Have sent statutory demand first then letter of demand, though there may have been a mix up in the mail with the letter of demand. Currently sorting this out.

Same here. Sent a letter a month ago. Somehow, hasn't been delivered yet. Let's coordinate on the next action.

About 41000 AUD so far, if I calculated correctly.
Come on, people, I'm sure there are persons out there who still wait for their money, sent a letter of demand and received no answer.

About $5500 stolen off me.

I'm almost inclined to go for a drive and meet this scammer face to face

Haha not a bad idea Tongue

Anyone contacted law enforcement yet?

It's troubling to see all this.  I am new to this scene, and am looking at making my first buy.

But sheesh!  everywhere I turn there have been troubles.

MTgox accounts hacked (probably key-logger software).
Coinbase  super slow delivery issues in recent days.
this one...

I am wondering if I should just stay clear.

what are people's recent experiences with btc-e?

TIA

BTC4Amazon is a good person to deal with. If you have Skype his Skype is BTC4Amazon  - Personally trusted him with 300+ BTC

28 BTC and 8000 NMC lost. Oh well, not like it was very much. I'm so used to being fucked over by bitcoin businesses I don't even care anymore.

BTW: Anybody seen my full one-year subscription to Bitcoin Magazine that I paid for over a year ago but never received? Oh, while you’re at it, look for my GLBSE shares too. Maybe their hiding in the same place!

You're wrong. If you follow the bitcoins, they are being used as we speak. The funds, bitcoin or USD, do not just 'dissappear'.

Guys, check your (MtGox, personal etc.) wallets, there should be a record of the sums sent to CryptoXChange. The address you sent to is the deposit address. Without that proof, you're just helping calculate a total loss, but I don't think you have any claim.

I have an email trail of the transfer to bank account request, I have copies of all real money documentation being sent to them. I dont need a bitcoin address to make a valid claim. It won't matter in any case since they have done a runner, and nobody is getting paid back anything.

I do arbitrage trading, so I regularly transfer coins all over the place.  No way I could tell which addresses were for CryptoXChange with any reliability.

I do have detailed e-mail records of all my trades (hundreds, probably thousands) there from my trading bot though (date/time, amount of trade, BTC/USD balance at the time).

- 5758 USD + 250 AUD + 0.25 BTC
- No idea
- 12/6 (was trying to set up a bank account so I could actually make a withdrawal)
- 0

If someone local intends to pursue them in court, I'd be happy to talk about assigning my debt for some percentage of what is recovered.
