The growth of bitcoin in this quarter is still slow and there is still no significant rise on its price. The ice is not yet completely thawed for the bitcoin and it need more time to melt before warming up. The price of the leading cryptocurrency rose modestly in the past few days but only to decline again in the next day. The next quarter might be better if there are positive developments that will stimulate the price of the bitcoin to go up.

All the branches that started to grow were just cut off. Again.
I am sick and tired of these fake springs. I will wait directly for the "summer".

Edit: to make it clear, summer is above 10k.

Officially, spring will begin March 20, so it's still winter. Clearly said in the crypto world I still think it is still in the winter. Although, the first signs of spring have already come in the form of the growth of some cryptos - litecoin or ethereum.
I do not care very much about the predictions, because no one knows when the "spring" will come and after it "summer". But everyone would have liked the hot "summer" period in cryptos.

It looks like we are exactly in march. March is the month that looks like spring but it is not spring like may where weather is great, march is also right after February but its not as cold as February neither. So, at march we are living in a constant "yeah its chill but not too warm nor not too cold" state in real life and crypto is exactly at that stage right now.

We are definitely not going down a lot, yeah we could go down a bit maybe but we are not breaking the bottom for sure but also at the same time bitcoin is not having any bull run soon or at least it looks that way, we are not going above 10 thousand dollars all of a sudden. So, in this "middle" state bitcoin is basically right at winter-spring levels at the same time just trying to decide at which direction it wants to go.

You can see that there is slight uptrend on the prices when compared to previous months so people are coming into the bitcoin slowly after the long bearish trend but no bull run and no news or anything positive for bitcoin to say it will end the bear market.

Maybe the spring is coming but I doubt that is coming for Bitcoin too. Price is more or less in the same range despite the recent small rise and market isn't getting any greener. Some analysis and graphs could be some indiciator and guideline but don't rely fully on them, they don't have to be completely accurate and sometimes they just reflect the moment, not the whole trend.

I suggest when you are cryptocurrency trading do not fully see from the graph that occurs only at a time of 1 day, take a track record of cryptocurrency price movements of at least 1 month or you can see from last year when moments like this compare what will happen because all speculation can happen.

Money is flowing in. It looks like we've found the bottom. Is crypto winter over?

I think it would be too easy, too many crappy projects still hanging on life support. IMO a very nasty and deep last leg down is coming to finish the cleansing. Could be wrong tho.

I also think that one more deep price drop is possible, but first we need more growth - to a level above $5k, maybe even $6k. From this level, one more panic sell may start, which may even drop to $2k. This should clear the situation and open the way to changing the trend.
I never think price drop in upcoming months, Because market is stay in a dip. So Big pump will possible on future and many positive response are comes in this year. I hope we will see a bullish market soon because Facebook also introducing new coin soon so peoples are believe the crypto currency.

not only you who want the price of bitcoin to be expensive this season, the world of cryptocurrency must have good news so that the price of cryptocurrency can recover and can make traders smile again.
that's not how the market play nowadays..as the matter of fact despite of the situation there's still a good news around the internet which of course about market and etc but there's still no response after the fluctuation . So obviously that positive news is useless on this circumstance .

For me market now is definitely controlled by whales and fuds so keep hoping that the next manipulation is moving forward.not opposite.

I hope crypto winter for the bitcoin is already done and better to experienced again the shine which is the pumping value of the bitcoin. I hopt it will really happen. Maybe a lot  of people wants this that market will grow again. Sring is what we want because once it happen to crypto world we can cause for us to earn more money. Better for us to buy more couns because remember once this winter done we can see our money increase also.

Money is flowing in. It looks like we've found the bottom.

so many people tried to predict where the bottom was and no one could get it right and until today they still can not tell where the bottom is

Is crypto winter over?

Have you seen any analyst forecasting these days? they are afraid of making mistakes in predictions and this proves that not even they do not know, then the answer is: "nobody knows".

look like these prices will be the lowest for a long long time maybe even ever.

this is a possibility

Winter is not "bad" in a sense that it is logically found in humans but it is "bad" as in it creates more issues than spring or summer. Winter is the month that can kill you if you are not dressed properly, kills the traffic with snow on the roads, kills the food with worse conditions to grow crops. I can find multiple examples like that which makes winter "bad" but not in an intentional way. Spring is better because you can still have rains to grow crops and roads are fine and weather is fine. I guess that was the logic for the analogy, I agree a better one could be found but its not that bad neither.

I also agree that worse is behind us, while dropping from $20k I never knew when would be the stop and at $6.5k I believed that would be the end of the drop but now at under $4k I realize maybe this is the bottom, we are still not certain but it sure does look like these prices will be the lowest for a long long time maybe even ever.

What a capturing topic, you are are certigorising the dump in crypto as winter and calling the rise or bull run as spring, are you saying winter is a bad thing ?

Lol, anyways from what i can see by monitoring the charts, we are very much close to the end of the dip in crypto and hopefully by the second or this quarter of 2019 we should be seeing a bull run in the price, this is if there is no FUD news created by haters.

Not necessarily. I wouldn't disregard the possibility for further adjustments downwards at this stage leading to previous bottoms being tested.

I still believe we are still some time away from the actual recovery that would lead the market into a bull market, and this can be seen through the strong resistance that is still present at the $4k level at the moment despite what seemed like a pretty sizeable rally from the start of the month. I definitely won't rule out seeing a lot more dips than what people are expecting right now.

actually the resistance at $4k is not that strong. the only reason that price couldn't do an actual "breakout" was because it was the first time that price level was being tested and as is the case with first attempts at reversals, it always fails without exceptions.

yep, it was a clear resistance level---a previous weekly pivot. obviously it was going to be sold into the first time the market tested it. there's nothing surprising about that.

if we convincingly double top at $4200 then chances are we've seen all the upside we're gonna see. right now it still looks like a short term shakeout to me and there's more upside to the upper $4ks, maybe $5k+.

this is just a short term trading perspective though. if i were a long term buyer, i wouldn't be buying here.

basically it is due to the day traders and their sell orders that suddenly spikes when there is a bigger than usual price rise for the first time. so when for a long time they were only seeing 4-5% rises and suddenly they saw a 30% rise, they obviously rush to sell and get their big unexpected profit out and that crashes the price. not because of lack of readiness or lack of fresh money coming in.

Actually it seems the bearish trend it seem to be over and the bullish trend will commence after the correction we are witnessing today.  We should expect good price by the middle of this year.
Looking for that mate. The trend that shown up recently will surely give encouragement to the community and some investors who left crypto will turn back  investing again. Putting their money will help the market recover faster than to its normal trend but of course, we consider its volatility that pumps and dumps existence will still remain.

That said, this price level is opportune for accumulating for the long run in my opinion. Anything below $4k should be accumulation zone. It's a matter of we aren't certain where short term market movements are going to take us, but we do know that in the macro scale, this price level is definitely close to the bottom.
