Have you seen the BS that crypto.com is getting rid of the MCO coin?

https://twitter.com/cryptocom/status/1290174946732175362

What sort of bs is that to just eradicate a coin out of nowhere. The only reason I signed up to crypto.com was to get the visa card so I could rack up some MCO because I saw the potential in it with it's fairly limited supply and the demand was there because you needed to buy it to get the cards so I could see the potential in it as crypto.com grew and people signed up for the card and their various rewards. Now they're forcing us to swap it for a coin that has billions in supply and is never going to be worth as much as MCO could have been.

Has this ever been done before? I guess this is the problem with centralized coins as they can just do whatever they want with them. I wonder if they'll be lawsuits over this as they're essentially just deleting an entire currency on their own whim.

Here is a small curiosity... guy bought a house with MCO Crypto card  Cheesy

The guy is buying a house using the MCO card and here I am still waiting for my card lol. @guysatcrypto.com any idea when the rest of the world is going to receive their MCO card? Would be great if I could show my small purchases too.

I saw that and thought it was really cool. Houses are damn cheap there though.

1.5 days left for NEO to go on sale at 50% on crypto.com
https://crypto.com/exchange/syndicate/neo-17

Any idea how they manage to sell some tokens at a 50% cheaper price? I mean how do they make a profit from this type of offer?

From personal experience, (I use it around 6 months in EU), everything works correct. Staking, earning (up to 20% p.a.), cashback rewards (up to 5%), exchange and syndicate actions (possibility to buy some coins with -50%). For card owners they also have free Netflix, Airport lounge etc...
Even during WIRECARD affair (the issuer of VISA for EU), when cards were blocked, they refund all balance from card in 12 hours until cards start to work again.
They have two legit coins CRO (11th place of all coins) and MCO
Use it also for Paypal, and everyday spending. Very accurate and fast response. Never had any issue with undocumented costs.
Small tip for paypal: It is better option that Crypto.com handle the currency conversion...

Hope & Positivity are keys to Success
Ive Never been overcharged by a single Cent, not once.

Im in Europe. Ive sent cash from my bank to top up app 100 euro from bank, arrived as 100 euro in app, no extra fee.
I made payments in store, all 100% to the cent.  With the nice bonus of up to 10% cash back, like when shopping in supermarket like Tesco.
Ive used the card online and again, never been charged a cent more.

Plus always get cashback in the form of $CRO 3% to 10%.

I hope the company has decided to take a more honest route (look at the history with Monaco) and i hope this card is here to stay.    The only thing i dont like, i actually got banned from Telegram chat for simply saying "Defi is a hackers dream"  so they are quite heavy on censorship, which often sets off a few alarms.

But so far, all good.

What have you bought? Cause paypal can easily charge you more on some fees
Do you have the paypal reciept for this transaction? Take a look on the details for what exaclty was you charged for

Does not matter what I buy. PayPal does never charge more. 20 years experience.
I just right now paid to the same seller but used another credit card and voilà the charge on the credit card was right but if I use crypto.com card, it's every time the same - charging me every time 20% more.

It's very interesting, I sent 1000€, the seller gets 1000€. I get an email from crypto.com that I made a purchase of 1200,-€ and I see as well in my transaction story 1200,-€ gone

Does anyone know about the MCO staking to get better interest rates??? It says if you have 500 or more MCO staked that you can get better interest but does that have to be when you stake for the card and not in the regular 'crypto earn' -- if that makes any sense??? When you stake for the card initially it seems that goes into a separate MCO pot which you have to lock up for six months and doesn't earn interest -- unless I'm mistaken. If you then staked 500 MCO in the crypto earn would this then quality you for the higher interest? I'm thinking it doesn't but locking 500 MCO for six months when you could have it in the regular crypto earn feature earning you interest every month doesn't seem worth it.

It looks like he's saying crypto.com charged him that not Paypal. If you pay through Paypal they usually show you the fees and what it costs before you click submit.

yeah, that's why I asked him to check with paypal, cause it's strange that he could be charged more than he had to be charged
there has to be a logic explanation

regarding the staking, can you be more precise please, what interests are you targeting at?

I paid with the crypto.com card today and crypto.com charged for me 20% more for the transaction.
I bought for 1000,-€ and crypto.com charged 1200,-€

The payment I've done was with the card through my Paypal account.

I immediately contacted the support. They told me, that the merchant takes 20% more than they reverse that 20% after maximum of 5 days.
What? did anybody of you saw that bullshit somewhere?
I'm using credit cards more than 20 years and I see that bullshit first time.

And guess what, I paid to the same seller before, and they don't charge me 20% extra.

Have all the proofs on my hand.

What's going on here?

Till today I used this card for a few months, there was everything alright, but now with this case I'm sceptic what they doing there.

So if they transfer the provider will the current card render useless and they would have to reissue the cards?

I agree when I first staked in their platform I was really worried too that they will shut down shop run away with funds.

I would imagine that the cards will need to be reissued by the new company, but it only effects users in Europe I think. Maybe there's someway to transfer accounts since the cards are issued by VISA but it probably depends on how operative and cooperative the defunct company is if at all.
Curve was another fintech company affect by the Wirecard fiasco. I got an email later this morning saying the card is working again.
No need to re-issue.
I hope Crypto.com can do the same

That's great to hear and because of that the price of MCO is also slowly recovering. It's a good thing that it got resolved so quickly otherwise issues like this usually take a long time to recover.

Yah, it's apparently working again now. Gotta admit I thought it might be one of things that takes forever to sort out.

Does anyone know if you can easily set up direct debits on the card? I'm assuming you can as they offer you cashback on subscription services like Netflix and spotify, but does anyone know if you would get the cashback rewards on paying a credit card balance with it? I have an amazon credit card and I like to use that currently to collect their reward points but it would be great if I could pay the balance with the crypto.com card every month and collect the crypto cash back for that direct debit as well.
