I'm not even considering this article worths my time to spend to read. Cryptocurrency which follow the same as bitcoin did, will never going to disappear, at least not within the next few era.

If people will defend their right to choose and cryptocurrency, the government can not do anything.  No government has yet substantiated its point of view regarding the prohibition of cryptocurrency, and therefore I believe that this is only a manipulation in order not to let the income of its citizens out of control.

It is clear that cryptocurrencies are here to stay, there is a marked tendency towards their use, acceptance and legalization, it is observed that Facebook has already planned to launch the cryptocurrency "libra". united with large companies, this is no coincidence, they know that cryptocurrencies will become the mainstay of the economy in the future and will most likely replace fiat money.

I really do not share Jim Rogers' view that cryptocurrencies are going to disappear simply because governments have guns, often forget that governments are at the service of people and do not function like islands, cryptocurrencies are going to gain a position solid in the market because they adapt perfectly to this new digital and globalized era, the pressure on the part of the users of a system is much greater than any weapon and cryptocurrencies are not a whim, but a great opportunity for all.

I don't agree with you, however we as a community in this forum must try to keep Bitcoin alive. Don't be provoked by outsiders, because they only know about paper money.

the one that say crypto will die its like saying in the beginning that peer to peer file sharing will die and come from very low uneducted people which very simple things in life cannot understand....and sum it all

to say crypo will die its like to say the end of the world come....

do we need to added more ...no ...

when blockchain technology has been widely used now and people think this is the future, what about cryptocurrency ?? this is also the future and I think it will not disappear and will continue to grow, even though many parties try to eliminate it, because they are very confident in paper money and do not believe in the future, or maybe they are afraid of losing their paper money assets..

to be honest for now I don't believe in any articles and any news, because the reality is always wrong or the opposite of what was said.
about predictions of failures, prohibitions and all kinds of them.
I will just look ahead and do a little research, then let the time show everything.

A lot of cryptocurrency might disappear,  indeed,  as they are just pure speculative without any added value for blockchain users.

However, some coins are quite valuable (top 10 mainly if you remove Ripple) and I think they still have a bright future ahead.

It could be the best if we don't think of its ends, instead tried look of its positive side and asking back to our self, why it should  be happen?
It is a market adoption where people give support to cryptocurrency, it probably won't be stay longer if we don't have such trust and never seeing it good for us.  But it have and there is no reason why it gonna be disappear.

Both cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are new technologies which are still in the testing and adoption phase. Both are doing great at the moment as many countries have started legalizing cryptocurrencies in their country.  The only way we can really benefit fully from blockchain technology is by using cryptocurrencies too.

Blockchain technology backs cryptocurrencies so there is no way it is going to die soon. I believe that the world is accepting blockchain technology and there is no way it is gonna vanish.

For me, cryptocurrency is not going to disappear even theirs a lot of issues that cryptocurrency are facing, and yet they are some big company already accept cryptos as payment, and this establishment that is accepting cryptos are also growing. But if the bitcoin reaches its limit, it might have a chance, but the probability is meager especially that there are more countries legally accept bitcoin and another cryptocurrency. Smiley

Cryptocurrency will stay for a long time and will grow fast in the future as I am sure that the new technology will grow and will change everything we know. Right now, the new technology still on the development and it's on the way to launch and I guess that it will not takes too long to see there is a new technology will release. And related to the cryptocurrency, I think there is a new technology in the blockchain network that will integrate with the blockchain or something like that so the cryptocurrency will grow more.

I don't think if you check the market cap there a lot of cryptocurrencies, that are gaining support and interest from the community, and there are a lot of cryptocurrencies that keeps on developing their products and platforms, cryptocurrency is here to stay and they are going to stay alongside Bitcoin.

Increasing market cap doesn't guarantee anything. And for many of the lesser known altcoins, a large part of the circulating supply is not in free-float, which means that these coins are not actively traded. So the market capitalization calculated by coinmarketcap may be inflated. Right now, I would say that the market cap stats are accurate only for Bitcoin.
As what I have understand, the guy above talk about the marketcap or the coinmarketcap and not realy the market capacity of bitcoin as we know since the start the total market cap varies accordingly with respect to the supply and demand in the current market and it will not disappear because the more people buy it and decrease its supply will make its value more high until the cycle of buy and sell will never put to end.

In the first 10 years, bitcoin didn't disappear, so you guys think that in the next 10 years it will suddenly became obsolete?

I understand the obsession with blockchain technology, every minor and major companies are joining the bandwagon and replacing their legacy systems because they heard so much positive about this technology. However, saying crypto in general will disappear, I doubt it, even Facebook, a multi billion company wanted to enter the picture with their Libra coin next year.

That’s not a new statement at all, so much people think that cryptocurrency will eventually disappear but blockchain will stay. Honestly i don’t think that cryptocurrency will be totally gone, there will be a few solid coins at least.
