I have opened an account with CryptoXchange with my other e-mail address ([email protected]) in 2012 & my Bitcoin wallet is: 1CWxx7y9cYHC13zuQYDiZBBgNW6vU4Z6CR.
They have also verified my Bank account of India.
In September 2012, I have received 90.33BTC and by CryptoXchange, I kept this money with them.
However all of a sudden they closed down without paying up equivalent amount or returning my Bitcoins and my many attempts to contact them have failed and all my mails got bounced.
It all started by blocking my access to my account.
Later to my horror, I found from google search that my own money, 90.33BTC have been stolen by someone intentionally, as below:

This is very clear that CryptoXchange started operation with a criminal mindset to rob their un-suspecting clients and I am a victim.
Is there a way out to get my money back ?
Please help.

Nope, welcome to Bitcoin. I've been waiting for them to return my coin too. I had a bunch of Namecoin with them also. Just lock all your Bitcoins in a safe on a paper wallet because sending them to an exchange you risk losing all of them. Or just trade them for product at a huge reputable company like Overstock or Newegg. Why should you take the risk. Let the company be the loser when the exchange disappears.

Omg you guys had so much money in that exchange what where you thinking? It would be worth picking up an old computer or getting a computer someone is throwing away and setting up a clean linux machine. This would be for storing your bitcoins and is safe from every day user use.

I takes some time to setup but its well worth it.

Can't speak for others, but I was doing arbitrage trading which requires me to keep a balance at the exchange.  I've pretty much chalked up my loss as a cost of doing business and moved on, but I'm sure others lost a lot more.

For what it's worth, got a response from NSW:

Quote
Dear Mr XXXXXXX

I refer to your correspondence dated 10 April 2013 regarding Crypto X Change.

NSW Fair Trading's attempts to contact the trader have been unsuccessful as the trader could not be located at the address provided nor traced from further investigations of other locations.  Therefore, mediation of your complaint has not been possible.

In the circumstance, you may wish to contact the Australia Security and Investment Commission (ASIC) in regards to the conduct of Kenseycol Pty Ltd . ASIC is responsible for the conduct and registration of companies in Australia and their web address is www.asic.gov.au.

Alternatively, you may wish to obtain your own independent legal advice regarding your rights and options in this matter.

Just watched that report, I'm surprised the ABC actually ran a story on it.
At least this might get some more attention now.

I lost 25 BTC at the time which I exchanged for $325AUD.
Don't I feel stupid now considering the recent price hike.

Has anyone else filled in the form for a complaint to NSW Fairtrading? What info did you provide? I wonder how many complaints they would need to look into this.

I filled it out - just wrote in the detail section approximately how much my bitcoin was worth back then and how much it's worth now - that i was actively trading them - and info from the CXC crooks thread - all ways electrical - colin armitt / ken armitt

I think they would need at least 100 complaints to take this seriously - They currently get complaints in the thousands for other companies.

Same here. Sent a letter a month ago. Somehow, hasn't been delivered yet. Let's coordinate on the next action.

I am looking at filing a winding-up order but upfront fees are high (3K-5K) as per my solicitor who did the stat demand. Maybe we can join forces in filing the application? not sure how though.

Does your solicitor have any ideas? I'd be interested in some sort of class action against these scum.

Either way I'd be happy to even get half of my funds back - the other half can go towards making it possible.

I'll second that, but not too keen on throwing more good money after bad.

Are the dickholes of CryptoXcam still active in the community?

Mahin Gupta is one of the scammers, what was Kent lastname, and anybody knows where he lives?

Centralize the action by rounding up as many victims as possible and getting everyone to assist in some way.
Or go the opposite way and put up a bounty...

Either way I'd be happy to even get half of my funds back - the other half can go towards making it possible.
