Hello fellow miner. Alan here from CryptoBoreas. I hope I'm not being intrusive by e-mailing you directly like this, but in the past you agreed
to be added to our customer waiting list. I also don't know if you're still interested in expanding your mining farm or not, but since we're involved
in the miner hosting industry we have connections and easily hear about who is offering what and for how much, so I thought I'd share this info with you.

I've come across another Canadian company like ours that has some major power capacity available. They have 4 MW ready to be consumed shortly and they told me they
can easily expand to the 100 MW range. We're talking big boy data center stuff here. We recognize that we cannot play the game at this level yet
so rather than keep you on our waiting list forever I think we'd be doing you a bigger favor if we send you over to them.

Being a big data center they are looking for primarily large customers and the last time I talked with them they said 500 mimers minimum but they will try
to be flexible for us if need be. Their rates are higher than ours but they have more capacity than we can ever dream of having.

Here is their pricing structure:

100-500 miners (150kW-750kW) - CAD $95 (full service, includes all taxes (with sales tax)), CAD $50 installation per miner, 3 month full prepayment, 1 year agreement

501-2,500 miners (751kW-3,750kW)  -  CAD $85 (full service, includes all taxes (with sales tax)), CAD $50 installation per miner, 3 month full prepayment, 1 year agreement

2,501-5,000 miners (3,751kW-7,500kW) - CAD $80 (full service, includes all taxes (with sales tax)),  CAD $35 installation per miner, 3 month full prepayment, 1 year agreement

5,001-10,000 miners (7,501kW-15,000kW) -  CAD $75 (full service, includes all taxes (with sales tax)), CAD $25 installation per miner, 3 month full prepayment, 1 year agreement

10,000+ miners (15,000+ kW) - special rates that you'll have to negotiate

We have due diligence info on this company and the people behind it along with pictures of their facility. We are of course going to share this with
you if you request it.

If you are interested in pursuing this further you can either e-mail me here or you can hit me up on Telegram via this link:

Happy mining!

Cheers,
Alan

Walter Russell's Cosmogony is RIGHT!
So a S9 doing 13.75Th uses 1.4Kw....So 1.4x 65 = $91.00/Month

Same S9 makes about $5.75/day ...say 170/mon
So maybe profit of $60/mon/S9

not bad considering diff and price suck

No, unfortunately not anytime "soon" (depending on what you mean by soon). See our website and send us a contact request if you want to be added to the customer waiting list.

Do you have any timeframe in mind? A rough estimate?

I've been on the waiting list since 12th February  Cheesy

Late this year if all goes well. PM me your e-mail so I can check to see what's your spot on the list.

Thank you for your quick response - greatly appreciated.

I've also seen that some of the hosted mining facilities in the US are at capacity and are still getting huge interest from folks who want their equipment hosted there. I wonder if capacity constraints allows some miners to charge what they want (within reasonability). Could that also be at play here in Canada? Anyway, I guess I should just call some of the more expensive guys, such as Quotecolo and Mining Colocation, to understand why they are charging higher fees (I don't see them active here in the forums).

Two more questions: 1. Are your services/offering still the same as in 2014 when you first initiated this post? 2. How much KWH capacity do you have?

The services are the same. Nothing has changed besides that we now have more gear under our wings. You mean free capacity? At the moment zero, but we hope to get some more power either this year or the next.

Not any time soon though? :/

Hey,
I have been looking around to compare prices of hosted mining in Canada. I see very different prices:
It is not clear to me why those prices vary so much. What would I be getting from CryptoBoreas, that I am not getting from the cheaper Bitcoin Miner Hosting option? Also, what am I not getting from CryptoBoreas that I would be getting from Mining Colocation? allinvain - or anyone else, really - can you help me understand those major differences in prices for hosted mining in Canada? It cannot be due to just differences in energy prices across provinces.
Thanks!

Believe it or not it is pretty much mainly down to the difference in energy prices across provinces. It is one of the biggest and most important factors in mining. This is not _the only_ reason but I'd say it the main reason prices vary. Sometimes a company may have their infrastructure capital expenses already amortized and thus they can afford to charge less. Or they could own their own shop completely and thus don't have to factor in rent into the pricing structure.

Many of these hosting providers will charge setup fees and charge you every time your miner requires maintenance or some sort of human intervention. You will typically be billed by the hour. So far we have not implemented such policies yet. We also have no setup fees and no minimum KW requirement. We welcome small to medium miners. I am very much ideologically opposed to the miner centralization phenomenon and if we can offer the "little guy" a chance to compete all the better.

What is your point? Your post was pure speculation and that's all there is to it. You could've checked with me before posting it. We are a very transparent group and would've cleared things up with anyone that is our customer. There is no customer gear or assets at risk nor has there ever been. As far as I can tell you have nothing hosted with us so please quit your FUD'ing or whatever it is you're fishing for.

Are you aware that your partner in Goose Bay has died?  People in town have been looking for someone to claim control of the assets.

I'm not sure what you're on about, but my partner did not die!
