Hello guys! I'm sorry you had bad experience with Poloniex. I don't know why that happened to you because I'm still using it and the withdrawals I make are very fast. I've been exchanging Btc and Xlm for a while now and every time I withdraw my XLM to Coinbase the transaction happens in a matter of seconds!
Even after losing lots of users and being bought by circle, poloniex still has terrible support that could take weeks or even months to respond so THINK. TWICE.
Poloniex scammed me!!!

in the past when I used poloniex, they had many problems, I do not know if their services improved since it's been a long time since I did not use poloniex, but it would be wiser for you to warn people using poloniex very carefully, never leave much money in the exchanges
I believe you are not the only one who experienced bad thing in Poloniex. I have to admit that Poloniex was one of the best exchanges few years ago, at least it was my first non-local exchange that I used to trade regularly long time ago. I stopped to use Poloniex since there are many issues on withdrawals which took too long time to solve.
I appreciate OP's effort in making tutorial how to trade in an exchange started from creating an account, but it would be nice if OP choose a better exchange such as Binance for the tutorial.
