Cryptocurrency is the future asset. I am involved in crypto today cos I so much believe that crypto is the most secure way for financial breakthrough. It doesn't matter how long it takes to be financially independent, what matters is that you're been informed about crypto and you're grabbing the necessary information and knowledge to make a living out of it.
To me, no time is late for someone to get to know about crypto cos there is still a majority that still doesn't know or heard about crypto before. I believe one day they will and they will still start their journey from there

I agree with you, Cryptocurrency really pays  Cheesy
From personal experience, I’m sorry that at the very beginning I wasn’t more serious and believed more in bitcoin.
Somehow in the beginning it was a hobby for me in my free time and only later I started to take it more seriously.
But well, I'm not complaining, although it could have been better, I still earned a lot of bitcoin and I'm calmly waiting for the future and new growth of btc and other cryptocurrencies.
All of us here have a chance at life and we need to make the most of it  Grin

Many who were into cryptocurrency are now expert in the crypto world and living large.
They are rich not because cryptocurrencies made them rich, they are rich because they invested wisely, the crypto world is the most dangerous place to be if you see it as where money grows, money does not grow money only add value when you put it in fertile soil(good investment )same as crypto.

Some of your friends who went into crypto blindly also got broke this is what it is, crypto is money and money needs to be well planned for before putting in something you believed.

Some years back when I heard about cryptocurrency from a friend, at that time I didn't bothered to ask him what it was all about and how it works. I was having the feelings that cryptocurrency was like a ponzi scheme that could crash at any time. I never knew cryptocurrency is the future currency. Many who were into cryptocurrency are now expert in the crypto world and living large. Today am so glad to be in this forum to learn and get more knowledge about cryptocurrency.
Just by knowing cryptocurrency, it is already a one of a lifetime experience and an opportunity you should not ever miss. Still, you need to learn the process and how it really works because it is just like you are disregarding your knowledge in relation with it if you if you are not going to figure the ways on how it can pay you off. Make sure that you are wise and smart with your decision making as you enter the crypto world. Let us all be grateful because we are blessed with the chance to be knowledgeable as early as we can in crypto.

Get to know how the blockchain operate and what this project are focusing development on.

And that will become one important way to becoming rich as @ OP is regretting.

Getting to understand the blockchain is giving direction on line of investment so that when a project is out, you can easily know the purpose it is coming to fulfill because every project is out to do a purpose. Therefore the people who have made riches from cryptocurrency or any other aspect of live may not have done that with a stroke of luck but by hard work and hard work is not by procrastination but by getting into active action to back up the desire to be rich.

So referring to OP you don't need to express regret because you need to understand the system and follow the rules to every aspect of life. If you understand blockchain, then you can also make a good choice of coins to invest because it will mostly grow faster.

One can really say for sure crypto currency generally pays depending on the project and your profit target. For investors it would require lots of patience and for traders it would require both fundamental and technical analysis but in all it really pays

The media in the past have likened crypto to ponzi schemes and scams, thus shaping the reaction of the public to crypto but all that is changing now as more and more people like yourself are beginning to see what's can really be accomplished here.

I guess you are refering to your friends you mentioned earlier. But that can't be right. The number of years one has been in the crypto doesn't make you an expert.  Don't be fooled by the luxurious lifeatyle posed on the internet. The crypto space is not all rosy as you will soon come to find out.
Here are some good books you could read up. Good luck

I don't think we can see bitcoin price go above $10 million (8 digits) in our lifetime unless fiat is severely devalued and it definitely won't happen in next decade, in that short time $1 million is a possibility but not much past that.

I have a very strong feeling that it'll reach $10M before 2030. It doesn't matter that much if fiat is severely devaluated over time. The way I see Bitcoin is as a game of accumulation. It is designed to make these these huge fluctuations on every bull run. There are two halvings remaining on this decade and I'll choose to wait for both of them.

But, it ain't just that. As you said, there will be inflation and to be specific hyperinflation. Yes, I actually believe that we'll live some tragic times with the inflation of the dollar. A new term seems to be seeking across the internet:  Hyperbitcoinization.

And then we have the central bank digital currencies. Completely decentralized cryptocurrencies that provide privacy and (pseudo) anonymity like Bitcoin and Monero will be the escape of the whole system.

Today am so glad to be in this forum to learn and get more knowledge about cryptocurrency.
You should also be glad, that you've understood the benefits of it, while it's value is 5-digit represented. Surely, the price spikes won't be same like it was 10 years ago, but you can still catch the train. We may see 6, 7 or even 8 digits within the next 6-7 years. There isn't a better thing than these temporary dips. Bitcoin is more than that though!

Anyway, welcome to this forum, you'll find everything you're looking for.  Wink

Let me tell ya as well my story back then.
I thought that Bitcoin was like "criminal's money" back in the days, because I first heard it when I was learning everything about dark web. It was mentioned that Bitcoin is the primary currency there.
From that I thought it is an illegal coin, but moving forward to 2017, I was told that it wasn't an illegal coin but rather pseudonymous transaction that's why it is being used there, but the coin itself wasn't illegal.

People spreading FUD say this about bitcoin not cryptocurrency in general and it is wrong about bitcoin but not altcoins. In fact most altcoins are very much like Ponzi schemes and worse. For example tokens that have been springing up like mushrooms under the code-name ICO, later changed to IEO, STO, and currently disguised as DeFi are pure scams. All these scam garbage coins have been crashing too. They just get short term pumps and then crash as the dumpers begin dumping.

Many who were into cryptocurrency are now expert in the crypto world and living large. Today am so glad to be in this forum to learn and get more knowledge about cryptocurrency.

They aren't expert per se as not everything that you see on social media you should believe. They could be leaving large but most of them were lucky due to the decision they took. We have millions today from dogecoin investment, these guys if you were to seek for their advice will start suggesting shitcoin for you to invest in, in hopes of replicating their success with dogecoin.

Will you call such people experts?, I doubt so. They're basically gamblers that got lucky and now speculating on other projects. We have many beneficiary today that knows nothing about the fundamentals of a coin but yet they have achieved bigger success than those that have all the skills to spot a potential good project.

Hope you're not joining the industry because you want to live large too, focus more on learning and understanding how the industry works. There's more to mere price appreciation of coin you invested in. Get to know how the blockchain operate and what this project are focusing development on.

Don't argue people who got into crypto early are living a big life by now but you can't call them quite specialists tho lol. But as far as your goal is to learn its essence before buying it might make you a specialist before you start living big. But keep in mind to invest the money that you can afford to lose. Crypto is gambling unless you create it you know creators in person, at least that's what for me.

The early crypto enthusiast seemed like the lucky once because they they were novice or should I say newbies to the system they became the opportunist and stood the chance to make the most out of there little investment at the time as bitconhad almost no value. It was abrisk that paid off and its still paying up to the moment.  You just have to find the most convenient time to get into the market and be ready to hodl for a longer time. Little wonder why they say, hodlers benefit the most from cryptos.  As much as the time you get in matters, your strategy about your crypto investment is what matters the most. So far, hodling has been one of the best of strategy there is. The only risk there is time and then, you've got to master your emotions about your coin.

I was having the feelings that cryptocurrency was like a ponzi scheme that could crash at any time.

Pretty much the same mistake most Bitcoin/crypto critics are notorious for doing— making conclusions a bit too quickly without even doing enough research to know what they're actually criticizing in the first place.
This same mistake are done by some Governments. without researching or investigating deeply Many countries still banning crypto, or they don't make it clear that it's legal or illegal there. But they don't admit that they have not much knowledge about tech in this modern world. Maybe they will understand about crypto in the future but they will must regret that why they did not accept crypto few years ago. Smiley
