Ups and downs are part of the game. Being a Cryptolover, we need to adapt to the situation thus forgetting the market capitalization. Whensoever there is a bear market, need to build/accumulate our favorite coins and then wait for the right moment to get profit. Crypto shouldn't be taken merely as a Price gain. It is a technology to be taken advantage of rather.

Those who understand that all this capitalization is actually just air, they all already know that these are empty numbers that can change very quickly as soon as the situation with cryptocurrencies changes.

It is estimated that that the Cryptocurrency market capitalization went down to $200 billion from $800 billion that it was as at January 2018.
I believed it was due to the bearish market .
What I do not understand is while there is continuous growth of Cryptocurrency, people are picking interest and coming into the cryptosphere and yet the market capitalization is still not moving upwards.
What could be the challenge here?

The one thing what can be true is that we will never see such big market cappitalization because too many people were involved in the big bubble in late 2017. But it was created by retail investors, not by smart money. What will happen if the situation changes and smart money will come?  Shocked Wink
It's not created by the retail investor but the speculators did it. How can you say if the retail investors are creating it while we have seen so many speculation news in 2017 and that doesn't make sense at all dude.
Smart money will come after crypto has proven itself.

Crypto currency market capitalisation isn't something clear for me. let's take btc. We have 17 mln of btc and like 5 mln are lost. Some of the rest are in hold for a long time, so we have like 3x time less in real circulation.
This is about liquidity!
currently the Cryptocurrency market is in poor condition so almost all coins are unstable so we cannot carry out activities that can generate large amounts.
maybe in a long time or in the future everything will change and the market will improve, so we will make a profit.
Bitcoin is also experiencing ups and downs and is not clear and he is currently not big up in value .

Doesn't matter what the current market capitalization is. In fact we shouldn't even worry about it. The capitalization will itself start to increase slowly as more people starts to use and adopt crypto currencies. It is bound to happen as more people gets involved into the crypto market.  As more people will demand for those limited supply of coins, the price of the coins will start to rise eventually. This in turn will cause the market capitalization to uproar!

I hope cryptocurrency market capitalization will continue to grow starting in the past few weeks. We can see that price movements are starting to grow significantly, maybe this is the beginning of a change in atmosphere. I hope the bear market season will soon end quickly without delay. Thank you so much!!

At the moment, market capitalization, in my opinion, is not quite correct, there are a lot of trading volumes at the  exchanges, which was made by bots, which is certainly not very good.

A lot of people joined the crypto ecosystem in the early 2018 because they saw the opportunity of tripling their money just by either investing in Bitcoin or Ethereum. This caused the cryptocurrency market capitalization to increased but the decline in the capitalization started when these people realized that their assumptions of the crypto ecosystem is not the same as the real transactions made on the crypto market. This caused such people to exist the crypto ecosystem because they were losing their money.

Tripling? I think people were thinking more like x10 or even x100!

And no, I do not think this specifically caused market cap to increase. If you look at trading volumes after the top 50 you see that some tokens in fact had so little volume. Remember Bitconnect also? and Ripple even? or USDT? These were inflated in price, and then also they were releasing new tokens all the time into circulation,,, and at the same time ICOs were listing, this was what was making the market cap fat.

It was because the hype of cryptocurrency has occurred in 2017 ending, then the correction came after.
From now on, i think crypto market has reached its bottom, and still growing today.
Peoples are interested in cryptocurrency, but they maybe just watching it until the market recover.

You should simply compare the numbers and volumes when the market capitalisation was by 800 and right now. Science that moment, a lot of people have lost faith and left the market. We will return to such stats as soon as the market recovers.

As my personal interpretation CoinmarketCap is just base on the current trading price on a particular coin/token in the circulation and not reflect the platforms true worth and value as a company thats why its not the basis of the platforms worth! The most important is the fuction/services or the product that the company has given to us, But for those people who after with pure profits coin/token price has meant a lot. Like me i used to participate in some ICO's my sole purpose is just the profits thats why its mean lot for me too .

I think the main challenge is that I keep my coins for a long time with rising market prices, because now the market price has not increased, so I will wait for higher prices.

Perhaps you do not quite understand what market capitalization is. For market capitalization is considered to be the cost of one coin multiplied by the number of coins that are available at a given time. In other words, it does not give us an idea of the true value of coins and their current value is dictated by speculation.

Most statistics that you have seen in some exchanges are fake and you shouldn't believe it when you just saw it. You should have to do your own research too but choose the legit one because sometimes it creates confusion if you get to know the wrong information. If we have seen some movements in the market then it is just due to the traders and some investors joining in.

Basically the crypto market After reaching its peak, everything about prices will go down, almost the same as Bitcoin.
this is very influential on the project of conducting an ICO, so it is a bit difficult to guess the crypto market with selling coins can put pressure on those prices for traders and hodlers, so that it can cause market prices to fall further, more on demand than on offer.

The challenge would be the rumors of manipulation. Others are very sure that there is a manipulation, I don't have proofs to show so I'd like to remain and say that it's still a rumor for me. Crypto market is pure speculative market and this is the reason why investors like you are very curious on how the market moves until now. Even me, though I'm in here for few years I can say that the market is very unpredictable as usual and we just can't be confident with what we say.

Our biggest challenge is to save the coins that we have until the market rises, there is still a lot of sales panic in every market so I think many investors avoid large purchases, market volumes improve but not yet fully trusted, history may be repeated but everyone still doubts
Yeah because now every challenger, investor and trader in the crypto world is very knowledgeable to manage their remaining balance in bitcoin. When the market is downfall then the bitcoin value and price will also down and if the market will high also the bitcoin will high. Now in our crypto world we need to be strategic on what you have because if you fail your investment will lose. We need to monitor the market price to earn more profit when it comes to bitcoin community. A knowledgeable and strategic investor will be the one who will reach his/her goal.
