Good for us non-miners due to too many viruses and malware making you mine monero coins without realising! Also, a lot of people are turning off anti-virus protection due to false positives so glad they are putting a stop to this.

I don't turn off my anti-virus dude, doing so will bring more harm to your pc in the long run. But I have to agree with because those mining software are taking advantage of many users without them knowing why their PC is slowing down. But I'm sure that they will find another way to exploit this system so everyone should be careful about the sites you are visiting because we really don't know that extend of this malware in case you visited a site that contains it.

Cryptocurrency is no longer an unfamiliar thing for all of us, especially Bitcoin whose rising prices continue to rise. After a month of rumors about the sale of the Luxembourg-based cryptocurrency currency, Bitstamp, to unknown South Korean investors, it is estimated that buyers' names may be revealed by an anonymous source to become a developer is a Nexon gaming company. Nexon is a South Korean video game company, famous for developing games like FIFA Online and Counter-Strike. Nexon was founded in 1995, it moved its headquarters to Tokyo in 2005 but still maintains offices in South Korea, the United States, Taiwan, and Thailand. The company's $ 1.2 billion initial public offering on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in December 2011 was the largest in Japan.

I strongly believe that extensions stealing resources and power from unwitting users should be banned. If they were upfront about what they are doing, but in most cases they plug-in is fronting as something else and unknown to most users, it's doing something else beside the stated purpose.

It’s better not to have malicious extension. I don’t think Google chrome extension is a popular need among miners. Scams and fake things are affecting Bitcoin very badly these days.

I'm not surprise by this moved from Google. Not just in crypto but in other industries as well. If you can find and exploit their system sooner or later those companies will either ban it or totally shut it down.

If I remember correctly, and for those SEO/SEM experts out there, some SEO experts found some exploits on Google way back and its easy to go to page 1 of your niche or keyword. But when Google finds out what those experts are doing, they suddenly change algorithm thus, rendering them useless. Its gonna be a cat and mouse business. As for the effects, I don't see it last, it will be short live and bitcoin can still flourish even with the crypto ads banned by giant social medias.

That's a right decision from Google.
I think people who mined bitcoin using google chrome are people who are not responsible because they bitcoin can be destroyed and can not walk normally way so I support the decision made by google
I think it's a very wise decision, so what's the problem ??

Yes, This is a good decision. Because many people are disappointed nowadays because if they tried to mine cryptocurrencies and the site is scam, They are no longer get back their investments and bitcoins that they paid on it. It is a good decision in able for us to be protected. Thanks to Google!

This is really sad for me. I mean why? Google’s Chrome in my favorite, but why do they have to do this. Google’s Chrome Web Store will no longer accept extensions that mine cryptocurrency. It’s not acceptable for me.

I at all do not understand as Google could admit such extensions earlier! They must control such things because millions of people trust this company.

There is always sun after rainy days, dont worry. Crypto market will grow back someday, but nobody know when. The problem is that turbulences of rate are too high. It stops cryptocurrencies to break into mainstream. Every alt coin is correlated with Btc. Solution may be projects like Nebula Network where rate of exchange is rock stable thanks to emission mechanism tied to their supply. That is solid backing in form of computational power and disc space (nebula is storage cloud) Would it be a future of crupto market?

I dont even use chrome extension apps but i think that stop crypto mining extension app might help to lessen the mining apps online thats why they remove it. Also chrome will observe the app if its still worth or it is really legit because many mining website today used to be scams.

Google will no longer accept Chrome extensions that mine cryptocurrency

Google’s Chrome Web Store will no longer accept extensions that mine cryptocurrency. The company says there has been a rise in “malicious extensions” over the past few months which appear to be useful but are actually embedding hidden cryptocurrency mining scripts that run in the background without consent, consuming valuable computing resources. Google says existing extensions will be delisted from the Chrome Web Store in late June, though extensions with blockchain-related purposes “other than mining” will still be permitted.

no one needs google. extensions will then be sold via other channels

I am not really worried about this news.
I think there is a lot of bad news for crypto but if we can review it will not really have a big impact, let alone just for the deletion as the OP convey.

I do not know why does the google and Facebook did this in cryptocurrency. Do they not have profits or did they not benefits in cryptocurrency? Well, I think there is a reason behind the ban. Not only in the sense that crypto ads and ICO are mostly scam but there is a tremendous reason behind it. And now, they did not let the crypto extensions to be part of chrome. This is very bad news in crypto enthusiast.
