Taking into account black's most likely responses I'm in favor of Rd1.

I find it difficult to come up with a winning plan for this game. Maybe Nxd6 will help us more? I'm not sure.

I am looking at 30.Rc1 30.Rd1 and 30.Nxd6 but am not ready to vote yet. This is a complicated endgame.

Based on the votes in this thread Team Monero has chosen to play Kh6. Now it is time for Team Boolberry to respond. I will plan to count votes again tomorrow at approximately 0:00 UTC.

We likely went wrong a few moves ago and now will have to fight for a draw.

I think it was move 19 and 21 trying to keep the Queen in the g file. It didn't buy us much and we lost some tempo.

Edit: We are far from precarious though and could fight out a draw. @letsplay is just relentless however, so let's see  Shocked

I think it was the Queens exchange, because it let us with a terrible pawn structure and it released the pressure over the black King.

At that stage it had become necessary and it was more of an effect than cause. Anyways, let's keep battling  Wink

29.Nxd6 Ra6 30.Nxb7 dxc4 looks horrible for us. We cannot recapture with bxc4 because of Rb8 or Rb6+ winning our knight.

Well, I'm sorry, but that's not the way to analyze a position. I mean, after 29... Ra6 why Nxb7? why not something more useful like c5?

Anyway, the idea of analyze a position is to opt for the best moves for each side, not just for the other side Wink

But then after c5 black could play Nf4 and we are not able to defend against every threat.
Nxd6 will bring us many troubles.

The Knight is on f4 already, perhaps you mean Nd3; then we can take on b7 and so on.

That's ok, I'm just saying that it's another path, more complex, for sure, but I wouldn't say "worst" Wink (in my opinion, ofc)

If 29.Nxd6 Ra6 30.c5 Nd3 31.Nxb7 Nxf2 32.Rh2 Nd3 (or Ne4) black looks close to winning. Black will be able to deal with the b and c pawns (because of pins and threats against whites king) but white will not be able to stop the black pawns from advancing.

Unfortunately, I am not a big fan of our position after 29.cxd5 either. We likely went wrong a few moves ago and now will have to fight for a draw.

From my perspective, I would chase the black Knight with my King, and I guess it could be possible to move our b pawn and our Knight to close the way for the Rooks and capture the threatening a pwan with our King. I know, it's like a risky plan, but that's what I would try. Maybe I like more the adventured positions than the "secured" ones Smiley

In any case, I'm enjoying this game very much! It's very exciting! Smiley

Yes, Nd3, indeed. I am not sure that those exchanges favor us for as far as I could calculate.

My idea is that if we open up the c-file we can move our Rook there.

Not only that, but even following your full line, after 30... dxc4 31. Nc5 saves the day.
