrency trading the income is very high.
