We are attempting a break past the downtrend right here at 39k. Its above the weekly average in doing so and for the moment keeps alive the idea that BTC will now resolve the negative trend to attempt a higher price once again.

I do think whatever happens over this weekend with certain exchanges also has to be replicated and probably repeated during the week by all exchanges simultaneously. Consensus and also volume makes that probable as highest volume is during the working weekend very often.

It’s how it is mate. You can’t expect always that cryptocurrencies are off to a great start anytime of the year. It doesn’t give a specific timeline or period on their exact bull and bear runs. Now we all thought that the 4th quarter is always the bull run period of Bitcoin, but this isn’t the case anymore. Look at the charts of December 2018 and 2021 where we see the bear run period of BTC. Always expect the unexpected.

If you are thinking long term about BTC, I suggest you don’t mind what is the current price right now, because it’ll eventually be making a surprise bull run anytime without warning.

Lessons learned again in, December is not always a period of massive peak of price. It could happen much earlier like November wherein we already reaches the top price of around $68k. And then many expected that December will be like the penultimate push to a new all time high, a 6 digit price that didn't happen. So yeah, expect the unexpected and just be observant of the market movement as the sentiments might really be shift in just an instant.

The downstream of bitcoin started since last year November to December, and it was the same period people started lamenting on the prediction of bitcoin and mostly the acceleration of it without knowing that it may result out down fall, it's not surprised that the price began to reduce without direction this year, so the aspect of ATH it's very clear that bitcoin is father's of other coin, immediately it have deficiency via market demand and supply it really encroached or extend to other coins, know any other coin can arise without bitcoin getting values or increasing to another height.

The dump is not a permanent in the cryptocurrency field. Just wait for some week or one month, the price will back to the high value.Holding for the one month is essential for now. People was sad due to their trading and price reduction. No need to worry at the dump and hold to get good high values.

I mean does it really matter, everybody is rushing for Bitcoin to bounce back that quickly. Corrections and dips are essential to the market cycle.
Without correction Bitcoin will never get to reach new ATH.

I agree, people are panicking for no reason at all, it is true the price is now below the 40k level which was considered to be the floor for the price of bitcoin, but even if right now the price is at 35k this is a huge opportunity for those that are not afraid to buy the dip, how many people have been wishing that the price of bitcoin was lower so they could buy more of it? It may or may not. I don't know what will happen at the end of the year but I doubt very much that the next few months will be bullish and we will beat last year's ath of over $70K. With the FED withdrawing stimulus, and Russia and the EU considering banning mining, it is normal that we will have a few months with low price. Surely we will recover a little from the recent fall but I do not see spectacular rises, unless we have news like Amazon accepting Bitcoin or something like that but I see unlikely news like this in this environment.

It's normal to Bitcoin that has a correction and I think it's not yet a negative result yet we are still on a bullish trend.

Correct, just keep on buying great coins and projects even if the market is falling because for sure it can still recover and you will not regret it because of the sacrifices that you have made during the down trend. This is just a first month of the year, expect many ups and downs the whole year because this has been the trend of cryptocurrency, just enjoy the ride.

Others are saying it is unfair or even wrong to continue saying things like buy more at cheap prices or be excited when the prices are down. We all know there are many of us who bought Bitcoin at higher prices. We are sad that we are losing as far as those prices are concerned. That is a fact. But can we do something about it? No, there's nothing to be done. We can only wait. What is more important for now is that if we have extra money, it is best to grab the opportunity while the price is down. It can't always be this cheap.
